  1. No, but you didn't do anything wrong! The idea is to make sure your players are all one type of chemistry on a side (like Ground ad Pound on O or Run Stuff on D) so your team plays better. The gold cards have high chemistry, the silver next highest, then bronze.
  2. His card goes for at least 17,000+, but of course that's his regular card, which is rated very high, in the 90s. I chose J.J. Watt because the game automatically gives you a good QB, HB, and WR.
  3. There is a game mode called Madden Ultimate Team, or MUT, where you play games for coins and assemble a team from packs of cards and you have card auctions and trades. It is seriously fun!
  4. Man, I'm getting pretty ticked off they have Geno Smith in MUT but no E.J. Manuel... seriously pissed!!!!
  5. If anyone needs any help at all, I've been doing genealogy for 20 years, long before ancestry.com Just PM me!
  6. You don't know that!!! The Patriots aren't the 16-0 team from a few years back. They are on the decline, and having Manuel in there could turn the tide. I'm not buying this at all. E.J. will start Week One, and Belichick will have little of a game plan to rest on because, as he admitted, there is little film to study.
  7. Did anyone ever stop and think that Marrone is doing this ON PURPOSE to make Billy boy think Manuel will not start Week One to screw up his preparation? OK, continue with the sky is falling talk...
  8. This thread needed a laugh real bad....
  9. "Athletes can be gamers too!!" No crap.
  10. I guess I didn't have as much heartache with him leaving because he couldn't handle a couple of posters than I did with people actually trying to defend him, as if he was Grantland Rice or George Plimpton and was severely wronged. I could not believe that the equivalent of a stubbed toe could cause someone to cry bloody murder!
  11. Holy crap, we actually agree... LOL I should write a piece about him and call it "The Tale of Sir Robin" This came out today as well... only legislation will move this Rock of Gibraltar! There is hope yet for PC opposition forces...! http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9375313/roger-goodell-defends-washington-redskins-name
  12. Actually, my point went unnoticed because of the volume of this debate. The person Jim Brown obviously is not like many of the other athletes of his generation, and he has a personality problem. If the guy is a wife beater and is proven to be a jerk because of how he acts long after his playing career was over, then people have a right to call it as they see it. Here is my example HOF list of players who don't have the image problem Jim Brown does: Lenny Moore, Baltimore Colts, b. 1933: http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2011-11-23/sports/bs-sp-catching-up-lenny-moore-20111123_1_joe-paterno-lenny-moore-penn-state Willie Davis, Cleveland Browns/Green Bay Packers, b. 1934: http://www.lasportshall.com/inductees/football/willie-davis/ Jim Parker, Baltimore Colts, b. 1934: http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bal-sp.parker19jul19,0,2116898.story Did they have any less of a past of overt racism as Jim Brown did? Did they suffer any less than Jim Brown did? Probably not... he reacted poorly to the bad things that happened to him, and that's a choice he made, not anyone else.
  13. These men don't have the same attitude or are wife beaters, and have sterling legacies: Lenny Moore, Baltimore Colts, b. 1933. Willie Davis, Cleveland Browns/Green Bay Packers, b. 1934. Jim Parker, Baltimore Colts, b. 1934. Jim Brown has an attitude problem and despite what affected him, he's still acting like he's entitled. Experiences don't justify crime, so why should we justify how Jim Brown acts?
  14. That's how bad it can get, that's for sure... but he may be lucky and have it only partially affect his abilities to speak and to prevent further spread of the cancer.
  15. Nobody??? Really??? Come on, step off of it and realize some of us have seen the effects of this kind of cancer... we may not be experts, but for God's sake, we're not totally oblivious nor harbingers of the words of doom... please.
  16. People are going to be very surprised to see him post surgery... my boss's surgery to try and remove the cancer left his face like Roger Ebert's... he had to use a pad to write down longer speech and carried a towel to wipe his drool. It wasn't enough to save him, and I can only hope this surgery is enough to save Jim Kelly.
  17. My boss died from it a couple of months back... still pisses me off we can't cure this after decades of cash, cash and more cash...
  18. Hopefully the Jim Kelly hate posts will stop today for good... I didn't like him as a person when he played, but he has obviously changed over time and has really been hit with two serious blows. The one thing I think about all of this is how in the hell does a healthy person get cancer? Probably from the toxic dumps that killed my Dad...
  19. That sounds fine by me... I'm glad you can be honest about it unlike others who seek to defend their position by masking opinion as fact. Standing down... LOL
  20. Neither is yours... your righteous indignation doesn't fool me, that's for sure. It is a FACT that at least one Native American is offended by the use of "Redskins", but it is an OPINION to state that a majority are offended by it, and an OPINION that anyone non-Native American who is not involved in polling the whole of the race states it as such.
  21. Eric Moulds did the exact same thing for years, and it cost him a Hall of Fame spot... imagine what he would have been with Kelly 10 years prior... a true shame.
  22. Why are you here again then? To not root for the possibility of an OROY or a DROY is not being a Bills fan, that's for sure.
