  1. +1,000,000 This is an excellent point!! The talent level on this team needs tweaking and major improvement at QB and TE. Marrone has shown a heck of a lot in his first year and I'm optimistic with the staff. I'd give him more rope than a Jauron or a Gailey who've done it before coming here. I love historical comparisons... before Noll, the Steelers STUNK for decades.
  2. Well, considering that Tampa Bay, Cleveland, St. Louis, Arizona, Cincinnati, Houston, Jacksonville, Oakland, and more have all made the playoffs since 1999, and for REALISM that slaps you in the face the Saints, Buccaneers, Ravens twice, and the Rams all have won Super Bowls (the pathetic franchises of ages past and a NEW one) some of us actually are fed up by this circus act at QB and want the coaching carousel to stop. We have reasons to gnash teeth as you put it, but to play "realist" by continually refusing to recognize pitiful coaching and play isn't smart either.
  3. How many first round quarterbacks picked in the last 10 years have missed significant time in their first full season (declared starter at the beginning of the season)? Please give me some names, because a mobile QB like Manuel having THREE different periods of time out due to knee injury is leaning bust, which is a shame because he has flashes of brilliance. This is most certainly the worst case scenario if this trend continues in 2014, and we certainly do NOT need an RGIII-like situation here. I am distressed to see him not able to play this Sunday. To add, a lot of players are probably playing hurt, and if they are protecting him, then it just flies in the face of this win the game mentality in a bad season. It says that Manuel is different than everyone else, which I HOPE is not true.
  4. TE - Hoping for Moeaki to be back is not a plan LG - Our running game badly needs it LB - Alonso has to have quality help WR - Stevie's not a #1, tired of his act CB - Gilmore's regression is troubling, depth is nice
  5. Exactly, and Graham was a project when he was drafted anyways. +1. jboyst62, I have seen enough of this bum given chance after chance and blowing all but one. EJ was throwing to him, but was getting VERY little. Now, he barely looks his direction and for good reason. I went to NCSU, and even I have had enough of this guy taking up a roster spot. Marrone has to know that he's not going to play a down for the Bills in 2014, and if he doesn't then maybe we have the wrong HC.
  6. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! We won't do that... I'm being OPTIMISTIC
  7. Marrone is a better coach than any of the other fools we've had here, doing it with less... a rookie QB, Graham tripping over himself, no real TE. Historically we have sucked at Tampa anyways, and this game was not a surprise to me. EDIT: Stevie Johnson is STILL not a #1 receiver, despite the numerous posts of him being great. Replacing him soon will be awesome, despite all attempts at him making himself marketable to fans.
  8. Their defense isn't elite if Marquise Goodwin can make them look silly... their secondary still has problems. This is RICH: HAHAHAHAAAAAAA
  9. I have scoured the 'net for a former NFL owner older than Ralph Wilson, names such as Wellington Mara, Art Rooney, George Halas, Bud Adams, but no dice so far. Anyone have an idea? I find it fascinating after being reminded yesterday with all the Bon Jovi talk.
  10. OK, that's it... here are the straight facts for those who think Carpenter is fake: Rian Lindell, after a couple years as the Seahawks kicker, wasn't THAT great, but we signed him. Many great seasons later, we had to let him go. http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/2489/rian-lindell Now, by circumstance, we pick up Carpenter after our drafted kicker comes up injured. What does he do? Kicks butt LIKE HE HAS SINCE HIS ROOKIE YEAR. Screw the open competition.... sign Carpenter to a multi-year deal, and retain Kopkins for kickoffs IF possible. Looking at Carpenter's numbers should have every Bills fan onboard, point blank. http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/11688/dan-carpenter Carpenter is actually better than Lindell, which is insane but true. Do the right thing, Bills. Extend this guy SOON.
  11. The point is that he never won a playoff game, and ALSO wasn't going to put his team into a position to make the playoffs without a high ranking defense to back him up. It took superhuman effort by the defense to cover for his glaring deficiencies, which explains who he only got two shots in his NFL career. No coincidence!
  12. I would like to know Thurman Thomas and Andre Reed's opinion of Flutie, because I'd bet they have an unfavorable opinion. Comparing RJ to Flutie is like comparing a nuclear waste site to a burn pit... both bad for your health in varying degrees. Here's his playoff game numbers... and so to say he would have been better than RJ in that game is ludicrous. When facing a good team, he had no "magic"... all his magic was a last ditch effort to salvage the game he lost for 3 quarters! L 13-27 11/31, 35.48% completion, 134 yards passing, 1TD, 2 INT L 17-24 21/36, 58.33% completion, 360 yards passing, 1TD, 1 INT
  13. Old enough to remember??? LMAO! That's a good one... Darick Holmes was a bowling ball, but he burned brightly for only a small bit. You made me feel really old... thanks.
  14. Moulson with ZERO shots tonight... Steve Bernier?
  15. A hurt Manuel against the best defense in the NFL?!?! Not only no, but HELL NO... let the man rest up and come in guns blazing against the Jests in 2 weeks.
  16. Thad Lewis loves T.J. Graham and Chandler, that's why... he's just starting to get the Ball to Stevie. It is like Woods is an afterthought...
  17. Not drafting Haloti Ngata... BOY I was way off on that... still embarrassing when I think about it.
  18. To you it's weak.... see ball get ball to me is not creative and boring in fact.
  19. He's also one of the Week 6 Fantasy Madden Ultimate Team cards for this week... he's going for a lot of $$$!!!! http://www.muthead.com/25/players/5078
  20. You see, the whole opposition to this PC movement has a lot to do with stopping the draining all of the uniqueness out of our society like a vampire drains blood, until we become mindless pale robots who have to please everyone who has a gripe or offense. Just because some have given in to pressure does not make it right- in fact, I am willing to state that the reason they did it was because they didn't have the intestinal fortitude to withstand this pressure by a small few- they would rather cave in than do the right thing and stand up. That's not something that should be a trend, but should be stopped dead cold in its tracks before further damage is done. For every revolution there is a counterrevolution, and now the inroads this PC pogrom have made will be reversed as inevitably human beings will state enough is enough and not be broken by those who whittle away at our uniqueness. We're a melting pot, not a pot to be melted down.
  21. I would have given Roy an armored car's worth of $$$$ to bring him to Buffalo, but NOOOO
  22. Read about the history of the Delawares and how the Iroquois stabbed them in the back repeatedly, because the idea that only "lack of respect" is majority on minority is total BS. The whole history of the French and Indian War is littered with these kinds of brutal attacks and swindles. It is human nature to take advantage of the weak when you are strong, no matter what your race is... No, I'd say the small number of people stirring the pot trying in a futile effort to change the Redskins name are ass-holes.
  23. Now it is "trivializing history"? No, the only "trivializing" going on is this blatant PC movement to sanitize our country and the "lack of respect" is for the vast majority who won't be bullied by this PC bulldozer. Sorry, but Daniel Snyder and 60% say we just don't care how much you whine, cry, cajole, or pontificate.
  24. I hope Daniel Snyder owns them for another 30 years just to keep the name... this collusion by the sports media to push this issue has become a national joke. They love to hear themselves talk with this phony outrage...
  25. No, that was Bush, standing there like an idiot, watching Brady throw the ball, out of position.
