  1. It's already here... one day the temperature got up to 104 actual. That's absolutely insane...
  2. I would not say that is true in Buffalo's case... I cannot imagine the state of the local economy if the Bills and Sabres didn't get the stadium deals they were looking for. It's not worth the risk to NOT do it if the market is a smaller one with a very strong fan base.
  3. As one of those transient military members, I'm not staying here... there is little incentive as I mentioned. Definitely a very overrated place- we should have moved to Washington state.
  4. The temperatures were record setting this summer... late October, over 100 degrees at my place. Last year, close to the same temperatures but it cooled down sooner. There is just not enough water to keep things green here... the grass is turning brown due to lack of water. I'm betting eventually it very well could.
  5. As a Bills fan in San Diego, sports fans here are like Dolphins fans in Miami... a few passionate ones sprinkled around. I'm not sticking around this area despite the "beautiful weather" that is turning into Arizona real fast with all the outrageous drought conditions, $3.00/gal gas while everyone else enjoys under $2 a gallon, and other things. I would NOT recommend San Diego to anyone from the rest of the country... soon it's going to be REAL bad. Football is going to be a very minor concern!!!
  6. A new coach still won't help Michigan in one year, and their player talent is not that much improved, so that was a bad analogy. So to say that Michigan is crap this year is pretty accurate.
  7. He's already HAD the time to prove what he can do, and he makes the SAME BLOODY MISTAKES over and over again with no improvement. He's already stopped improving but yet suddenly we have to waste all of our talent on this one guy who was a project to begin with- NOT a franchise QB as you make him out to be, but a project! Tyrod Taylor has been behind Super Bowl winning QB Joe Flacco, has already shown more than EJ has, gives us a better chance to win, and above all has just as much athletic ability as EJ has. You discount Tyrod Taylor as a Brad Johnson or a Doug Flutie when EJ has been acting worse than a Brad Johnson or a Doug Flutie and somehow that's OK because we reached for him in the first round. Man, I cannot wait until EJ gets cut or traded... then maybe this nonsense about him being QB of the future is laid to rest, where it belongs.
  8. That's because EJ sucked and he deserves the criticism. He still hasn't developed like he should with the natural abilities he possesses. Quit trying to play the bias card when most everyone knows that there is a REASON why two coaching staffs have now placed EJ in a non-starting role. What must it take for you EJ apologists to get it?
  9. It's not crazy, because EJ cannot get his stuff together, and he has had opportunities to do so now. I'm so glad that this coaching staff is finally putting to rest this idea that EJ will be that special QB with time to "maximize his abilities". It is CLEAR that he will never get there because he isn't responding to lessons learned, and one preseason game drive against bench defenders isn't going to resuscitate his rep. All "prototype specimens" don't win games! RESULTS, not excuses.
  10. I cannot WAIT until Tyrod Taylor takes over and gets this bum EJ who has wasted all of our time outta here. It's nice to have athleticism with actual lessons sinking in in combination for a change. GO BILLS!!!
  11. Blaming Marrone for everything is short-sighted and completely ignores the fact EJ was a project QB from the beginning we drafted too high.,
  12. EJ is terrible... the new coaches now know it, the GM knows it, the fans MOSTLY know it, so whatever "movie" he's in, all the "camera" time in the world will still make his a below average "actor" with vastly improved "producers". The EJ Experiment is OVER...
  13. This team is not like the Pirates, who got players to fill in the needed gaps in the roster and did it extremely well. Specifically, King Kang is killing is as a bonafide SS for the first time in a LONG time. The Pirates have also made the playoffs in consecutive seasons, unlike the Bills. I don't know where you missed the Soria signing and the other signings, but you should check them out.
  14. Andre Reed was WAY cool, tailgating with him, Leonard Smith and Jonathan Linton... so I just don't get how he is "arrogant and rude". Thurman Thomas bought me a beer hanging out with him, Bruce and Darryl (and Junior Seau and Richard Roundtree)... and the Hawaiian Tropic girls were always popular with them, married or no. Ralph, Marv, Jimbo, all approachable. I have never met a Bill I had a problem with, basically.
  15. Well if that's the case, then we are screwed... we have three bottom feeder QBs that will hurt our already talented offense and defense. This is precisely why we needed a totally legit QB and not another band-aid and cover-up for a terrible pick in Manuel. They should have swallowed their pride and gotten a QB worthy of this team.
  16. The best move by far was McCoy for Alonso... what a steal and THEN on top of it look at what Murray got paid... awesome deal!!!! The worst move was not grabbing an OLman after talking about not being able to land one in FA. We need another lineman not on the scrap heap.
  17. I met her back in 1999... exactly what I'd expect for any Bills fan... energetic, fun, boisterous, full of spirit.
  18. Goodwin is a lot like Roscoe Parrish... pretty damn good when he plays and is healthy. It's a shame he hasn't been able to be out there all the time, because we need him. He should NEVER be compared to T.J. Graham... I consider that to be an insult to Goodwin. Graham was a bum.
  19. They are choosing a HUGE FERRIS WHEEL over a new stadium. That's how stupid they are here!!! http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2015/feb/10/port-ferris-tower-waterfront/
  20. For the people who can't stand Sully, you guys sure litter TBD with posts whining about him... glad someone at least isn't afraid to not throw out softballs. Rex just came from NYC... so I'm pretty sure he's not very concerned about reporters. Geez....
  21. AMEN... gets old. Pretty soon the "Support EJ" threads will be back up again in full force. *GAG*
  22. You're welcome. Here's the article: http://www.stampedeblue.com/2013/8/6/4594120/former-colts-first-round-bust-jerry-hughes-suggests-he-didnt-have-a "Even on special teams - an area of the game that is as basic as it gets - Hughes was a failure. In a rush-friendly 4-3 defensive scheme that incorporated "Tampa-2" principles by keeping things simple in terms of reads and rush lanes, Hughes was equally worthless. When the Colts dumped Jim Caldwell, hired Chuck Pagano, and switched everything around to a base 3-4 scheme, shifting Hughes to outside linebacker as opposed to defensive end, he still struggled."
  23. Think about it... $16 million under the cap, our defense exchanges Hughes for Alonso, and we lose Spiller. We can pick at the Jets FAs... I am salivating at the opportunity we have to improve our team and to build on our defense WITH Schwartz as DC!!! This is absolutely great!
  24. Jason Peters was garbage and still is... AND he was hurt in 2012, so it isn't CONSECUTIVE years. Screw that dude...
