  1. Added bonus: He doesn't need stolen signs to be great!
  2. Please no Hochuli spawn, either!!! He is an overofficious jerk!
  3. Here is something to put all of this old talk into perspective... is this tragic irony? 😢
  4. I have no idea... I was deployed with two but never stationed on one! I haven't heard that in FOREVER... I had completely forgotten.
  5. I am, since 1999, but the Internet Archive doesn't go back that far... my first appearance in the archive under by first name "Rabid Bills Fan in VA" back in 2001! I was stationed in Virginia Beach back then at Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base, but drove to Oceana for the Bills Backers bar there... that was BEFORE A.J. Gators became dominant. https://web.archive.org/web/20010720073150/http://www.stadiumwall.com:80/
  6. Jerome Bettis, The Bus! What a great dude, just has a positive attitude about life and really is a role model for kids out there. Wish he had stayed with the Rams though LOL
  7. Marvin Harrison Jr. had a pathetic Week 1 and a monster Week 2. We're not here to get players big stats, we are here to WIN and if it means throwing to 6 different players and missing one a game then OHH WELL.
  8. I love that story!!! Back in the day I guess they didn't use rock salt or litter for icy patches?
  9. I was so fortunate to meet him twice... once at the Winter Meetings in Charlotte, NC and the second time after the Bills/Jets night game in 1999. He was walking down the concourse as I came out of the stands. I WAS SO EXCITED!!!! It was a great chance meeting and seeing the glee on his face was priceless!
  10. We have two major anniversaries coming up for the Buffalo Bills, this year being the 60th anniversary of the Buffalo Bills's first championship, won on the 26th of December, 1964 at War Memorial Stadium, or rather what we call it, The Rockpile, by the final score of 20-7. I think it would be not only be quite an accomplishment to win a Super Bowl championship but to also do it while some of the members of that team are still with us. For those who know about our storied history in the American Football League and some who actually went to games at The Rockpile, to see those players celebrate with all of us would be a very emotional event. These are the men who gave us our first championship that are still with us: Wray Carlton Willie Ross Bobby Smith Glenn Bass Ed Rutkowski Stew Barber George Flint Billy Shaw Ron McDole Butch Byrd Hagood Clarke Oliver Dobbins Booker Edgerson Eugene Sykes Pete Gogolak Paul Maguire GO BILLS!
  11. Thank you again! I lost my father in 2000 before that deployment on the TRUMAN. The last time I saw him he was in a VA Hospital bed in Statesville, NC and I learned it from my father. Thank God he never got to see what happened after he died and what was essentially our Pearl Harbor. I spent my entire Chief Petty Officer season always thinking of him and how I so wish he could have been there to see me pinned with anchors but I have to have faith he was in spirit.
  12. Thank you! After 20 years I tend to think more about who I served alongside and all of the people I met during that time. I just wish people got the opportunities I had to see the world and work alongside selfless professionals who band together to try and make the world a better place.
  13. That's brutal... how is his health now? Any serious effects from that day? It's also hard for people to fathom how much toxicity was in the air on that day. I hope that he is healthy and doing well.
  14. I was in third year in the Navy and on the USS WASP when it happened. I had just returned from my first deployment on the USS HARRY S. TRUMAN and life was never the same again for us in the military, that's for sure. In 2003 when Enduring Freedom kicked off in Iraq I was deployed on the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT and after ended up in East Africa for anti terror ops and civil affairs work. I can't imagine how much suffering and death in sum total this one day inflicted upon our nation and the world. Working in Haiti for the earthquake relief in 2010, nobody can really understand how terrible it is to see dead bodies all over the place, buildings destroyed, stretchers everywhere with hurt or exposed people, chaos, the smells... most people can't handle those conditions and I still can't 14 years later fully deal with those memories.
  15. Sounds like what the pundits (and the bookies) did about the Jets... one minute it's SUPER BOWL CONTENDERS and DIVISION WINNERS and now it's CAN THEY MAKE THE PLAYOFFS? Smart fans recognize that you can't read into a team fully after the preseason or even after a couple of early regular season games. I fully expect we will learn a lot more about this team over the next month because of the schedule we play.
  16. He never got the chance to succeed with QBs like Losman and Edwards... he was not used properly and it showed, hence why I mentioned him. Are you REALLY saying that he was the mediocre player when he was surrounded by piss poor QB play and coached by Dick Jauron? He looked really good with Fitzy at QB UNTIL HE GOT HURT. Cut him some slack.
  17. Jeff Wilson, Jr. isn't a scrub, so still they aren't really hurting THAT much at the position though....
  18. I would like to put in a plug for Roscoe Parrish for a WR who could have been a really good one but along with his career ending injuries was a victim of poor management and coaching. I was always so sad to see him stuck with terrible QBs and then FINALLY when we get a better one he got injured twice and was never the same. We utterly WASTED his talent and Tre White's injuries reminded me of what happened to him.
  19. That's completely fair, but the Phishy defense isn't as good as it used to be and you know how Josh has used and abused Ramsey throughout their games. My concern is being able to stop their running game because I think the Achane injury report is some sort of fake out by McDaniel and I think he will definitely start.
  20. I was not happy with their mischaracterization of our defense, which held Murray to just 3 points in the second half, and the idea that Josh has to put the team on his back and play Superman... they obviously ignored the effectiveness of our run game with balance and the fact that Josh makes the decision to take off and run, not Brady as a game plan.
  21. Colin Cowherd DOES NOT HAVE THE BILLS IN HIS TOP TEN in his Herd Hierarchy. This is probably the worst I have seen his take on the Bills in the Josh era... what is he ON? Is Booger J-Mac Jests Fan really affecting his brain?
  22. Believe me, the pool of people who are compassionate is shrinking and shrinking, and here you won't find much of it unfortunately.
  23. So you mean the progressions where Marvin was WIDE OPEN for a touchdown and he didn't even bother to? Yeah, REAL smart making your high first round pick a third or fourth option. Know who else did that? JOHN RAUCH with O.J. and he got fired.
  24. I am stunned that Kyler made such a ridiculous statement. The coach said that it was because of the Bills defense that Marvin Harrison, Jr. didn't have but 3 targets, but Kyler of course says no, that's not the case, directly contradicting his own coach. Looney tunes! "“I wouldn’t say (the Bills) were taking him away,” the signal caller added when talking about Harrison’s lack of production. “As a quarterback going through your reads, sometimes the ball goes to him. It’s not my job. Obviously, I have a sense and a feel for the guys when they aren’t getting the ball and when they are getting the ball, but I leave that up to (offensive coordinator Drew Petzing). He tells me, ‘Don’t worry about that type of stuff. Just keep playing your game and get the ball where it’s supposed to go.'”" https://arizonasports.com/story/3557494/marvin-harrison-jr-nonfactor-bills/
  25. Bills will rough Tua Far worse than the crooked cop Grier gets fired too
