If you notice, the refs seem to throw more flags on 3rd down on plays of consequence. It happened to us and other teams this past weekend... the Giants and Bears in particular.
Tyrod has already proven to be far beyond help. I am pretty sure that is Peterman was given a chance to start we could REALLY see what percentage of our problems Dennison REALLY is responsible for.
Jerry Sullivan, is that you? You sound an awful lot like him in this post.
The immediate impact that he has made on our defense has been a tremendously positive change. We may have taken some hits on offense, but the trend is upwards.
This team needs help in certain areas and will get it. Dareus has been and will continue to be a player that just will not change, and eventually his abhorrent salary cap number will go bye bye and we can pay offensive players with that cash.
The Bears put Cohen in WAY too much and Howard can't get rolling... he started off with runs of 12 and 5 yards, they put Cohen in, he sucks, and Howard back in and don't run the ball.
Ugh.
Whaley got so much crap BECAUSE HIS DRAFTS WERE HORRID.
Stupid moves by vastly improving our defense? Nonsense. As others have said, revisit next year after the draft. Jeez.
We MUST be 1-4 or 0-5... HAVE TO BE.. right?
I am confused.
No, not really... this is a lot of bull**** because even if we had better receivers, Tyrod is a MAJOR liability. Our core is our stellar defense and we build through the draft to improve our offense.
Don't like it? Ohh well. Suck it up,buttercup.
So Sammy telling the truth in his own words "is a bunch of BS"?
"Every player who has ever played the game wants to do well and have stats and help team win." So Marcell Dareus believes this?
Good luck with that thinking.
You obviously haven't been a Bills fan for a long time, because Green Lightning has it absolutely right. More often than not, any success we have found early is washed away and we are left shaking our heads.
We wouldn't still BE HERE is weren't diehard fans, so come now... no one is a bandwagon fan of a team who hasn't made the playoffs in umpteen years.
When E.J. Gaines is clearly outperforming Sammy at their respective positions and our defense is winning big games- plural- this is not a great counterpoint.
The 1999 Bills team... inconsistent QB play, a really solid defensive minded coach, and an awesome defense that just made play after play after play.
Sure the 1999 Bills had a couple of Hall of Famers, but this team very well could have a couple if McDermott is the real deal. We shall see.
