I'm a firm believer in giving people chances to display their brilliance... he will get a shot and I'm all for that. -

I think it's great #32 is being given out again, to help to wipe a little of the OJ BS away. However... Why to a run of the mill FA? Because he asked? That's not what I expected at all. -

The Great Seer of Bills Future sez: In jury Settlement. I bet he doesn't play a down for us. I'm not sour about it, just bummed it happened AGAIN. -
She was one of the first Bills fans I ever talked regularly to on TBD in the year that TBD first began when I was stationed in Virginia Beach from 1999-2003, and it makes me feel old. It's one thing that you are never prepared for when you are younger, losing so many people from when you were younger. Damn. RIP... Rabid remembers, Sue.

It's Fox... they won't deal with the truth... they would rather perpetuate fiction. Nothing has changed! -
PanchoBilla enters Hospice (Has now passed away)
EasternOHBillsFan replied to mead107's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I couldn't even post this story on my Facebook page because it involves cancer. My mother-in-law has stage 4 lung cancer that metastasized and she's housebound and has been in the hospital for Mother's Day. I lost my grandfather to brain cancer before they could do much in 1983... only higher dose chemo at that time. I lost my boss to the same cancer that Jimbo has, but he didn't go and get it treated and he literally worked himself to death. I had to read his messages on a notepad because he couldn't speak anymore. I was angry then. I f**king HATE cancer. HATE IT. Angry AGAIN. I read the tweet from this morning and then I thought about how I read Pancho Billa was going to hospice and I knew it was going to be like this. I come on here to TSW as I always have for 20 years and it's all opinions and BS and some arguments, but this is different and this story hurts badly. We're all human beings and it's just not fair some of us have to suffer like this and it doesn't seem fair. This 2019 Buffalo Bills season is for you, Ezra. We all love you and through tears in my eyes I wish you peace and your family peace. GO BILLS, BROTHER... you got your wings. !@#@. -
So.... if there are a lot of posts complaining about Tasker, then MAYBE just maybe he isn't the broadcasting god you make him out to be? Everyone has a right to their opinion, and it doesn't make yours right and theirs wrong just because people post a lot about him. The way I see it, it follows the old adage if one person tells you you're drunk, and you feel fine, ignore him. If ten people tell you you're drunk, go lie down.

I wouldn't even give him a look... it seems as if he hasn't hit rock bottom yet as the 2018 arrest proves. Sometimes addicts are given too many chances and prolongs their problem. He obviously still thinks his athletic ability may get him yet another chance, but if he was signed, unfortunately his salary might fuel another binge. He needs to find regular employment and continue his road to recovery. Unfortunately, I was one of those who gave my guy multiple chances to sober up because he was an excellent technician. Unfortunately, he still had not hit rock bottom until he was kicked out of the Navy. That was his rock bottom and he unfortunately needed to hit it and be humbled... and I don't think Zeke has hit his yet.

“Still Miles Away” -Colin Cowherd
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So, just to chime in here... In 1985, the Bills were HORRIBLE just like last season... disgusting offense that couldn't produce worth a crap. In 1986, the Bills acquired Kent Hull and Will Wolford with starter Jim Ritcher. Jim Kelly took the helm at QB! In 1987, the Bills added Howard Ballard to make Wolford, Hull, Ritcher and Ballard four skilled offensive linemen. I'm not saying that we are going to get that soon, but it's been done before. There is a lot more hope out there!!! GO BILLS!!! -
When the Bills brought in Duke, signed Beasley and Brown, AND signed David Sills, that sealed Zay Jones's fate. Unless Zay got incredibly better as a special teams player, he's gone. Robert Foster has a better chance to make the final cut than Zay. CAVEAT: Without season anding injuries, of course. *knock on all sorts of wood*

Dwayne Haskins’ father is a strange dude
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Do Wyoming quarterbacks have a history of success in the NFL? I don't think you can string a bunch of drafted players across decades and say definitively Haskins will fail. This is the full list of U of M QBs drafted in the NFL: 1941 1 10 10 Redskins Forest Evashevski QB 1943 3 4 19 Dodgers George Ceithaml QB 1946 8 3 63 Steelers Joseph Ponsetto QB 1947 21 9 194 Giants Joseph Ponsetto QB 1948 15 2 127 Lions Pete Elliott QB 1955 26 11 312 Lions Duncan McDonald QB 1958 5 5 54 Redskins Jim Van Pelt QB 1959 8 3 87 Browns Bob Ptacek QB 1965 3 5 33 Giants Bob Timberlake QB 1971 6 2 132 Saints Don Moorhead QB 1974 15 9 373 Saints Larry Gipa QB 1979 5 22 132 Broncos Rick Leach QB 1987 1 26 26 Bears Jim Harbaugh QB 1993 8 23 219 49ers Elvis Grbac QB 1995 2 13 45 Bills Todd Collins QB 1998 3 30 91 Broncos Brian Griese QB 2000 6 33 199 Patriots Tom Brady QB 2003 6 19 192 Texans Drew Henson QB 2004 7 1 202 Cardinals John Navarre QB 2008 2 26 57 Dolphins Chad Henne QB 2016 6 16 191 Lions Jake Rudock QB -
What was the rank of the offense again under Whaley during that golden ONE season our defense was top 5? So how did we get stuck with also ran QBs instead of finding a franchise QB like we did with the current management team? I'm agreeing with idiot.

Chase Winovich - DE...2nd Round
EasternOHBillsFan replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Loseovich??? HAHAHAHAHAHA Nobody from that vastly overrated TTUN defense should be drafted by the Bills. -
You KNOW the BROWNS do... Let them mark us down as a W. I don't care if we play them in Cleveland or wherever... that overhyped team filled with over the top personalities cannot stand. When they signed OBJ, they screwed themselves by adding volatility. As soon as the Browns start struggling, it will be a sh** show there. If the Jets beat them early... we may just be there to clean up after the developing mess with a win!

Confirmed the Jets dates... Week 1 and Week 17 as the Jets schedule leaked, so that's legit. -

That would be about as sick as your grammar. ? -
When Cam had Manhertz and Funchess instead of Olson and Steve Smith, it made a HUGE difference. Like any franchise QB, you can't make the players around you better if they aren't good enough to be 1st on the depth chart. The Panthers have not been able to replace their talent well around Cam. Fortunately the Bills are moving in the opposite direction, forwards instead of backwards.
-
That's what separates Allen from the other QBs of his class... his ability and experience in bad weather. Earning home games in the playoffs is our next step, not just making the playoffs. Imagine if you will a game ala our game against the Dolphins in January of 1991, Marino vs. Kelly. Imagine now in the future Jets at Bills, Darnold vs. Allen. I can easily see it.
-
My whole entire opinion of Josh Allen is this: -A great community guy that fits a smaller city that loves Rocky-esque heroes -Jim Kelly talent and confidence without the early arrogance -Put up really solid rookie numbers with a team that had little offensive talent -He's been a cold weather quarterback for years, and if we get opponents in Buffalo in December as the talent improves, they are toast

Josh Allen rookie cards - is anyone else All-En?
EasternOHBillsFan replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is absolutely NO money in stamp collecting unless you shell out big money, but I really enjoy it even though the ones I have are worth very, very little. I agree with this. I still have my entire Sabres collection, from Perreault's rookie to Hasek era cards. I stopped buying Sabres cards when the market got stupid. Anyone else got a Real Cloutier Sabres card? Diehards, where ya at? LMAO -

EasternOHBillsFan replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, because when the bottom fell out of card collecting, I was done with any newer cards. It used to be that you could go to a card shop and occasionally get awesome inserts... when you did, it was so much fun and they were valuable. When the number of card series mushroomed, what once was a fun hobby turned into a commercial nightmare. The ONLY redeeming aspect left of card collecting are old cards, because they are scarce and retain their value. That's where my focus has been since. Nothing can replace a 1955 Clemente, 1970-71 Perreault or a 1960 Kemp. The day I saw my first Jack Kemp rookie card, right next to the rookie Joe Namath card, I remember fondly.
