Patriots cut Russell Bodine
EasternOHBillsFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If he knew a bit more than we do, then he wouldn't have traded a 6th round pick for that bum! Face it, the days of Belichick picking up nuggets are gone. His decision making has been suspect for a while now, and we just haven't seen the end result of it yet... it just might be this year. -
I seen youse is tanking

This has got to be satire... -
You would think, but until the Jets get stable management and a coach that is better than Gase, I'm putting the all stop on my Allen/Darnold challenging for the AFC East. Their mismanagement has left them very vulnerable on offensive line, making the signing of LeVeon Bell a complete waste of money. I have no faith in Gase to make it a competitive battle... so Josh Allen has a prime opportunity to make the Bills dominant while Darnold is hampered.

I was there back in 2005-2008 while I was in the Navy, so things probably have changed a LOT over the years. Empire Pizza, and Captain Scott's I miss a LOT. I forgot the name of the Bills bar that used to be there... it was near the Pfizer HQ.

Slander? OK, so did you actually watch games with them at QB? EJ basically was a project QB who utterly failed to impress (NOTE that Josh Allen LOOKS like a franchise QB with a bad team as a rookie, so no "they threw him to the wolves" nonsense) and his career fizzled when he went elsewhere, so we weren't wrong as labeling him a bust. If he was so damn good, like Tyrod, he would have stuck around as a starter. So, I'm more than grown, man. When you are the worst Bills QB of all time, you are going to get a lot of negative posts. Deal with it. Like Perry Tuttle, Walt Patulski and other major busts, Bills fans have every right to be negative after such a poor performance and then Allen comes in and suddenly we're rolling.

We loved it in Groton! Close to some of the best food joints we've been to, close to Providence, two casinos, ferry to LI, and more. Sure it cost more to live there, but there are so many benefits. It helps to be a veteran, but even if I wasn't it still would be a top place to move back to.

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Let the Games Begin
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thank you as ALWAYS for your outstanding assessments!!! I read every single one even though I don't comment much. Just think this way... Our team was handicapped by dead weight in salary and we couldn't do much about it. Our team last year had a rookie start who had the worst stat line in NFL history for a QB. Our team started a franchise rookie QB who went into Minnesota and shocked the Vikings, and showed why he was a top pick before his apparent victory in Houston was blown by the former.. Our team brought on a QB who hadn't played a game in months and months... and destroyed the Jets in his start. Our team had a worthless TE who faded fast, an offensive line that resembled swiss cheese with such starters as Ducasse and Bodine, and receivers that were patch repair guys. Our team had our QB as our leading rusher because the offensive line couldn't support a true running game and the lost a step Shady hurt worse. OUR TEAM STILL GOT SIX WINS. That's gotta count for something. The team with all of those issues managed to still win six, and yet while true we ARE 0-0, we have every right to be optimistic because after many upgrades, this team has proven that it can win and all we need is the consistency. GO BILLS!!! #BillsMafia -
Remember the acquisition of Lawyer Milloy, fellow old Bills Backers? We kicked the crap out of the Cheatriots 31-0. I have always wondered if Malloy gave the Bills a huge advantage, because the second game they returned the favor and creamed us. It matters... has to. My only question for this entire season (besides Zay) is why trade EVER with the Cheatriots? LOL

Stamford is in the more populated part of CT... that's bizarre! I used to live in Groton, CT on the other side of the state and the Bills bar I used to go to is closed now I guess. No luck in New York?

Anyone who schedules their league draft before the final preseason game is only asking for problems like this. We had ours tonight because I know better. Drafting too early is dumb, IMHO.

Florio: Texans "New Look No GM" Grades an "F"

Who cannot stay healthy. Fantasy football players know this VERY well... Fuller is a walking injury like Roscoe Parrish and Coutee also got injured and also inconsistent. They need consistency, but the price for that is WAAAAAAAAY too damn high. Insane. -
Punter options If Bojorquez is cut
EasternOHBillsFan replied to muppy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So who was the holder for Hauschka, who had his worst season in a few years last year? Bojorquez, until he was lost for the season in October and he only missed one FG, and then after his FG% made went to crap with Darr. Makes sense to me... but is it the holder or the kicker? Time will tell I guess. -

Mutt. I'm all about Colquitt as a replacement. Bridge the position with a veteran. -

Don't forget about the Ditka trade in New Orleans... that one was for Ricky Williams of all players!!! I think that was the worst of all time. -
Sunday 9/1 Cut /Waiver Update thread
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When in doubt, sign a Colquitt as your punter.... hell, he was a Pro Bowl alternate and won a Super Bowl. It's a perfect fit until we can find someone down the road. Let's grab him, Buffalo!!! -
No never the first, and if he does not get cut I will be VERY happy... just thought he'd be the odd man out but happy to see him in so far!

Jordan Mills Released by Miami
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is the same exact team that traded for Rosen, who couldn't even beat our Fitzmagic for the starting job! I would place ZERO stock in the assessment abilities of the Dolphins staff or management!
