5 Most hated Dolphins of all-Time
FFiB64 replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Goodness, don't we miss those rivalry days. What a healthy, fierce battle every years twice - and sometimes in the playoffs too. The days when the Pats and Jets were the doormats of the AFC East. For what it;s worth, my list of the 5 most hated Bills players. I may want to say though that the hate is limited to playing only because each and everyone of them were class acts and fair players. 1) Jim Kelly 2) Bruce Smith 3) Steven Tasker 4) Thurman Thomas (when he was a Bill) 5) Andre Reed 6) Don Beebe Oops that's 6. One of the great plays by Beebe was that Superbowl strip. He jumped up on my most hated/loved Bills list rather quickly. I remember that play so vividly. -
If you think you hate the Patriots now, listen to this...

If I would have known that I certainly would have done that. I personally did not go through that site as I bought the book a couple months ago. But I do agree with you. Therefore: Bills fans! Support a local business and buy the book through here: http://www.trendingbuffalo.com/spygate-author-bryan-oleary/ -

If you think you hate the Patriots now, listen to this...

I may have to chime in as a Dolphins fan. Some might remember me from way back on the Stadiumwall (6pack still around?). I am not a conspiracy theorist. But this book is a must read. The author has done a tremendous job not just throwing out some conspiracy stuff but has accumulated stunning statistics and facts which has not been made public. And in the book it was also noted that the Patriots were not caught cheating once but twice. To those who question the book (without reading it) because the NFL has not done a bigger deal out of it: There are not many people involved. I doubt that all the owners actually know to what extend the Patriots cheated as the evidence was destroyed IN Foxboro. It never made to NFL HQs and not even Goodell was interested in the tapes and punished the Pats a minimal fine without having seen the tapes but having ordered the destruction of the tapes. Just the word to the owners that any big scandal would financially destroy the league and maybe having the end result that the anti-trust legislation could be removed was enough for the owners to keep it under wraps. This book does not just examine the cheating by the Patriots some 10 years ago or in 2007 but clearly showed that the cheating continues. Maybe not as much anymore as teams have put safe guards in place but the Patriots do still find ways. I think besides the absolute stunning statistics and interviews analyzing some of the stats (i.e. beating the spread) there is much more in this book. - The Brady salary story makes you wonder. - Manning's admission that they go outside the locker room in Foxboro when discussing an offensive game plan - the initial admission by Flutie that he heard the play calls in the QBs helmet beyond the 15 second cut off (up to the moment of the snap) - the fact that players and coaches don't matter with the Patriots, pointing out that most coaches and players outside the Patriots organization were unsuccessful yet the Patriots never missed a beat. They didn't even needed DCs or OCs. ...and much much more. No, the author does not accuse every player whoever played with the Patriots. Most players don't even know. This cheating is really rather tight and only in small circles going on. I wish that this book is being read by every NFL fan or that the media would actually engage in this discussion. I saw one interview on TV where an investigative journalist was asked why nobody in the media would read the book and discuss it. The answer spoke volumes. That guy said that most have read it but nobody wants to touch it because nobody can really refute it. So they want to silence it to death. The less it is being talked about, the less fans will know about, the less damage it could do. He called a 'silent death'. This is an issue which will never be solved by the NFL. It would be counter productive for them to actually go public on that. It will not be solved by the media because, while paying top dollars for broadcast rights, they are making billions of dollars of revenue as well. This is an issue if the fans would like to be cheated. Because essentially nobody but the fans are getting cheated. Most owners don't care because they still pull in huge revenues. Same with the NFL. They could lose everything though if this issue would make headlines. As they say: to big to fail. The only ones who are cheated are the fans. And it is not just an AFC East thing or some jealousy on my end. Heck the Bills had a nice Superbowl participation run in the 90s. And while I was jealous the Bills simply earned it. That Bills team was a classy team and a good team. It was rivalry I loved. But when a team is build for a dynasty on cheating. Oh no. The NFL is not even set up for any kind of dynasty. The entire league set up is supposed to be all about parity. Bottom line: read the book and form your opinion. You will walk away from that book with a completely different state of mind. I read it because I was curious. Before I started reading I had a negative mind set. But as I was reading and with every page I changed. Oh yeah. Good luck on Sunday. to a fair game, no injuries and an entertaining game. -
I don't look so much at the score but rather how a team loses and when and how it affects a team. The worst loss for the Bills I would say was the SB loss to the Giants. Losing a Superbowl by a FG with time running out or missing a manageable FG with time running out are the worst losses you can have. The Bills at that time were close to a dream team but this loss set the stage for the other three Superbowl losses. I am absolutely positive if they would have beaten the Giants they also would have taken the other 3 Superbowls. It could have been a dynasty.

How will Bills finish last 3 games of the season?
FFiB64 replied to TAinLack.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You'd be laughing maybe but I think they will go 1-2 or 2-1 and I hope for a 3-0 finish. They will beat the Phins. I am assuming the Fins will be drained and flat - coach gone, starting QB probably out, and hey, Losman will probably start. I doubt I have to explain to Bills fans what that means. I hope for the Bills to kill the Broncos. I am sick and tired of hearing Tebow here and Tebow there. And since I don't like the Pats: please beat them too. -
Are you serious? What's there to analyze? I'll analyze: Two bottom dwellers with inept offenses and mistake-proned defenses meet this Sunday in Buffalo. Besides the question whose offense or defense makes more mistakes we have the problem of keeping the audience awake through a 2-0 overtime thriller. Just don't ask me who gets the sack. Thank you for welcoming me back. I never root to lose. There is never a guarantee in a QB as a top pick. Too many came out with high accolades but failed. The NFL is a whole different ball game. I think the "suck for luck" pinheads are gone. They joined the "I love Henne" group and formed the "RGIII or Barkley - we want" gang. Thanks for the welcome back. Yeah, but I made it a rule not to let it affect me anymore. Life is so short, so sweet. No need to get all banged up over football.

Make up a rumor about J.P Losman
FFiB64 replied to SageAgainstTheMachine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
JP Losman will make the ProBowl and is a future Hall Of Famer. A true franchise QB. He isn't? OK. That was three rumors. -
Oh yes, I remember. It was a healthy rivalry with great players on both sides. Sure some fans overdid it on both sides but I, and other fellow Phins fans got along well with da' Bills fans (and the pother way around). That's why I always felt at home here. I certainly miss the good old days which were just a decade ago. Time flies by. Florida is just a diverse community. How many true Floridians do you really get to meet? You know: natives. Most people who move down here don't throw their allegiance to their favorite team into the dumpster just because they move. It never bothered me though. I hate the Finheaven board, always did. The only boards I used to frequent was TSW and a very tiny little Dolphins board. Most boards are trolled. Knock, knock. You got that right. But maybe we'll heave ourselves back up together....in like 20 years.

Actually it's the latter. I don't have much faith in our ownership. He thinks with some orange carpet crap and Jay-Lo he can sell tickets. NOT!!!! I really like to tell him that he actually has to put a product on the field. Thanks for the welcome back. Well you won't beat 1-15 from a few years ago. Now that sucks. Both team basically suck. Our play off run in 2008 was a fluke. So we are suckers for years now. Was just wondering if he still owns the site. Search the members? Hey, I am a Dolphins fan. I can't multitask. Someone remembers me.....!!!!!! Thanks for the welcome back Dennis. It was always fun in the past - Bills vs Dolphins. Though about a decade ago this site changed my attitude a little bit. I had lots of fun here. Bills/Fins rivalry was great - throughout the 90s. I shared many beers and tailgated with Bills fans while enjoying this rivalry. That Denver game was a marketing flop. Like many other flops. A few years back we had 25,000 Eagles fans at one of our home games (nope not the last game. I don't even think there were 25,000 people in the stadium period. ) and the stadium crew starting playing the Rocky Theme!!??? The Fins are in disarray for a good decade now and no change on the horizon. No need to wish us good luck. Let's you off the hook.

Does anybody still remember me? Your old Dolfan friend is back. Those who don't know me: I was a member when the Stadiumwall was in its early stages (late 90s). I believe it was a software called Webbbs. Name FinFanInBoca. Then the software changed, I forgot my password and I called myself FFiB. Most called me that anyways except CableLady. She called me Boca. I just wanted to join my old friends in misery. It was always a great board and great people. Just a little hello to all those who still remember me. If that post does not belong here, feel free to move it. Speaking of moving: SDS still around?
