Final TD hold against Hughes
st pete gogolak replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even if that wasn't holding (which is clearly was), shouldn't it have been called as a make-up call for the phantom PI call on Robey? I thought the make-up call was one of the bed-rock principals of NFL referee-ing. -
I guarantee the Bills will not lose...
st pete gogolak replied to KingRex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm always a little bit surprised that whenever there is a discussion of the worst head coach in the history of the NFL, Harvey Johnson's name is not at least mentioned. In two interim gigs as Bills' head coach, Johnson compiled a stunning 2-23-1 record, a winning percentage of 8%. Amazingly, one of the two wins was over the Joe Namath led New York Jets, who went on to win the Super Bowl that year. -
[closed]Start EJ against Miami
st pete gogolak replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is sarcasm, right? Right? If it isn't, only question is whether you watched, you know, the game yesterday? I wanted him to succeed as much as any Bills' fan but the guy is hilariously inaccurate for an NFL QB, doesn't process quickly enough, etc. etc. etc. -
EJ Maneul stinks out loud.
st pete gogolak replied to ScrewyLouie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His ceiling, repeat CEILING, is capable back-up quarterback if he exercises better ball control. No accuracy, processes information too slow = zero chance of ever being a starting NFL QB. -
First and goal. Chance to get out to a good start. Wildcat - WILDCAT!! - Wood hikes the ball and hits Woods in the helmet. We're lucky to recover. Second and goal. Pass to Gragg who catches it standing with two feet a yard out of bounds! Even the announcers start laughing. Third and goal. Manuel misses a wide open Gragg in the end zone by about 10 yards. That, my friends, is a microcosm of this team.

Not that anyone needs to be reminded but in the LAST FOUR YEARS, we have used two #1's, a #2, two #3's and a #4 on wide-outs. That's SIX high draft picks in four years. What do we have to show for it? One guy's already gone. One guy simply cannot stay on the field. One guy has totally disappeared. And the "star" of the bunch always seems to be nicked up or out. What a freaking debacle.

TNF matchup of Hasselbeck v Mallett
st pete gogolak replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How about the chop block call (I believe on the Texans). The block was clearly, clearly above the waist. The flag comes in from around 20 yards away. Complete replay of the call on Incognito. -
When Peyton Manning was a free agent, I thought San Francisco was absolutely the perfect fit for him - great defense, strong running game, some decent weapons, let Alex Smith go in FA and let Kapernick sit for a couple of years behind Peyton. I am guessing that Peyton would have won one or two Super Bowls and maybe all the talk about Brady being GOAT wouldn't be as loud. But, of course, I guess that there would have been no way that Peyton and Harbaugh co-exist so it was not to be, cherie.

Would You Rather - Fitzpatrick or Cassel?
st pete gogolak replied to BBills14's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No Coke. Pepsi. -
Is this a poll on the worst draft class of all-time? I'll stick with 2000. Erik Flowers, Tavares Tillman, Corey Moore. Lief Larson instead of Brady on a quarterback needy team is just icing on the cake. Damn you John Butler!

What's all this talk about a #2 receiver need?

What now? (Now that McCown is off the table)
st pete gogolak replied to Uffalo Ills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How many posters to this board discount Foles and Sanchez because "Chip Kelly runs a quarterback friendly offense". Hey, here's a thought. Why don't we incorporate a "QB friendly offense" that will let us win without a Brady or Manning at QB? -
The all Sam Bradford thread
st pete gogolak replied to NextYearGuys's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is there any - I mean ANY - indication that the Rams are going to make him available via trade or that they will release him? If not, this is all just blowing smoke. -

Anyone know if this game is on YouTube or any other streaming source. Twenty three years later, I'd still love to watch this game!!! -

Mike Glennon generating buzz as Bucs trade candidate
st pete gogolak replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Really funny title to the thread. I live in St. Petersburg FL and I can assure you, Mike Glennon created no buzz whatsoever when he was actually playing football for the Bucs. -
RIP Earthquake Enyart
st pete gogolak replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry to hear the news. This is more about how the game has evolved rather than any ineptitude on the Bills' part but you've just used the #1 overall pick on maybe the greatest running back to ever come out of college football. You have the first pick in the second round (back then, only 26 teams so it's the equivalent of another first round pick today). What do you do? Pick another running back of course! By the way, for all you 20/20 hindsight folks, Ted (the "Mad Stork") Hendricks was selected by the Colts a couple of picks later. -
MMQB: Bills 2015 Draft projections (plus AFC east)
st pete gogolak replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My guess is that our most pressing needs (including TE) will be addressed in free agency. We'll have the luxury of picking a RB and developmental QB early in the draft. -
There have been persistent rumors on this board that Sam Bradford, Eli Manning, Jay Cutler, RGIII and Colin Kaepernick (am I missing anyone?) may be available this offseason for various reasons. I don't see it. Why would any team give up a viable veteran (although not perfect) QB without an obvious replacement in the wings? I can kind of see Bradford because of the cap hit but even there why would St. Louis do that without an obvious candidate to take his place? This is a serious question.
