How much is too much? Should the NFL put a limit on the amount of an owner's profits?

Torrel Troup because he was picked one spot ahead of a Hall of Famer at a position of desperate need and because NE had so little respect for our front office that they didn't even bother to try to move ahead of us and because I can't think of one - ONE! - play he made during his pathetically short career with the Bills.

I remember Al Edwards for one play and one play only. After the Giants had taken the lead back late in Super Bowl XXV, Edwards dropped a third-down pass which resulted in a punt and ultimately Norwood's miss. If he had caught it, who knows? Yes, it would have been nice to have Beebe for that game but you know who was sitting on the Bills' bench? Steve Tasker. I am 100% convinced that Tasker would have been Welker or Edelman before Welker and Edelman if we had used him in that role. He sure as hell would have been better than Edwards.

Isn't the problem that Oliver and Phillips play the same position (3-technique)? Have they been on the field at the same time much this season? Can you let Star go and hope the other Phillips can fill his spot? If we didn't have Oliver I think you go hard to keep Phillips. With Oliver on the roster (and looking to have a big 2020 season), I'm just not sure.

No. Ivory was already shot as well. Second half of the season should have at least had Yeldon activated. I'm sure we'll see him in season finale.

I was thrilled with Oliver and Ford, being a "build from the trenches out" guy. But with perfect 20/20 hindsight, drafting DK Metcalf instead of Ford makes this entire thread moot.

A few years ago, we needed a "big" receiver and chose James Hardy over Desean Jackson. There's a lesson in there somewhere.

I always like the hypothetical KC - Buff trade Mahones for J. Allen and White (I guess you have to throw Cordy Glenn in to make it more accurate as to what actually went down). After yesterday's game I think that is the first time KC would actually consider making the trade!

It can't be "best". It has to be "most historic" or "most significant". Briscoe played some QB for the Broncos before coming over to the Bills. Harris I believe was first starting black QB. Williams won a Super Bowl, etc.

No. He's 42 and starting to look every bit of that. He's mediocre at this point in a system that is designed for him. Picks, dinks, dunks. When he's pressured, he throws the ball into the ground. Can you imagine what he'd look like in the Bills' offensive scheme? Remember Peyton Manning? He looked pretty good until he didn't. Win, lose or don't make the Super Bowl, I'd be surprised if Brady is back with NE next year and surprised if he doesn't retire.

Bills needed the win to make the playoffs. Tie gives 49'ers two game edge in loss column. Totally different circumstances. If Bills were in same position as 49ers and McDermott was as aggressive as Shanahan, posters would have rightly given McDermott grief. In that situation, you drain the clock to give yourself some chance of a win while giving your opponent next to no chance for the win.

NFL simply doesn't believe in analytics. A tie keeps you up two games on your nearest rival. Analytics would have dictated at least one or two runs at that point in OT. You still have a chance to pull out a win but you ensure that Seattle doesn't have enough time left to do the same.

Yeah, this. It's a meaningless stat unless you compare to league averages. I'm guessing there are QB's who haven't thrown a pass that's travelled 30 yards in the air over the last two years. Maybe it also means that we shouldn't be trying to throw passes that travel 30 yards in the air. Also, does this include Hail Marys? What is the league average on completing Hail Marys?

Well, the Bills' season is on the line next week in Miami. We'll see how that goes.

Gilmore was an excellent corner while he was here but in his free agency year, I have never, ever seen an NFL player avoid contact like Gilmore avoided contact. It was a joke. After that, I didn't care whether he came back or not. Still don't.
