  1. I think its a humongous ego adjustment to go from GOD on the Oregon campus to highly-regarded employee (with no track record) of the ownership and front office.

The other thought is that he may need total control of personnell to be able to work his magic and he found out that only the elite are handed that coming in the door in the NFL.

  2. That's impossible. And even if it was possible, we're not allowed to say so.

And no gloating either. We suck so we can't claim success in anything.

Because some of our fans say so.

Big difference between saying we did the smart thing, and pointing at the Browns and saying hahahahahaha nice job getting a coach.......3 years after we got turned down by everyone and had to resort to digging one out of the trash.

Just saying that we don't need to invite any more curses/bad karma on us....

    GO DOUG/GO BILLS BABY!!!!!!!!

  3. Hahahahahahahahaha!

Sorry, just had to laugh. Looks like Cleveland's Plan B just signed with The Bills (well, perhaps, maybe, sorta, he's supposed to have by some accounts).

Haslam with all that moolah and Banner with all his cunning couldn't close the deal - after a seven hour marathon meeting and a followup meeting or two. The Brownies are now going to have to retool. Methinks they've been plotting for months to get Kelly, and now it's blown up in their faces - including their "backup" plan.

Bills fans laughing at Cle's failed attempts to better themselves is akin to one bum laughing at another bum as they both lay in the gutter.

"hahahahah how does that rat taste?.....I'm dining on pidgeon over here"

  4. Why would a first time HC want to hire the guy that the fans wanted for his position? We would have a "coaching controversy" the first bad game Doug has.....

which, by my estimation, should be week 1 2013. kidding.

Lovie would be great but 99.9% no way. Go Doug/Go Bills!

  5. Chan felt like a loser decision right from the start.....as did Skeletor.....

This feels different. Lets watch the man build his staff.....and hope that his relationship with the FO in terms of personnell is a good one. Lets see who he keeps around and the type of player they start to bring in.

    Something feels good about this.

  6. Dude. There are over 800 posts in this thread.

    You don't have to apologize.

    Your theory could be accurate.

The opposing theory is that Kelly would relish the opportunity to compete with his friend twice a year.

How do you feel about competing with your friends?

Some people like to, others don't.

If my friend was BB.....and I had to outcoach him

    I'd be in Cleveland..... :-)

I dont have an NFL-sized ego though.....they may get off on it.

  7. So a guy who graduates from Harvard, makes the NFL as a 7th round pick, becomes a solid backup QB, threws more tds than ints in all 3 of seasons as a starter is an utter failure?

As for Te'o, he should have won the Heisman. He carried a very average ND team to the title game. I would have zero problem if neither Smith or Barkley are there, drafting Te'O 8th. Buffalo should be known as a great defensive team. Plus, we need more Samoans.

Utter failure as a human being? no. It's nice he has that degree from Harvard and busted his A- to get to where he got. Nobody doubts the man's character and smarts. Sure is likeable too.

He is, however, a failure as the Buffalo Bills starting QB....an utter failure. His TD to INT ratio is a great stat line....so what? Those INT's came at the most critical times and cost us games....not A game....SEVERAL games.

This thread isn't supposed to devolve into another nauseating Fitz debate...
