  1. most definitely.....this.
  2. Were getting the #7 LB from the Bengals to go with the #6 we just signed (to motivate Mario of course)?
  3. Gotta like the Texans D next year, The Ravens D?.....not so much.
  4. I would take a flyer on Fred Davis for a 1 year/option for 2 kind of deal + draft one in 3-5 round....when healthy, Davis had moments of being a total beast.
  5. Did he look a little like Daunte Culpepper to anyone else?
  6. ummm....dis right here ^^^^
  7. Any Nix apologist thread should be "moderated" from the get-go. If the idea behind this thread is to insinuate that we are blindly accepting the unknown, vs. the known entity, that known entity has set us back in his tenure primarily by failing to address a clear need at THE most important position on the field. We could not attract/afford another GM with an established track record. We would have to stretch VERY hard to grab any one else's up-and -coming GM. We have an ownership situation that most GM's do not want to get near. That feeds and compounds the persistent stigma surrounding the quality of the city, weather, social aspects etc etc. Here we are with a widely respected guy, from a culture of success, possesses multiple championship rings, league-wide respected as an up and coming GM candidate in hand....and this thread exists solely to ask what he's done as a GM. THIS....is why we fail as fans. We have a guy that's married to one collegiate division, is a fish out of water in the Northeast, is too old, not that respected in the GM circles and has completely fuk'd us in the QB dept. And someone has to start a thread challenging the incumbent who has the right background as if he is going to do worse.
  8. sht....youre right....my bad there. Always looking to take shots at the cheats....sometimes before I fact check.
  9. And one less ring for the cheating "genius"
  10. He would immediately be the player that understands winning the most on our entire roster (unless Charlie Sheen gets acquired) If we are in the market for another veteran QB....this is the one I would want.
  11. IF you owned a 3k square foot loft in Manhattan, you need not want, nor dive, for anything my friend. I agree that you can find some nice elements of the fringe decor variety in the trash....I wish we were at the stage (SF, NE, BAL, NYG, PIT, HOU, ATL) where a couple of smart end tables would make the place perfect BUT we need several load bearing studs right now because the house structure isn't finished. JL plays with heart....I live in NYC too and am forced to watch the Jets more than I care to admit, and he was a guy that played with heart and levels above his talent.
  12. Look what I found in the dumpster!.....It seems to look okay....may still work....let's plug it in and give it a try.
  13. Were good at the trash thing....
  14. I do not get the feeling that there is a cohesive strategy at OBD.
  15. Domenik Hixon would be a perfect match....nothing we would have to break the bank for either. speed, hands, tough as nails, guy works hard and wants a shot to be a bigger part of the offense.
  16. You do have to admit, we are very quiet and nobody here is quite sure if were in full blown rebuild, selective shopping of lesser-cost but quality talent, or trying to build a winner 2013....our moves are not as clearly indicative as other franchises when they are faced with each. There's a lot of work to do and Russ, the marketing guru, can't be thinking that patching holes like the ones we have with rookies, undrafted fa's and dumpster diving is going to sell out the Ralph. Nor will it help people to "keep the faith" if we go 0-3 out of the gate. So when a Dansby or a DHB come to the market and people would like to see them signed, it's because they want to see us be competitive now......if we are on a 3 year rebuilding plan, then we can obviously look beyond the 30+_ veteran crew....Antoine Winfield and Osi Umenyiora....and more towards the 26-28 y.o. mid-tier FA's that have their best years to come. It's not that we are dooooomed but we have seen teams year in and year out do 1-2 year drastic turnarounds.....with their intentions clear as day.....and successfully. Here we are in dead silence and uncertain of wtf the governing strategy is at OBD.....is there disharmony already in the FO? Is the old man meddling? I am holding hope for a flurry of "good" FA's to be added strategically HOPEFULLY SOON that will spell out where we're going to draft, who's playing OG, LB, #1 WR and oh....QB. etc. I think it will happen but holy crap, its a little scary right now and I don't blame the doom/gloom crew. We have no clear direction.
  17. Too many holes and $ to spend elsewhere.....most unfortunate will be missed.
  18. HAHAHAHA - are there enough clubs, bottles and models in WNY to keep him amused and in the style he's accustomed to?
  19. MORE PLEASE! We're backing off the ledge cautiously but it's still a good lunge away!
