Well as of right now we draft 6th
filthymcnasty08 replied to Kellyto83TD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Doesn't matter what the rest of the GM's were doing, the fact of the matter was that WE had no developmental QB and there was a guy there with unquestionable talent, character, skill set, leadership etc….just not height, and a very very high ceiling if he were to pan out. A lot of people knew this before the draft (See all of the threads at 2BD) and would have thought a 3 would have been fair value for, at WORST, Fitz #2 with a shot to be #1 within a season. We had a need for a QB well above a gadget WR from a crap football program. That non-pick, for me, will forever define Nix as a GM. The more I like Wilson as a person/player…..the more angry it makes me. Nix should get a ring if Seattle wins it this year. -
I live in Giants country….The G-Men paid Cruz #1 receiver $ and, going into his contract year, I am certain Nicks' agent got right in his ear about protecting himself for his big FA push. He has been a shell of his former self….at 25! Skipped OTA's, does not seem to get after it like he used to, clearly is not on the same page/not happy with Eli and Reuben Randle has made a strong case for more targets. He has not been good for the GMen and his production numbers are pedestrian for a guy that is going to demand at least $9M/year. Shame - that guy has the ability to take over a game when he's on. In short, he was born and raised in Charlotte, played his college ball at Chapel Hill……guess which pro team/prolific QB needs weapons??? My guess is that he will be a Panther Day 1 of FA and for large $.

Aside from the swap argument, that video shouldn't be allowed not this site….ever! Pain. Misery. On a different note, and I never really took notice, Norwood's body language and facial expression pre-kick…..were not indicative of a confident man.
-
Ha!....that is awesome......and kinda painful to think about. Any film of the swap out?

as is circumstantial evidence...of which there is a ton.

Sorry but we cannot be that naive as to how the damage control + media game is played in American big business. Jesus. They cannot under any circumstance allow the public to believe for one second that the SUPERBOWL is tainted. At all cost, hold it to regular season.....firewall off the damage. we will NEVER know the truth of what was on the tapes they destroyed....because Goodell ordered them destroyed. Must have been some reeeeeaallllllly good stuff! As will "willfully ignorant" sheep

The Spygate book outlines that, during the years they taped, if it were the first time facing that team that season, they needed the first half to collect the data/process it - then put it to use in the 2nd half. This is why many of the Pats games were "a tale of two halves" - these are the legendary "adjustments" Can't help but to think of a whole bunch of games where they were night and day after the half.

http://www.sportingn...belichick-faulk Faulk didn’t mince words in telling Curran that the Patriots seemed too prepared to handle what the Rams’ high-powered offense, especially on red-zone plays they had never shown in previous games. Sound familiar?

Russell F#$%king Wilson vs. TJ Graham that is all. The pick was clear as day what we needed and what was right in our face. Bills F.O. made the Seahawks offense.

Question for everyone....

This.....and the media does their part in NEVER alluding to it EVEN when they speak of the 3 SB's won before getting caught. Makes sense right? It's in the best interests of the NFL to not have the public thinking that it's product is tainted. An entire economy would be at stake. I watched the 2nd half of the Pats Texans and, weirdly enough, it looked to me on certain plays that Brady didn't have to read where the blitz was coming from. He took the snap and immediately went to the hot read on the biltz side. I didn't think cheating- just how awesome Brady is etc. - but funny how that accusation came out later.
-
Why would the burden of proof be MORE difficult should the Texans want to make a case here? Shouldn't it be easier? Listen to what the Texans are saying…..sounds exactly like those victimized pre-2007 when the Pats were caught in the act. Read the Spygate book….their OC is a figurehead and doesn't call the plays…..google Ernie Adams…..he IS the system and he is still with the organization. In 2007, as part of Spygate, it was revealed that Adams received tapes from a "third camera" that recorded opponents' defensive signals against league rules, and studied them to learn the signals. Belichick confirmed this was the case, but said that they were only a small part of the "mosaic" that were the Patriots' offensive game plans at the time.[4] With the Patriots and throughout his career, Adams is known for keeping a low profile. Former Browns owner Art Modell notably quipped "I'll pay anyone here $10,000 if they can tell me what Ernie Adams does."

If they're not in Buffalo, they're not the Bills to me. People from Baltimore did not root for the Colts prior to getting the Ravens - quite the contrary. People from Cleveland despised the Ravens prior to getting the new Browns. I see much of the same here. If the NFL wants to sever one of the most loyal and hard core fan bases that go back to the AFL…and destroy true American football culture….go right ahead and move em to Toronto…….then fuk off. I will never watch your soul-less tainted corporate product even if you keep our name and logo. One move in the direction of Can-Am garbage….putting a maple leaf on the charging Buffalo or the Jerseys and I am done for life. -

The NFL should be embarrassed by this Toronto garbage….the demand is pure novelty up there and nothing to consider for a long-term placement of a franchise. -
Geno will have his day in a smaller market. He's a rookie….making rookie mistakes…a lot of them. NY a TERRIBLE place for him to be doing so.

Why isn't anyone talking about Stevie?
filthymcnasty08 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The guy has swagger on a team and in a town that historically has none. With a real QB, you're talking about one of the top 5 possession WR's in the game. One of the best WR's I have seen at getting early separation in press coverage. Nightmare for a DC to try and stack the box against the run…..a good and accurate QB could dink and dunk to death with Stevie. Just making sure we're all talking about the same guy here. For some reason, people are confusing him with a pass dropping head case with personality issues that needs to be traded for a shtty pick in the draft. Amazing how, like a dog chasing his tail, the fans on this board still speak as if drafting automatically yields replacements for those that have been successful at the pro level. I hope we keep him…we have nothing close to him and his skills pair well with Woods and Goodwin. We need a TE and our QB to take big steps to the next level. -
possibly the best player in the NFL this year

So well done…lol…..all these years of losing has honed a tremendous sense of humor around 2BD. I would rather have someone with stronger ties to WNY…..he's a south Jersey guy that identifies himself with Philly. Art Modell and Bob Irsay could't resist the expansion opportunities and I believe that they were rooted in the areas from which they moved away…. -

Eh….was nothing more than a hunch…..loved the draft pick - he played the position nasty in college…..saw a future enforcer out there. Let us not forget where our collective psyche was around the draft - porous, horrible WANNY defense that was soft up the middle. Basically I'm pulling for the kid okay! ;-) Taking nothing away from A Will who is, to me, the biggest surprise of the season.
