  1. RIP Mr. Wilson, Like close family members, we have had our ups and downs together, but the love was always there. I wish you could have experienced a SB win. You did see the league you helped form turn into a worldwide entertainment phenomenon. Congratulations on a long, healthy and successful life.
  2. Spring Break - Daytona Beach....1990 Was with a bunch of friends in a bar called Waves Beach Bar. It turned into a club at night and we were there at the time of day when it was in transition from restaurant to club. We were at our table when I noticed Jimbo at a nearby table. Up close, in his prime, you would say this dude was a LB....huge shoulders. Anyway, word got around that he was there and people were buying him rounds all night. He was very generous not to refuse any of them - shots and all. The best part of it was his company - 2 drop dead gorgeous blondes in tight skirts. 10's. So as things progressed, a now drunk Jimbo took his game out to the dance floor with both girls and proceeded to "dance" heavily with both of them. They then disappeared for about an hour (This is a hotel bar) and down came Jimbo afterwards a little stumbly with the hair a mess (still had a lot then) and the two girls looking like they too had been trampled a bit but tried to put it back together. I now had courage up to approach him....Bought him a shot, shook his hand...gave me that stare that a lot of Irish guys get when they have had too many and they were deciding whether or not you've pissed them off and if they should take it further. He drank a sht load that night. I said "Big fan, native Buffalonian" He shook my hand looked away and it was over. There was not a guy in the place that a) was not aware of him being there and b) did not want to be him that night. It was one of I am sure many rock star moments for Jimbo in his prime! I will always think of him as that guy that was built out of bricks....no matter what happens. Love ya Jimbo - be well.
  3. Yeah, the Eagles …. such a dumb organization…19 playoff games (1 SB) since our last appearance in the post season. Heard the GMen were looking at him too….they suck as well.
  4. Kolb was brought in because the experience level was extremely low, a move that most everyone agreed with. If he were healthy, not too many people would see an issue with an open competition for the starting slot this year. We are discussing bringing in a younger, more experienced and probably more talented player than Kolb. It's probably a 4M/year hedge on our season. EJ goes down again and we have nice guys to root for but they just do not have the experience.
  5. Although I agree with you on his lack of growth over that period of time....the talent level around him on offense went straight down in those years as well. Shottenheimer was at the tail end of his tenure/getting run out of town as OC too.
  6. Not specifically EJ (never said that) but.....our QB situation cost us games last year...specifically the lack of experience on the roster....would you agree? We started our practice squad QB and our UDFA QB - we all watched it happen....we know the games, we know the situation. Still do not see the issue with adding a former starter with playoff experience to a pretty green and shaky group of QBs.
  7. Again, the sad thing is....he would win outright if there were a 4-way competition in Bills camp. It's less a statement about wanting him here and more a statement about our QB situation. We got exposed last year, cost us 3 games ARGUABLY, and we were left with question marks with our 1st round draft pick/franchise hopeful. We brought Kolb in last year...people were fine with that as a veteran presence...is Kolb better? He would also be the most post-season experienced member of our offense. Cannot deny 2 AFC Championship appearances...D or no D.
  8. A team with 3 unproven QBs on the roster. What's sad about all the hate for this guy is that he would, unarguably, be the best QB on our roster immediately.
  9. I'm with you brother…..but we just came off a season where we were exposed for not having experience at the QB position…giving away a few games as a result.....a little insurance policy would have been nice. Thad and Tuelbag are both learning like EJ. Dirty Sanchise would be legit….problem is, he'd beat out EJ.
  10. If one of the Top 8 grab him, that means another non-QB elite talent will be drafted ahead of us. We need those QBs to go high!!!!!
  11. If we have to draft an EJ replacement next year, we will have yet another rookie season where the rest of the team is playoff-caliber. Wash, rinse…repeat. It's insanity for us to not have a wily, experienced vet QB on this team ready to step in.
  12. Sanchez will get another chance to start somewhere. Change of scenery will do him good. He would immediately be the best QB on our roster - but I am still saying NO (and secretly thinking "hell yeah!")
  13. Taking Matthews is a zero risk and tremendous value at 9. Bills=better immediately.
  14. No chance of a trade down/take Ebron...... GMen right there at 12 http://www.bigblueview.com/2014-nfl-draft-mock-order-prospects-picks-new-york-giants/2014/3/19/5526206/eric-ebron-interview-nfl-draft-2014-new-york-giants
  15. foreshadowing is a common practice in Hollywood....
  16. Mike Evans is an elite prospect but that bowl game was a tell tale sign and this is the icing on the cake.
  17. OMFG. I'm afraid the football gods are watching this and saying: "Nope, Buffalo is still not ready to win……make it 15 years" let it go people let. it. go.
  18. While we're at it, just do this.... OFFENSE WR – Randy Moss, Marvin Harrison, Terrell Owens, Torry Holt TE – Tony Gonzalez; Antonio Gates T – Walter Jones, Jonathan Ogden, Orlando Pace, William Roaf G – Alan Faneca, Steve Hutchinson, Will Shields, Larry Allen C – Kevin Mawae, Olin Kreutz QB – Tom Brady, Peyton Manning RB – LaDainian Tomlinson, Edgerrin James, Jamal Lewis, Shaun Alexander FB – Lorenzo Neal DEFENSE DE – Dwight Freeney, Michael Strahan, Jason Taylor, Julius Peppers DT – Richard Seymour, Warren Sapp, Kevin Williams, La’Roi Glover LB – Ray Lewis, Derrick Brooks, Brian Urlacher, Joey Porter, Zach Thomas, Demarcus Ware CB – Champ Bailey, Charles Woodson, Ronde Barber, Ty Law S – Ed Reed, Brian Dawkins, Troy Polamalu, Darren Sharper SPECIAL TEAMS P – Shane Lechler, Brian Moorman K – Adam Vinatieri, David Akers PR – Dante Hall, Devin Hester KR – Joshua Cribbs, Dante Hall COACHES Bill Belichick, Tony Dungy
  19. people that live in glass houses.....
  20. Garappolo will be the best QB from this draft. mark it!
  21. ridiculous mocks= page views.
  22. I think they have Nicks all but wrapped....probably negotiating terms right now.
  23. Well put - I agree with everything you mentioned None of it can explain what the hell we are doing with the Left Guard position. After last season, the evidence was overwhelming that putting shite players at LG DOES have a negative effect on the offenses ability to execute. Hoping that the shite LG we picked up in FA is a place holder just in case we miss our target in the 2nd or 3rd round of the draft.
