  1. garbage product all around on offense today so far.
  2. Don't look now: Nassib - 2 TD passes 119.6 QBR
  3. Agreed ….but……both of us had Rookie QB's We had 3 and outs seemingly 75% of our drives and their guy was a turnover MACHINE. Both defenses were asked to make a lot of stops and were better than their stats would otherwise indicate.
  4. 67 yards in a half is now a "gashing"? Jennings broke one for 23 to skew your YPC average. 44 yards on 12 carries is high 3's YPC + one big play.
  5. The same one where we say that our D is top tier…..they were 11 overall last year, we were 10.
  6. Watching them basically laugh at the GMen so far in a (meaningless) pre-season game. I have to admit, the Jets seem to me like one of those teams that could click and be very scary. They're using CJ2K exactly how I wish we would use Spiller….designed plays to get him outside and in space. They then pound inside with Ivory. O-Line looks good in the run game….hard to say with the pass protection as the GMen have no rush. Decker was a great addition as a possession WR - there's chemistry already with Geno. They need Hill to be the deep threat or they will have a hard time stretching D's. Their D was close to championship caliber last year. Coples looks a lot leaner and more comfortable- showed freakish speed off the edge breaking up running plays in the backfield. They were rushing 4 and getting to Eli. Most importantly, Geno looks a LOT less lost out there…throwing the ball with a lot of zip and accuracy. We know they're going to be a very good defensive team. On the O-side the run/screen game looks tight already….If Geno makes some strides in running a controlled passing game , they have the making of a stingy D, ball control nightmare. No doubt Rexy has a chip on his shoulder from last year…. Looking like no gimme's in the division F!@#$#….must be us again
  7. Our offense explodes and never looks back
  8. I believe that the answer is that our brain trust felt that they had 2 backups that showed enough last year that, with reps in camp/pre-season, one of the 2 would round into form. So far: FAIL To bring in this guy or that guy ahead of their understanding their oversight (last weekend) would only take reps away and we would never truly get to see the full suck of both backups. Unfortunately, it took us getting here for them to finally understand that we have big time QB problems. I think something will be done. I am sure there's a short list at OBD of QB's they'd like to see hit the mkt.
  9. 3rd overall pick in the draft…..let's see every bit of it this year.
  10. Just to be certain we're all on the same page - we're talking about the BACKUP position. I believe everyone here understands that it's EJ's job to lose with a wide berth this entire season. Should he get INJURED (go figure) or just completely melt down, we have utter garbage at the backup position. Not sure why the EJ apologist camp can't handle a very capable backup option being discussed.
  11. Sanchez would have been a very very nice backup QB to have. Not that we were ever considering - that is more the type of move that winning organizations make. Still amazes me how many on this board would have been completely against it, given how predictable it was that we would have a bad QB situation.
  12. I do not agree that we would have had a different iteration of Russell Wilson. The kid had a winners mentality that was there for all to see, he was a 2 sport success which tells you a lot about drive/commitment/character, he has the smarts, the arm, the athleticism and the leadership capabilities.....they were all there to see at the lead-up to the draft (and were discussed by many on this board). The point is that, even though we don't have the same supporting cast as SEA, you would still see these same qualities come out provided he had the stage to perform. We would have seen enough to feel good about the QB position today (I totally fuk'd up where TJ went to school...I got it crossed with our other loser WR pick from UConn - was thinking UConn...SORRY about that!)
  13. Still burns me that Russell Wilson was there for us ---and we picked a loser WR from a garbage program. We wouldn't be having all of this EJ talk... sorry.
  14. Everybody does it.....not sure why people think it mattered.
  15. That explains the move! Thanks for the insightful post. Good to know how many of us on the board don't want him on the Bills though….
  16. First SB against the GMen - Strahan and co. were getting some nice clean shots on him. Was the most I have seen him abused in his career…..and it was awesome.
  17. Or…. It was a gigantic threat to the integrity of the game/league and could not be allowed to be investigated further or open for discussion in the media. The ramifications of a loss of integrity reach far and wide, billions are lost, and all sorts of football-dependant economies are doomed. I would imagine that there were many owners that would have otherwise loved to have seen Kraft/Bellicheat fry…but as soon as they understood that you can't burn down one house without burning the entire neighborhood down…..they all decided that they like their situations and there's no need to rock the boat. and if were getting strippers, count me in as well
  18. All three SB wins were 3 point victories…it mattered.
  19. Not a chance. Fitz is a known….EJ still unknown and those that are advising to give it this year….are right on point. My issue is that we do not have a Fitz type in the BACKUP position!!!! My god such a big bet sending 3 basically rookies with a playoff roster otherwise…..and no hedge.
  20. Careful Bills fans - the football gods are watching us… Threads like this might cost us year 15. "Nope…they're still not ready to be winners"
