  1. If it all falls apart again this year, it will likely be Coughlin's last with the Giants…that means new coaching regime and possibly a new QB. It's very hard to believe that they will ever part ways with Eli but if he burns out this year, they are going to have to consider it as he's a big part of their cap.
  2. and that is why we play the games.
  3. he's a natural
  4. Bills/GMen Giants tix in the family all my life - heart is with the Bills.….always go to one at the Ralph and Their game at Jets every year.
  5. Thanks for the posts….always BILLieve!
  6. There's no quitting the Bills to go to another team…..if you quit the Bills, you quit on football altogether (and Buffalo). Could never live with myself….going to Steelers games as some kind of latch-on to their tradition of greatness.
  7. I fear you're right (love the guy…should have played for his hometown team)….I don't get the feeling a 6'6" frame is meant to go that fast and collide with safeties over a long, productive career.
  8. Herm Edwards on ESPN this weekend: Patriots to win the division by 2-3 games. Revis and healthy Gronk were his reasons. Nobody in the division even comes close and he didn't even isolate the Jets/Fins/Bills. Wow…I mean….fearless stuff there Herm and you played and coached the game….you offer me the same sh-t I can get from any fantasy football couch potato. Point is - these big media guys all love the favorite and are never on top of an emerging/changing situation until the proof is right there for everyone. WE HAVE TO EARN IT.
  9. The thing about pre-season is that it takes away the key element that a late-starter, 2nd half, best under pressure QB feeds off. This is primarily why I have solid hope that EJ is going to be somewhere from good enough to better than expected. (2 TD Passes, one non-costly INT) He will be able to settle down and settle in over the course of a full game. I am looking for ANY improvement in accuracy on the long ball over last year, better footwork, better decisions and the presence of a guy that is in command of things. ANY uptick whatsoever…ESPECIALLY on the road.
  10. Giddy up!!! Brandon Spikes get's me psyched up…smart move making him a Captain…true enforcer in the middle….Pepper Johnson knows how to get him prepared and fired up. The kind of stuff that an entire unit can feed off!
  11. ESPN jumped the proverbial shark long ago. I would much rather go to the web for highlights and box scores….NFL Countdown/Sports Center both so overproduced at this point that they are practically seizure-inducing.
  12. Love our overall talent and look forward to our element of surprise for those that take us lightly TACKLES FOR LOSSES! - led the league in preseason…that cannot ever be a bad thing. RB's - of course, WR's: we're deep and our guys get open. Schwartz : as advertised! Spikes - thumping RB's in the middle! Mario, Marcel and Kyle: Raising Hell Bradham/Duke Williams/Preston Brown….will all be very solid contributors on a STOUT D!
  13. I applaud the FO for their efforts to get some value from our lower end players. Ya never know.
  14. You don't draft projects in Round 1…..6 other rounds + UDFA for that.
  15. THIS - Why the F did it take us dropping to absolute zero before the FO decided to make a move in the right direction. This board never agrees 100% on any matter - EXCEPT that our QB was very shaky going into 2014 and badly in need of a veteran presence.
  16. Disgusting to me that it took until now for management to realize this. Absolutely disgusting. We could have gotten the veteran QB in the offseason and not have to feed him our offense inside of a week.
  17. some brighter sides of this: Re-shuffled OL's always need time to gel (or jell) - We had Cordy out for most of camp, We had to give a long look to our 2nd rounder at RT - "no go" there, Seantrel changing sides, Pears to an inside position, etc. I believe that we are as strong at the OT position as we have been in over a decade. We achieved the overall depth we needed as well. This is a unit that will get stronger as the season progresses, that's how good OL's come to be….hardly ever an overnight thing. RB's - check. WR's: our guys get open. Williams looks to be a great addition at a good price. Schwartz : as advertised TACKLES FOR LOSSES! - led the league in preseason…that cannot ever be a bad thing. Mario, Marcel and Kyle: Cutler - you're first. Spikes - as advertised. Bradham - raised his game this year. Duke Williams - same Preston Brown - future looking bright here. The flashes of our offense clicking, although few and not in the red zone, involved nice chunks of yardage. The slightest uptick from better OL chemistry and better QB play will yield much more production. Need our stars to get the ball and do what they do.
  18. Me too….but I do wish that he gave us a bit more to feel good about in the pre-season.
  19. Poor Poor EJ can't have competition for his job…. when the fuk did this stop being the NFL?
  20. interesting thought for certain...
