Marrone yells to Russ "go ahead and fire me"

Both recent GMen Super Bowl seasons had a point in time where there was a borderline locker room mutiny and/or Coughlin being on the hot seat. -
Just watched it and it basically gave me a panic attack….This is not funny! I had no idea what the story was, then it all unfolds... Cleveland (after numerous trades and drama) wound up with 2 first rounders in the top 7. This is hitting way too close to home! Why was Russ Brandon in the movie? I thought I was hallucinating…all the other teams used actors for their FO people…..there's our guy Russ in a movie about Cleveland winding up with 2 picks inside of the top 7. Please God - let the pick we give them be a high teener to a twenty something…. and GO BILLS!!!!!

I do not believe in the accuracy of this reporting at all…BUT…I do believe that there is palpable tension between the personnel people and the HC The FO (Rookie GM) put the entire organization, the coaching staff and the fans "all-in" on EJ They doubled it down by insisting it was a matter of weapons so they used 2 #1's on a ridiculously talented WR (that is now injured) and we cannot draft a QB #1 next year. They further compounded the situation by staying put on the backup QB position and, as many of us suspected, both backups sucked. Enter Jordan fukng Palmer - Marrone blows a gasket As a rookie HC in my very first tenure, the last thing I would want to do is get fuk'd over by the FO's over-commitment to a weak draft pick at the most important position. We all say that last year's team was playoff caliber outside of the QB's…I kinda feel Marrone's frustrations. He all too easily can become the fall guy for the FO. This is why the established veteran winning HC's demand personnel decision making powers. -
This is the logic I absolutely love: because all 32 teams passed on him twice (without factoring in individual team needs and pick values), everyone failed so singling out the Bills is ridiculous. Nobody saw Brady becoming what he is. Nobody. Conversely, 50+% of this board ahead of the draft were posting about taking Wilson with a mid round pick. Everyone agreed that the guy has intangibles off the charts (brains, leadership, drive, work ethic) and a highly-accurate arm. The only concern would be how his game translated to the pro level. We discussed that Wisconsin's line were similarly sized to a NFL line so it was a good indication that his height would not be the issue. We had a need at the position and we addressed other primary needs with picks 1-2, it was right there for us in the 3rd. If you read a transcript of the Shout Box at that time, it was a foregone conclusion by many of us that we had traded up to get him. It was another bizarre surreal draft day moment as a Bills fan when our pick came from left field. Same EXACT way we thought its 100% Orakpo….no way it's not Orakpo….this is it….can't wait to get Orakpo!………..

You do not amass a 100+ QBR over your first 2 years courtesy of your defense.
-
Actually I think he's been watching him get to the NFC title game as a rookie, win the SB in his 2nd year, amass the best 2 season winning record of all-time, carry over a 100 QBR and look/act like the total package. Then he's probably holding that up against the completely unsettled feeling about our starting QB along with the front office desperation moves of this/last year Throw in T.J. Graham THEN - he watched RW come out pretty sharp tonight, reminded himself how Seattle is set at the QB position for 10+ years, listened to the announcers start to mention him with the elite QB's and reminded himself of the train wreck we saw at the position in pre season... and the only thing that temporarily makes our not having picked him feel the least bit better is to put a post up on the wall.

Is he better than Fitz? Yes. What were we paying Fitz? Exactly. OK, he was a starter you say….Would we have paid Fitz more than $5M to stay on as a backup to EJ (Assuming Fitz agrees to a pay reduction)? You betcha. Great move Bills, now lets move along! -

This is soooooo not Cleveland….I feel that the universe will right itself and his second tenure, with or without success, will be with UNCLE JERRUH!! -
Nah….Spikes takes it to the next level….needs some Colt 45s and a fine lady…..like the old Billy Dee Williams ads. If someone with talent can photoshop spikes into this pic, we may have something here….

So lush…who wouldn't want to be draped in Bills blue velour? Who I ask?

We all speak the same language, no matter how it's transcribed…OP I feel ya brother. -
Fuk em! We're starving over here for anything resembling success! I would put the Bills on that list as we had the one of the best football GM's of all-time, perennial playoff appearances and always with loads of talent, and our aging owner's ego allowed him to go and revive Indy into what they are today.

Guy came to us as advertised….love what he brings.

2 SB MVP's 3 Pro Bowls 30 Game winning drives 11Playoff appearances (8-3 Record, 89.3 QBR) 5 road playoff wins in the 2 SB years 35000+ passing yards career Never missed a start in 10 years Plaxico doesn't shoot himself and he may have had a third ring/MVP as they were the best team in football in 2008 prior to that. OUR guy better get to work
