I'm thinking they've had their fill with DC studs with large ego's for a while….Schwartzie not a fit. They may need someone that can command immediate respect like Cowher the same way Parcells came in there and created a winning atmosphere. Having a top 3 pick in the draft will be a nice kicker to a new HC.

The Pats are the crown jewel to the NFL During their run, historical levels of fan interest and profits. They took an underperforming, large market loser franchise and turned it into a massive iconic profit center and an almost inexplicable perennial winner regardless the non-QB personnel. They have the NFL's "Cover Girl" at QB and a very visible and now historically significant HC Their owner is very active in league matters and carries clout with the other owners (he's made them significantly wealthier) The commissioner went out of his way to make sure Spygate was completely damage controlled and those 3 Lombardi's remain untarnished in the eyes of the average football fan. All of this shows in the way the referees call their games -ESPECIALLY in their building. I have never seen them lose on a controversial call or series of calls. Yet, they went to the SB because of one that wound up being a rule change - in their favor of course. I feel like the refs do everything short of saying "Sorry Tom, Sorry Bill…..lot of people watching, hope you understand I have to call this.

We have no running game….a team with a good pass rush is going to present problems IF…..we do not put in a few new offensive wrinkles. Nah….line em up and run em into the line 2x Nathaniel.

Meh…I understand running the ball doesn't kill your QB when you have the lead. You can still mix it up with some other things. I do not buy the rationale that you just send your RBs into the C/G hole because you're sitting on the lead. 3-outs are a great way to tempt fate and have the other team catch your lead.

Lots of similarities on the D-Line….LB's probably a push or maybe advantage 99….I think that we might be better in the secondary with this unit. When I think back to those defenses: I think that Sam Cowart was going to be one all-time great Bills LB ….until TB destroyed his knee.
