  1. Shady, Tyrod and Sammy….poised to have a monster 2016 together. A RT here and a WR2 there and we are talking top 5 offense. Why break it up?
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uuzmub5PXNQ
  3. Will not un-taint what has already been tainted.
  4. I would be excited by our hiring Pettine at AHC/DC under Rex. Whaley's comments about "signing our own free agents" leads me to believe that we are not going to makeover the defense in Rex's image just for a 1 year make/break. Pettine bridges Rex's style of D with our current roster (more or less). This is a different job for Pettine under Rex. He would not be coming to be in his shadow, he would be more coming to rescue him. His best shot at another future HC gig would be to turn the defense around here. I would then be thrilled if Mario restructured based on Pettine coming back.
  5. As Chip found out in Philly, the personnel end of things is a completely different animal from coaching. I think a Czar position requires more experience in that area over any other.
  6. EJ and a project at #3
  7. He may have had 3 or 4 rings if: 1) Plaxico didn't derail their best regular season under Coughlin by shooting himself (2008). Best team in football that year prior to the shooting. 2) They didn't kick it to DeSean in 2010....cost them a home playoff game. I would love to see him give it another go somewhere. I would put McAdoo at the top of the list. Smart of the GMen not to break continuity with the offense/Eli. Eli's too far along in his career to learn a new system and have "bad Eli" for a learning season. Sean Payton would be the only other choice imo.
  8. 19 is the territory where you can snatch a top 10 pick because there was an unexpected run on a different position. Could land a nasty LB here.
  9. That would be devastating.
  10. Did you just insinuate that Megatron would come to buffalo as a number 2 WR to Sammy? Man I love this board after wins!
  11. Two wrongs still will not make a right. The Saints defense was a bigger dung pile than ours.
  12. There's a little extra in it for the Bills to have a hometown kid…someone that won't bellyache about the nightclubs and fly home on his days off. Those that think he's going to be stolen in the 6th or as a UDFA are forgetting the premium on the QB position. Kaepernick was projected 4th/5th and went in the 2nd. Russell Wilson projected 4th-6th, went in the 3rd. Ponder…Tanny-hill…Barkley….Garappolo , Locker...EJ etc. If you think he's got pro potential, want the guy and he's there top of round 3, you have to trade up and get him. I don't think I could live with getting "Gronk'd" by Chad for 20 years should a divisional rival get him!!!!! (Jets, Fins and Pats could all use QB's of the future)
  13. Right? I mean, the nerve is out and exposed with those that follow this team. We all saw the putrid defense this year - fans and media. This "Nobody puts Denny on a corner" act should be reserved for coaches that field a winning (if not functional) product and that do not have locker rooms publicly melting down.
  14. Payton has all the hallmarks of a Mara hire but it's very Big Blue to bring Coughlin back for the last year on his contract. What they gave him for a team this year was a joke - Reese has been horrible - particularly with LB's and the TE position. Throw in not having 2 of your elite go-to guys: the dumb moronic July 4th JPP incident and Cruz's recurring injury. If they go south next season again, the entire GM/Coaching staff get blown up. Nowhere does Saint Moron figure into anything they do there. Too classy and smart an organization to dip down.
  15. That would be a deal-breaker for this lifetime fan
  16. Sounds like a guy that would bend himself into a pretzel to custom fit his scheme to his players...
  17. Giants - opposite JPP - they have cap room to spare.
  18. For sure…but wouldn't you say that opposing QB's had an inordinate amount of time to go through their progressions this season vs. last 2?
  19. Two very likable guys for certain…but I just can't lose the pathetic feeling around this.
  20. Enough to make it an issue that had never even been close to coming up before.
  21. And Thurman's job is probably intact. Guy kept his mouth shut and had 4 different DC's in 4 years. Was put in a ludicrous position (considering his strengths and track record). He tried to speak up early on and, unlike our stud WR, was ignored. He had a losing strategy forced on him because REX KNOWS D. Cover that flat Mario…leave the QB alone. Stubborn ego of a bottom-third windbag of a coach that did nothing close to building a scheme around his players.
  22. He was responsible for bringing Hackett here with his Nintendo offense. For that, I cannot call him the best ….even in that putrid peer group.
