So after Lee got traded there was a ton of vitriol toward our receivers. Someone said Nelson or Jones was the worst #2 and pooh like we had the worst WR corps in the league. There were a few who responded to the idiots with "why, cause you have never heard of them?" And for the record, I did like Nelson before today. Of his few catches last year, he showed he had great hands in traffic. And no, Jones has not done much, but I hate the over reactors who don't man up and admit when the are wrong. So far.

We will see, dude is a giant...no db and very few if any LB's in the league matches up well with 6'7" and 263lbs.

So my $.02 on chronic...Yes please. As for the wing/food debate....Definitely after chronic. Seems nice for a Raider fan, and appropriately educated for such. Are their really people out there who think drumsticks are legs? And to the quality of the wings here. If you think Domino's and Pizza Hut have good wings(or pizza for that matter), then these wings will just be wings.

I agree with Fitz or Fitzy. Heard some one say "givin' em Fitz" last week at the bar...didn't like that. Where is "the guy who brought us captain check down" who claimed Gritzpatric would be the best nick name? Looks like you are the only one who agrees.

I'm not sure where this supposition came from, but I don't think it is even remotely accurate or honest. The reason the Bills traded him was that they knew they weren't going to re-sign or extend him next year since he's a one-dimensional receiver in a complex offense. And between Fitz's average arm and an OLine that can't regularly protect 7step drops they knew they weren't going to get a whole lot of production from him this year. So they decided to go ahead and get something out of him now instead of losing him for nothing later. Basically, they got a little worse in the short term in an effort to get a little better in the long term. Anyone that says it has anything to do with anybody currently on the roster is blowing smoke up yer arse. Buddy said in an interview with a Toronto radio station that the Ravens approached him about the trade and that one of the factors that convinced them to make the trade was the positives of opening up the roster spot for one of their younger guys. It is entirely possible that this, as well as your point is true.

mods please close this down! All of this is being discussed in other threads. So sick of it. He is gone, and if he came back next year he would be a number three. He ran poor routs and Stevie was a better deep threat last year. He was a great guy and team mate and I think he will help Baltimore, but rehashing rehashed garbage is not interesting.

I think Sports Science is the worst part of Sports Center. It was cool the first time, but now it feels like I am watching a commercial during an after school special. I hate it.

If YOU had the power to have Brady or Fitz as qb
Ramblin' Rob replied to Clippers of Nfl's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hit me up with examples of his douchieness, and I'd be happy to concede. A celebration here or there, here and there does not a douche make. Celebrations when you losing, or near a play, is douchey. Going out and getting in trouble late at night, acting like an entitled jerk is douchey. Dating an actress, and super rich super models, and winning Super Bowls is prety cool in my book. I'd love to hate the guy, just give me a reason. -

I was in Southern NH from 03 -06, and hated the sports media, especially Smirless or however you spell his name. I get rubbed the wrong way pretty easy, and just never got it from Brady....maybe cause he's pretty. -
Yep, credit where credit is due. I listened again, even though i swore off of them last week, and they have been fair. even mike and chris. The bills give better access to 97 rock and canadian stations than they do the only sports station in town. I'm pretty sure this has something to do with the attitude of WGR.

Even dumber question. AP ALL DAY. Again, I love love love Freddy, but c'mon man, get real. Although I agree with you, saying Fitz would not register in the top 1000 is a bit much. No, his body of work is not their, but if you project his numbers from the his career thus far over the next 10 seasons, he would probably be in the top 100. Not every thing is one extreme or the other. -

Brady was hurt all of '08. Did you mean '07? Why cause they went 16-0? Or cause they ran the score up? Either way, Brady runs the plays that are called and this is not college, it's pro, suck it up and don't cry. If you have a problem with the amount the other team scores, stop em. And i am sure Brady celebrated a time or two, but I don't remember any obnoxious displays. -
The super bowls were pretty bad , but I was the same age as the OP, and I am pretty proud of that era. Dallas Monday Nighter a couple years ago gets my vote. There has been a point for all of the regimes of the past decade where i gave up on them, or the QB. that night I knew jouron would never win. awful.

I don't get the Brady hate. He has played classy, does not act like a douche. Any one who would not choose Brady has clouded judgment. I love Fitz, and will always root against Brady but get real. Now I hate NE fans, and all Boston fans as a whole. Individually they are harmless, but get more than 2-3 of them in one room it is almost unbearable. I speak from experience having lived just north of Boston for a few years. I told my friends straight up, I love you guys but I can not be around you all while the Red Sox or pats are on. Lucky for me the Celtics sucked while i lived there, or I may have offed my self. Sad that my only salvation was the shittiest two months of the year in NE, Feb. and March, between football and baseball seasons. -
Updated ESPN Power Ranking has the Bills..

day late and a dollar short on this post, bub. -
I am with you. I normally like coachtuesdays insight, but i feel he is wrong several times in this thread. SJ was our best deep threat last year, and this year with 4 wide sets and a giant TE it will be hard for any one to cover everyone. Add Jackson and we look pretty good so far. He also said the OL is a problem but promises we will draft a speedy WR in the first round? Wrong again, it will be OL.

Prediction thread; Raiders @ Buffalo
Ramblin' Rob replied to Clippers of Nfl's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My game day pick last week was Bills 31-17. Given the results of Buf-Kc/Den-Oak it is hard for me not too go way to big. That being said 34-17 Buffalo. -
no, it does not remind me of 03 at all. That team was not rebuilding the right way, they were trying to win now with no regard for the future, and it showed. Additionally the Pats locker room was reeling from the surprise loss of a team leader that happened to come over to the Bills just in time to help the offensive coaches game plan for the defense that he knew inside and out. Oh, we also had Bledsoe in his second year with us. Coaching is another huge difference. Gaily and his staff are so much better than Grego. Who was the OC then? And dont give me the crap about George Edwards. Stache is all i have to say. Stop looking for things to worry about. If the Bills Play as hard and half as well as they did last week, we should beat the Raiders. This is all that matters right now.

pretty sure he was saying that this rivalry traditionally has a lot of turnovers. Additionally, Balt. having a deep threat for the first time loosens up the rest of the field because it pulls 1 corner and the attention of the safety away from the line making running plays and underneath passes more successful. I am with you I think, about lee's value to our Team. We did not need him any more, but that doesn't make the OP wrong about his value to Balt.

He's a Robot and are the Patriots our new Dolphins?
Ramblin' Rob replied to shoretalk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is absolutely not the Pats. A rivalry needs competition, 1 for the last 21 is not competitive. I believe that the Miami rivalry has lost a lot over the past decade unfortunately. That leaves us with the Jets, and that has been our most competitive and meaningful division rival of the past decade. This brings me to a thought I have had often over the past 4-5 seasons. We belong in the AFC North. The 'Rust belt' division with Cleavland, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh. It makes sense in all ways except historically, and after a decade of suck, historical rivalries is all we really have. I say switch us out with Baltimore(I know, their rivalry with Pit is good, but didn't Indy/NE get better after realignment?) and all sides would learn to love these new rivalries. -
Bills Broudly Wear Chips on Shoulders
Ramblin' Rob replied to Casey D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sully sucks and should have written a mea culpa article, how ever this is the editors fault, period. The flow is from writer to editor(and head line writer) to print. Every journalist has had their words butchered by an editor at least once, just normally in the text, not the head line. Don't ruin a good point, his contradiction about our bad and now under paid players, with made up crap. -
Forbes Ranks The NFL's Most Valuable Teams
Ramblin' Rob replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will choose to believe they will stay, because if they go there will be nothing I or any of you can do about it. Belly aching and not supporting the team because of speculative fear will certainly not help. Here is my speculative worse case scenario: Ralph Kicks, team moves to LA. Millions of Bills fans make an emotional plea for them to stay to no avail, meanwhile owners in Jacksonville look to buffalo as greener pastures and we get a replacement. There is a place for us, one of the most loyal and passionate fan bases in all of sports, in the NFL. So doom and glooers, carry on. -
