  1. Rutgers always gives them problems. They're lucky to get out of there with a win tonight.
  2. Hey...he may be a dick, but he's no John Abraham. He'll play.
  3. Yeah...he was injured AND has a weak arm.
  4. Yep...we did that to him. "Insiders" with the Jets said that even after he came back, his shoulder wasn't even close to 100% the rest of the season. Now everyone will blame his poor performance late on that. It's only a matter of time before he is exposed as the truely average QB that he is.
  5. Todays two games were complete disappointments. I didn't expect much from Atl-Philly, but this one really blew.
  6. Should have gone for it...FG attempt, while still successful, is a victory for the defense.
  7. I agree with you 100%. For all the pissing and moaning on this board about the Pats, you have to give them their props. This team is absolutely unbelievable. As mentioned in another thread, it will be interesting to see how this team is impacted by the loss of their two coordinators. And I think the Super Bowl will be the best game of all the combinations that could have come out of this weekend.
  8. Yeah, and on that one catch, he was talking smack. What a dope.
  9. While I was at UB in the mid-80's, I saw a UB-Canisius football game there, as well as a Bisons game. The stadium was WELL past its prime by then, despite the rehab done as part of the filming of "The Natural."
  10. What the hell kind of name is "Mincel?"
  11. ESPECIALLY Al Edwards.
  12. In some cases (Kate, Jack, Sawyer), thats true. But Boone (and Shannon for that matter) have their mother back in CA. Locke had a daughter whom we saw him speaking with in his segment. Charlie has a brother back in Australia. But the plane was "a thousand miles off course," so it doesn't really matter if they're missed or not.
  13. I just stood in front of the TV for a minute or two, and then went into the bedroom by myself and cried. It still hurts...BAD. But...I love those guys, each and every one of them. What a great team that was.
  14. You want tough?!? Here I am starting to diet, and at the same time, my wife's got one in the oven, so she's snacking like a fiend just to keep the nausau at bay!
  15. Weill, either the nanny saved the letters (she's been their nanny for nine years...from Paris to Rome to Australia?), or the mother did and gave them to the nanny right at the end.
  16. Well, see, that's the thing. There is obviously something special about this child, and that's why the psychic did what he did, and Ethan (and others?) did what he did.
  17. I thought it was a pretty entertaining episode. Todd so deserved to be fired..."I'd love to help out back here, but I haven't been trained." Dope. Danny was totally a riot, though the entire team can't stand him. If they lose next week, I think he's gone (unless someone else really blows it). Plus...Erin is a complete waste of skin and bone. I bet she's the one who walks out next week. I can't see her getting her hands dirty fixing up an old hotel.
  18. After eating and drinking way too much last Sunday, I found myself sitting on my couch that night feeling like absolutely sh-- while trying to get my 5 year old to stop making fun of my "big belly." So, Monday morning I weighed in at 208, started WW, and hoped for the best. Coincidentally, I got a call from my doctor on Tuesday with the results of my recent physical. He said that my blood sugar was a bit high, my cholesterol was moderately high (238), and my triglycerides were way high (598). Said that I had a month to start eating better and exercising before my next blood test. If the tryglyceride level is still high, we would then need to talk meds. F that. With all that riding on me, I've been really good this week (a solid start to overcoming my snacking weaknesses). I joined a gym yesterday, and will make my first visit there tonight. And just based on my better eating habits this week, I'm down from 208 to 200. My goal is 170 (I'm 5'9"). Keep up the good work guys!
  19. So, here's another example of the theory that the island drew all these people together for the purpose of resolving long-standing personal issues. A great injustice was done to Michael when his B word wife decided to leave and take Walt with her. She didn't give a rats ass about how it would crush Michael...she just had her own selfish desires to fulfill. Well, nine years later, work brings her to Australia. Just as so many other factors would bring the rest of our cast together in Australia as well. Suddenly, a seemingly young and healthy woman is stricken with a "rare" blood disorder and dies. Walt's adopted father wants nothing to do with him, which completely clears the way for Michael to reenter the picture. In fact, Brian wants to get rid of Walt so bad that he flies to the US the DAY AFTER his wife dies to give Michael the tickets (yes, the fatefull tickets indeed!) to come get the kid. To what extent do Walt's "powers" come in to play? To the point where HE killed his mother? I don't think so. Maybe only to the extent that he freaked Brian out enough to want to get rid of him. Lastly, was this entire scenario so predetermined that Michael's wife was saving his letters ever since she split from him? No real reason for this, as she made it very clear that she thought Michael should not have any role in Walts life. I see the island as the end point for the many different paths of our casts lives. You see that for each person that survived the crash, their individual journeys to the island began long before they boarded the plane. And what about the original castaways (Ethan, Danielle, others?)? Are they the survivors of a previous group of LOSTers, or are they just the first arrivals of this group? Ah, yes, more food for thought.
  20. How about Hurley being the only character on the show not showing any type of weight loss? Dude, where are you getting the food?!? The scene with the dead bird...remember that Walt was trying to get his mom and Brians attention to show them a picture of a bird in the book, and they were both ignoring him? Then, wham, the same kind of bird he was looking at in the book smashes itself up against their patio door. I think Walt has the ability to create that which he is imagining, most likley in times of stress/anxiety. Loved the way Boone essentially told his "sister" to go f%$! herself. I am a bit bothered at how much Boone is looking like Locke's little B word, though. He just follows Locke around with those big puppy dog eyes. Though she didn't figure prominantly into last nights episode, I did appreciate the few scenes with Kate. Mmmmm...Kate. Liked what Charlie said to Sawyer..."You punch like a pansy." Little comment from last week...I have a feeling that the Korean dude can speak English too. Overall...another fascinating and compelling episode. Going to be tough waiting through two repeats for the next new one.
  21. Saw enough of a profile to notice that the baby is out. Now, WTF with a repeat next week?!?!?!
  22. Now that Hackett is gone, lets see if everyone in NY finally wakes up to the fact that Chad Pennington is NOT the next Joe Montana. He is nothing more than an average QB with an average arm. And a brittle QB at that. Hey Chad, how about making it through a season without getting injured. Next season is going to be very interesting for the Jets. I think 8-8 will be a great accomplishment for this Jets team next year.
  23. Dude...how funny was that guy?!? I bet they put him on TV and made him say that he was going to stick by his wife just so he wouldn't walk out on her the minute she stepped on that plane to CA.
  24. Is he actually tossing his floppy at me?
