I have this discussion with friends and coworkers all the time, and the opinions are generally split. My answer is no. I'm not saying that driving a race car isn't demanding, but I just don't consider driving a car in a circle for three hours an athletic feat. Just like I don't think jockeys are athletes either. Fire away my NASCAR-loving bretheren!

If this comes to pass, I will be VERY VERY happy. GO SABRES!

Cornell hockey rocks! Taking in a home game at Lynah Rink is an unforgetable experience. #4 in the country and on a roll!

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writ....qbs/index.html The line about not having a secondary threat to complement Moulds doesn't hold water for this past season. Evans quickly came on as a viable deep threat, giving the secondary some serious problems in having to cover both he and Moulds.

The reason that Sawyers dad killed his mother is because he found out that she had cheated on him with "Frank Sawyer," and that "Frank Sawyer" had bilked him out of all of his money. And after killing the mother, he sat on the kids bed and shot himself. "Frank Sawyer" was who our Sawyer thought he was killing. The thing about Locke's story was supposed to be a parallel to Sawyer having lost someone close to him. At first I thought it was going to be his mother, but after he heard the voices, and then last words of the guy he killed, I believe the boar represented the guilt he was carrying for killing an innocent man. The fact that he couldn't shoot the boar represented his making the right decision as opposed to the wrong decision (shooting someone) earlier. Interesting that Jack's father "inspired" him to actually do the shooting.

Oh, and I'm not sure if anyone here has heard this, but in real life, Charlie and Kate are dating.

It's been mentioned in previous episodes that she's somewhat of an expert outdoorsman. Knows how to track animals, etc.

Jeez...that's a real gem. I think the Bills COULD consider just about anyone they wanted.

I know what you're saying, but still, it really does have the appearance of him being purposely being kept from the press. Maybe he'll have his own press conference in a couple of days, after the dust settles a little.

What are the chances Drew doesn't play
duey replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't call it a prima-donna attitude. Some guys just don't want to go that route. Does anyone think that Jim Kelly would have ever been a backup? Of course not...he said so himself. I think Drew would rather sit out the year than be a backup. -
I am completely amazed that I have not seen a single quote from this guy regarding him being named the starter and Drew being released. Jeez...do the Bills have him chained to a desk in the tape room? I would have at least expected the standard, "I'm excited about the opportunity. I learned a lot from Drew and am sad to see him go. At the same time, I look forward to this new challange and responsibility, with my goal being to bring home a championship to the great fans of the Buffalo Bills."

I think that's what they're going to do. Lock him up, and then trade him. That way they get something for him instead of letting him walk for free.

Yeah, I can't a lack of bathroom etiquette. How about the guy that comes in, sits right next to you, grunts like he's giving birth, and then sits there for 20 minutes in his own stink reading the entire NY Times. And am I the only one who stares in disbelief at the guys openly carrying reading material into the bathroom. Why not just advertise the fact that you're going in to take a sh--, and that you are going to be spending some time in there getting caught up on the days news. Dopes. -
No offense to your friend, but that really is a pretty stupid theory. If you want some back info on the series, and have a lot of time, do a search on this board for all the treads about the show. We have some pretty in-depth discussions following each episode.

Yeah...I believe he died of drink. The show is incredibly well written. The way everyones story lines tie together is very Stephen Kingish (this was discussed here previously). I love that stuff. When Jack mentioned the Red Sox thing near the end of the show, I got goose bumbs. Does anyone else think that we are going to be blown away when we find out Hurleys story? I feel like its being purposefully held back. Plus, he's made out to be such a caring and supportive guy...makes me think he may have the most baggage of anyone.

Hmmm...right you are. Well, it was from Friends to something else, I just remember what. Too many ales me thinks.

I think the way they have been portraying the socialization aspect is more right on then you might think. The main characters have formed their own clique, if you will. If you watch the background shots when other are around, they tend to cluster some of the others together as well. The tie in with Sawyer and Jack's father was pretty cool. Unfortunately, I don't think Jack is going to find out because his dad is essentially the reason why Sawyer went back and killed that guy. Kate was looking incredibly hot last night. Claire was too, don't get me wrong. But damn, Kate is da bomb! Locke is great! The way he just showed up, sat down, and told his story that amazingly paralleled Sawyers issue was really cool. I don't think that Locke is running the island though...I think Locke was given a gift by the island, and now he has been tasked in this role as a repayment for that gift. Another great episode last night! The fastest hour on television (63 minutes actually).

Having shows run past their expected end times is becoming practice. My guess is that the reason for this is that this might keep the viewer from switching to the next show on another network. You stay with ABC, for instance, until 9:03 for instance, and then maybe switch over to Fox. In those first few minutes, you've missed the beginning of that episode, and chances are, it is now in its first run of commercials. You might then switch back to ABC because there is content there, not commercials. I noticed this practice first last year with Friends, because by the time an episode was over, I had missed the first few minutes of American Idol.

Thanks Drew. Thank you for giving it all you had. A lot of times, it wasn't good enough, but no one can say that you didn't try your best for your team and for us fans. I hope you find success and happiness at your next stop. Thanks again Drew.

Can you just imagine playing Drew twice a year with our defense?!?!? Talk about leading the lamb to slaughter. He might leave those games on a stretcher, for Gods sake.

Michael Jacko Wacko taken to Hospital
duey replied to OnTheRocks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Any chance one of those killer nurses works at that hospital? Please?
