Summer Vacation...where are you planning on going?
duey replied to Hardy Pyle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dude...love the Outer Banks! Have vacationed many times in Kill Devil Hills/Kitty Hawk. Love that area down there, though the beaches have been beat up pretty bad over the years by all the storms. -
The stadium deal is far from done, regardless of what that arrogant POS Bloomberg says. Cablevisons lawsuit is going to be the first of many...just wait for the west side residents to file theirs. This thing is going nowhere, and once NYC loses the Olympic bid (which is going to happen, IMHO), the stadium will be dead.

Sheesh...quite the emotional episode last night. Once it became apparent that the baby was going to be born last night, Boone's death became a sure thing for me. A few thoughts and observations... Bringing in Jack's wife raised a number of questions (as noted through this tread)...primarily, what happened to her? She definitely was not the person that Jack's father f'ed up on, though. Jin was cracking me up last night...I agree with the point raised earlier that his stock is rising. In fact, given his run in with Sun last night, he may have second thoughts about getting on that raft. Sawyer was surprisingly helpful (with the alcohol) and happy (about the baby) last night. Which probably means we're going to get some classic Sawyer in the next episode. I thought the scene on the beach with Claire bringing out the baby, and then Sayid/Shannon walking up, was great. No words...just music, with the waves breaking in the background. Visually arresting. Boone dying pretty much takes care of that issue Shannon brought up to Sayid, unless of course she becomes consumed with guilt over how sh------- she treated him. The preview showed Sayid raising a gun, and then Locke looking like he had been shot. As we know, previews are meant to mislead. I personally don't think that Locke will be a bad guy for more than the next episode. My guess is that Sayid is raising the gun against either Danielle or one of "the others," and that it is one of those outsiders that shoots Locke (related to his quest to get into the hatch). Overall...a pretty solid episode. We're kind of expecting each episode to leave us hanging with many questions and leading to big things the next week. Last nights episode wrapped up two big on-going storylines. The only thing really left for another episode is Jack going after Locke.

My thought exactly...the island giveth life, and the island taketh life away.

I just hate this guy. Check out todays all important factoid... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writ...lbag/index.html My question is this...he refers to his daughter Laura as "a senior Jumbo." Does this means she's a big fat ass like him?

September 1985...Giants Stadium against the Jets. Bills opening drive results in a field goal...Jets go on to score the next 42 points. Lean days indeed. Still loved my team though, despite the stellar leadership at QB of Dufek, Mathison and Ferragamo.

That's pretty amazing. As excited as I am about the JP-era, it's all speculation at this point. At least Ben has shown his stuff on the NFL field.

That's pretty much me in a nutshell. Thank goodness he didn't leave his home in Essex County, or we would have had to hear about one or more of the following: - A story about the nice lady at American Airlines who bumped everyone out of first class so he could sit alone in his boxers eating Twinkies; - A story about all the people on the plane who recognized him as the mega-star that he is; - His insightful opinion regarding the pros and cons of the Embraer 145 Regional Jet; and/or, - A tie-in story about what a lovely time he had taking Mary Beth back to school. And yet...I go back week after week.

From todays column... #1. I think John Paul II was a darn fine Pope, and we'll miss him. (Yes folks...Peter King gets paid to write these things...and he does a darn fine job to boot). #2. This just in ... Randy Johnson's pretty good. (I am now taking numbers to kick this guys ass). #3. I think, 19 days before the draft, the biggest flux team is Miami. No question. The Dolphins want to move out of the No. 2 pick and will have trouble finding a partner to swap with. (Oooh...a football thought?!? WTF?!?). #4. I think Ty Law will end up with the Jets. (Hmmm...that could be annoying). http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writ.../mmqb.steroids/

In my living room, by myself, and dying a slow death. By the time the game was over, I was completely soaked in sweat, so hoarse from screaming that I couldn't speaking, and fielding phone calls from just about everyone who knew I was a Bills fan.

Ah yes...lose an hour. How wonderful.

Did anyone happen to scroll down further in that link and see this nugget? Now we know its bunk! Cowboys QB Drew Bledsoe's mobility is improving; he recently ran the 40 in 6.4 seconds.

Does the diner serve good pie? I love pie...especially good pie. -
Has anyone else here ever driven by Mr. Perdue's Salisbury, MD processing facility. Sweet fancy Moses!!!! That !@#$ing place stunk to high heaven! It hit you about a mile before you got there, depending on which way the wind was blowing.

Well, I know nothing about all that...I just know that I saw a rocking show last night.

I saw the Eagles last night at the Meadowlands...damn! What a great show! I was never a huge Eagles fan...liked some of their songs over the years, but never bought any albums. Wow! These guys were great! Did all the big Eagles hits, plus Glen Frey, Don Hendley and Joe Walsh each did their big solo hits. I always loved Joe, and he was great last night! What a guitarist! If anyone has a chance to see these guys...go...what a great night of music!

BTW...where the hell is stevestojan? This boy is always all over this Lost thread. Got a message from him last night about right after the Locke dream sequence, and then...nothing. Maybe it was all too much for him.

Dude...this show is on the internet...on all these freaking bb's where tools like us discuss each freaking clue and hint for days. I have never been so engrossed in a television show. Sure, I have been a faithful watch of many a show, but never have I delved this deeply into each episode, hoping to pick up apart each and every nuance in the hopes of piecing together some minute aspect of the overall meaning and direction show. Thank you LOST...thank you.

The level of detail included in each episode is staggering, and it is a testiment to the maniacal nature of us LOST fans that we will continue to post day after day with each little bit of info we can extract from each episode. Anyone think Boone dies, is buried, and pulls a Pet Semetary? (shudder) Nah, that would be a touch too cheesy. I liked Hurley's lone line last night..."Dude...you look like someone steamrolled Harry Potter." I liked Jin bitching out Michael...the whole interaction between those two is pretty funny. How would you like to be one of those peripheral survivors that is just constantly doing busy work in the background, or wandering aimlessly on the beach.

Hmmm...about 1 lb., 3 oz's. Guess that's the small one, huh?

Specifically... "All the board members are appointed by Gov. George Pataki and confirmed by the state Senate. Mayor Michael Bloomberg recommends four voting members, Pataki picks six and the county executives of seven counties recommend the others. Organized labor and transit rider groups recommend six nonvoting members." http://wcbs880.com/topstories/local_story_089101607.html
