  1. Wow...interesting. I have a feeling that we will be teased by stuff like this all summer. It's cool that the creators of the show are willing to go to these lengths to feed us tid bits and food for speculation.
  2. I think those messages are what people wrote on those notes that were placed in the bottle and taken onto the raft.
  3. Nice! Thanks for the link and the heads up. Pretty interesting stuff in there if you polk around.
  4. Allow me to be the first in this tread to say...DOOMED!
  5. Mmmmm...I love Kate. Have I mentioned that recently? http://us.tv1.yimg.com/tv.yahoo.com/images...lilly/lost4.jpg
  6. NFL | Police & Courts: Todd Marinovich - from www.KFFL.com Thu, 26 May 2005 12:59:36 -0700 The Associated Press reports former NFL QB Todd Marinovich was arrested Friday, May 20, for being found in a public bathroom with apparent drug paraphernalia in Newport Beach, Calif. After a police officer found Marinovich in the bathroom with a bent spoon and syringe, the former first-round pick fled on bicycle but was arrested 15 blocks away. Marinovich was being held in an Orange County jail for investigation for a violation of his probation pending a drug court hearing. http://www.kffl.com/hotw/NFL I will never forget the arrogance of his father talking about how he put a football in his crib when Todd was a baby. Nice job douchbag...maybe you should have made sure he wasn't traumatized by all the pressure you put on him rather than planning for him to be your retirement ticket. It also kills me that this loser came into Buffalo and got one of his few wins in our stadium.
  7. That's exactly what I was thinking. I bet it gets pretty darn lonely over on the other side of the island.
  8. As discussed a number of times (just in this thread alone), the music is so well done, and adds so much to the show. I liked the music at the end when they were showing everyone on the plane.
  9. Now one has brought up this exchange, which I thought was great... As Locke is extracting the sticks of dynamite from the box, he asks Jack if he's ever played the game "Operation." He then says that he always blew it by hitting the funnybone, and then makes a buzzing sound that scared the hell out of Jack. Obviously peeved, Jack asks him if he likes to play games, to which Locke replies "Yes." A great exchange between these two pivotal characters. And does everyone else crack up when they see Sawyer in his reading glasses?
  10. Well, don't dismiss that theory completely. You only heard the one person speak, and who's to say that it wasn't a crew of mixed nationality.
  11. I'm surprised that they didn't have a bit longer of a shoot out. One shot each, and both were hits if I'm not mistaken, and that was it. The spokesman for the Others sounded like a rube.
  12. What makes you think they're even on this planet? Or in this dimension?
  13. asked the life-long star trek fan.
  14. Hey, some good news (IMHO) regarding next season. It was announced last week that the show would be starting at 9 pm next season. For me, with kids, that works out so much better.
  15. Obviously not critical, or even complementary, to the storyline. Fluff indeed.
  16. Damn it! Damn it all to hell! I am crushed beyond words! Good catch, actually.
  17. He had said earlier in the offseason that he would be back. Interesting, though.
  18. Thanks for posting the lyrics...you certainly can draw a lot of parallels with whats been going on. Atomic energy...?
  19. No...didn't Jack recognize Charlie's signs of withdrawl?
  20. I'm very much hoping that he did not take the H...just the statue. His fall prey to his addiction would be somewhat predictable, and this show is def not predictable. Maybe he brought just the statue for Claire?
  21. A big THANKS to Nervous Guy for pinning this thread. Now it will always be easy to find and available for discussion during the inevitable summer repeats.
  22. That possibility has been discussed here...I just don't think any of us want to believe that it could just be a dream.
  23. Oh, I agree. And you're right...I didn't heed his warning about reading on. I guess I thought I was going to be a bit more bizarre than that. Still some seriously great reading though.
