Give me 26 carries for 124 and 2 TDs and I will be VERY happy...and that's with a win of course.

Come on guys! Get voting! Only 32 behind!

Martha Burk complaining about NHL ads...
duey replied to Ramius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Apparently so does Ramius. -
You know, I had a very strong feeling that we were going to get stomped last week. And I have a similarly strong feeling that we're going to win this week. Bills 17 Birds 10

Candy for the ex-Bills player haters!

Hmmm...that's a pretty good team. -
We should have stuck with Flutie...

I only have a few minutes now to give some thoughts...more later. What a great start to the show! You have no idea what the hell is going on? I figured it was a back story, maybe of Sawyer. Then you see the tunnel and the hatch and you realize that it is real time and that its some other guy! Wow! Seeing Walt was totally freaky...props to those who figured out he was speaking backwards. He is no doubt referring to the EXECUTE key on the keyboard. Did anyone notice that the blinking icon is a unhappy face? ):| I do believe that the material Desmond was injecting was a vaccine of some sort...or perhaps its a mild sedative to keep him from hearing the voices and going insane? Locke has def lost it. I believe he couldn't give a rats ass about anyone else at this point, and it totally focused on his own goals. I think he got to this point when Boone bought it. The miracle with Sarah gave me goosebumps. Obviously, Desmond was in the know some how, which makes you think about how far in advance peoples fates were being predetermined. Think about Locke and how he got there, and now what we know about Jack. Desmond also said that he was training to run around the world...doesn't look like he made it all the way. My guess is that the underground facility was a research facility of some kind. The equipment in that dome room def dates back to the late mid to late 80's, as do the things in the bedroom. Danielle had been on the island for 16 years. How does Desmond fit in there. I would guess that Jack and Sarah married, say, two years post accident. And then figure another couple of years for that to end, and then another year or two until the crash? Six years that Desmond has been there. Might be a bit more, though. Overall...great ep. Very excited about the show being back and how things have gotten started.

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with that!

Five blades?!? I'm there! No joke, though. That vibrating thang really does the trick for duey's beard. Nothing else works. So if Gillette is coming out with a 5-blader, I better start saving 'cause Mrs. duey does not like stubble!

The NeW York City area viewing options are always a crapshoot. With the Giants playing Sunday night, we actually get a break (though not Bills-related): 1 pm CBS Jacksonville at the Jets 4 pm CBS Pats at Pittsburgh 4 pm FOX Boys and 49ers Thank God they gave us the decent late game.

I really liked Earl, and continue to think that The Office is just a bit over the top.

Dude! I've got one of those and am a huge fan of its many uses!

The anticipation is killing me! So...does anyone think that tongight we will actually see what the heck is down that hatch?
-
And you can bet your ass the unions will find something wrong with those concepts.

UConn...some solid thoughts and theories. I sure hope that we get some of those glaring backstory holes filled this season. There is the Locke gap (VW through paralysis), Jacks wife (before he met her and after they got married), Jacks dad (some general holes here), Kate and her dad (we've gotten nothing here), Kate and her mom (harking back to her mom freaking out at the hospital), and I think we need to know more about Boone and Shannon. Any others? Oh, and had anyone seen this little synopsis from the network website... Next Episode: SEASON PREMIERE Wednesday, Sept. 21, 9/8c "Man of Science, Man of Faith" In the season premiere, one of the castaways is chosen to descend into the mysterious hatch, and Shannon stumbles upon a shockingly familiar face in the jungle. Me thinks Boone returns in ghost form, perhaps as a force against what the island is trying to do.

There was a substantial discussion of this topic back after the original airing. It was always my belief that Locke crashed his car, likely on purpose, and the resulting injuries included his being parallyzed. And I don't believe that Locke's father, whom he had visited before this assumed car accident, lived in the same area as Jack and his father, so that could squash that theory. Although...remember that Jack saved his wife's life following a car accident? Wouldn't it be interesting if her accident had involved being hit by a red VW Beetle? Someone clear up this location issue for me, please.

Chad's arm was noticeably weak yesterday. The Jets have a real issue to deal with there. Honestly...Gus shouldn't be blamed for most of the issues your O had yesterday. I htink it was more that your WRs had the droppsies and the oline couldn't open holes or offer much pass protection. Stay on the Gus Bus...it's a better option than Mr. Feeley or the Great Sage.

I posting the same thing in the Lost thread dude...but it bears repeating. Both the Jets and the Fish looked positively gruesome yesterday. I am very happy that my fatherinlaw doesn't make me pay for my ticket! I do like that little dude you have returning kicks...he's about 4 ft tall and speedy has hell.
-
Hey...that's a good point. I was at the Jets game yesterday, and while the Fins Oline wasn't exactly opening up breaks in the levee, Brown did little to help his cause. He does juke around a lot, I did see that.
-
Had me scared that the Lost thread got dumped, but I quickly recovered and found the new OT forum. I think it's a fine idea, though I think its going to take some time for people of get used to using it.

Dude...that was one of the most God-awful displays of "football" as I've seen in a very long time. Neither team really deserved to win. If you guys had a decent QB, you could have picked the Jets apart. Similarly, had the Jets had a better QB then Average Chad, they would have crushed the Fish. A great day to be outdoors...a very tough game to have to sit through in a place where beer is $7 a cup. Day after tomorrow we start it all over again!

I expected JP to lose his first away game
duey replied to Nick in RaChaCha's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How can anyone be pumped up about a garbage-time drive that would have little impact on the game had they been able to score. Game over...we lost. Start planning for Atlanta. -
I agree. While not the sole reason for the loss, obviously, one would have to factor the extreme heat and humidity into the team wearing down much quicker.
-
Yeah...I don't get this. All I hear about is how hard it is for Giant fans to get tickets to see their team. So here's a great opportunity for them to get in to an extra home game, and no one is going. Dopes.
