  1. A good point. That is a VERY good number, especially given how inept the passing game was.
  2. Second year quarterback J.P. Losman has shown the ability to move the offense into scoring position. Losman finished with 75 yards on 10 of 23 passes, but led the Bills on four scoring drives. The Bills took the game's opening drive 50 yards on 13 plays as the Bills took a 3-0 lead. Losman and the Bills moved the ball 57 yards on nine plays to set up a field goal on their second drive. During their third drive of the half, Losman made a crucial 17-yard third down conversion to Josh Reed which led to a Willis McGahee touchdown run five plays later. Losman extended his streak of passes without an interception to 75 until Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall picked off a fourth quarter pass. Losman did make use of his running ability by totaling 20 yards on five carries. He tied a career-high with a 19-yard rush helping to set-up the opening field goal. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/news.jsp?news_id=3412 See...I knew none of us knew what we saw or what we are talking about. JP is doing fine. No worries...none at all.
  3. I kind of think that if JP shows absolutely no progress this week, Holcomb will be starting against Miami.
  4. What about the Jets approaching SD for Phillip Rivers? If they don't think they need a new QB for the future, they're living in denial. Offer SD next years one, and see what happens. I can't see the Jets losing enough games to win the Leinart lottery, so here's a way for them to get a highly rated rookie in mid-season. Is SD willing to let him go now, or are they still trying to figure out if Drew Brees is the real thing.
  5. I do like the use of the term "dillweed," though.
  6. That might only help our passing game is they don't replace him on the field...
  7. WE'VE GOT A BILLS FAN HERE IN NEW JERSEY AND HE WANTS TO YANK LOSMAN. From Joe Costabile Jr. of Laurence Harbor, N.J.: "J.P. Losman is killing the Bills. Two horrible games in a row. Has the Kelly Holcomb watch begun yet? If it wasn't for Willis McGahee on Sunday, the Bills would have been blown out of the water. Maybe they should have kept Drew Bledsoe another year instead of giving him the gate.'' There's always a learning curve for a young quarterback, so be a little patient with Losman. That said, I also think on a team with a playoff defense you can't afford to keep him in for development's sake while the season is sacrificed. I think Mike Mularkey, the Bills coach, is walking a fine line on this one. I think two more lousy games and Mularkey will yank his young quarterback.[ http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writ...7/mmqbte/1.html Is Joe Costabile Jr. of Lawrence Harbor, NJ anyone we know?
  8. I wonder if this guy is still available? http://cgi.ebay.com/George-Cumby-autograph...1QQcmdZViewItem Keeping it light folks. But honestly...does anyone even remember this guy?!?! Here are his career stats for those few out there who have forgotten about the great Cumbinator. http://www.jt-sw.com/football/pro/players.nsf/ID/06170142

  10. No joke...I once heard that he owns (and works at) a deli on Long Island. Can you imagine having Vinnie slice you a pound of ham? "Hey Vinnie...could you cut that a little thinner? And make my sandwhich with extra mayo!"
  11. Excellent surge Bills fans! Bills 3723 51% Chefs 3535 49% Keep clearing that cache and revoting!
  12. Ouch...you're right of course.
  13. I'd like to see Jim brought in to give JP some guidance. Jim is the kind of player and the kind of man that could only have a positive influence on him.
  14. I completely agree. The man was a genius.
  15. Wow...what a differnce two weeks makes. The day after the Texans game, we were all pretty happy...though acknowledging that JP needed some work getting the ball into the endzone. The D was a terror and we looked like things were going as we all had hoped. Two weeks later JP has regressed (or come back to reality) worse than anyone could have imagined, and the D is now terribly damaged and on the ropes. What do we do? If JP doesn't improve next week against the Saints, I say we sit him for a couple of games to clear his head and let him watch Holcomb try to get things done. The D is a tough one...just plug Crowell in there and hope for the best, while at the same time try to figure out exactly why we can't stop the run (apart from the fact that Phat Pat is no longer parked in the middle). (sigh) Let's hang in there folks. It's a long season...and sure, it could easily become a VERY long season, but let's hope things can turn around in the next couple of weeks.
  16. Rumor has it that he was speaking on his shoe phone while driving and crashed. Should have been hands...foot(?) free. Get Smart will always be one of my all time favorite show...."Missed it by THAT much!"
  17. As of 10:29 pm ET... Buffalo 2638 - 51% KC 2502 - 49% Go Bills!

  19. Up by 34 by the way!
  20. Actually, if you really are hardcore about this, you can sit and clean out your cache, and then revote.
  21. Last months Esquire had an interview with him. He's got a blonde, vollyball-playing girl who is, of course, hot as hell.
