The good news...the hiring makes ESPN.com's front page. http://espn.go.com/ The bad news...the program gets dissed at the same time. (see Good Call?) Can't say the criticism is unfair. Let's hope he can bring the program up to a respectable level.

I can't begrudge him the press he gets because the deserves it. It's the peripheral Patsy press that makes me ill (see Bruschi coverage).

yeah...maybe...but I still see the Fish having no QB and slowly screwing themselves out of a high draft pick. Plus they have an aging defense to boot. There's lots of problems to go around.

He was an offensive assistant while at Nebraska, inlcuding their QB coach, and this will hopefully translate into the development of the UB offense. Plus, he is a nationally known name who apparently has a strong recruiting background. Well done UB...well done! And kudos for getting this done so quickly.

UB received 7 votes in this weeks ESPN/USAToday poll, where it had not received any last week. The AP poll, where UB received the one vote last week, is not out yet. Go Bulls!

Look, do I like the guy and feel badly for him? Yes. But he's been sensing his own football mortality, and as a result, he has gotten impatient this year. I don't want him to be suspended, and I would like him to suck it up and give it his best the rest of the year. I don't want this to be the way he ends his Bills career.

I'm sure it didn't help EM that he was probably the most vocal veteran voice in support of JP's benching.

The Patriots have won 13 of their last 14 AFC East games. Since the 2001 season, the Patriots are 23-6 in the division. The Jets rank second during that same period at 14-15. Miami is 13-17 and the Bills 10-20.
