Thanks for putting this thread back on track...a great day for UB and all UB alum (especially those who braved the elements and 50 year-old wooden bleachers at the old Main Street stadium).

Did the idea of just enjoying your season, as we are ours, ever cross your mind? There's plenty of success to go around this year, and should we meet in the MAC Championship, each team will get a bowl bid, regardless of the outcome...a feat each team (and its fans) should and will be proud of.

Speaking of dumb management...all three heads of the Big 3 flew on private jets to Washington...and they got called on the carpet for it. One GM spokesman indicated that this was standard corporate policy and is done for "safety reasons." WTF?! Is it that they fear flying commercial because it's unsafe...or are they afraid of being ID'd and attacked for making crappy cars?

I'm right there with ya PTR. This is some seriously exciting shite going on right here. Tomorrow night's game is huge, though I do think there's a good shot of them getting a bowl bid if the lose and then win at home against Kent. But to win the MAC East and play in the MAC Championship game, and then a bowl, to unbelievable to believe! This program has come a long way since those tough games against hated cross-town rival Buff State!

The 1986 Jets began the season 10-1, and then lost all their remaining games. They did make the playoffs, however, first beating KC and then losing in double overtime (yes Donovan...there's that word again) to the Kosars in the game that featured Hall of Fame headcase Mark Gastineau laying some late lumber on Bernie that helped the Browns move in for the tying field goal.

CNNSI's resident college football expert did his 2008 bowl projections, and I was VERY happy to see that he has UB playing Hawaii in the Hawaii Bowl on Christmas Eve (he has UB as a replacement for a conference without enough bowl eligible teams...in this case the PAC10 No. 6). Of course, we need our Bulls to keep up the solid play and I think win at least two out of the last three (winning out would pretty much assure them of a bowl game). Ray Bentley was really talking up the pro potential of those guys. We're definitely going to lose Willy as he is a senior, but rest of them are either Jr's (Starks, Roosevelt) or So's. I hope Starks and Roosevelt stick around, though with Willy leaving, if they continue to have great years this might be their time to go too.
