  1. Injury issue aside, I think that Turner Gill wants his starters to be sharp for next weeks Championship game. I think he'll start sitting guys after halftime.
  2. Ohhhhh mmyyyyy.
  3. Don't know about Europe, but here in the states and Canada, the game will be on ESPN2. And I will be watching this game (assuming UB is in it) rather than the competing NFL game!
  4. I bet they keep USF out of the mix due to distance. UB vs. any of the other three will get a full house of fans from both teams. I would love to make the trip myself...not likely to happen though.
  5. $750,000...nice little Christmas present for a program that was the nations worst just three years ago.
  6. Even better than all of this is when I see a "weight-challanged" individual parking in a handicap parking spot just because they're so damn fat that they can't/won't walk any more. Yes ladies and gentlemen...being fat is also considered a handicap.
  7. FYI...for 2007 (the most recent year I could find), UB's enrollment was over 28,000. That seems fairly significant to me. And dude...why are you spending so much time belittling the UB program? Ball State isn't exactly a national sports power either. If I were you, I'd be worrying more about tonights game than trying to convince everyone what an insignificant school UB is.
  8. Follow link to the free download of Night Enchanted, the first song "released" off of the much awaited Night Castle album. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001L28KEY?utm_so...optonline%2Enet I've heard that they're also playing this at their shows this year. Enjoy!
  9. It would be kind of ironic that the first bowl game the Bulls go to might be in the same place the Bills played for the first time just a few weeks prior. Funny how things can work out.
  10. I saw the updated bowl projects on the ESPN site and couldn't understand why they had UB still going to either Hawaii or Vegas. Glad I'm not the only one who saw that. Good summary of how things might work out.
  11. I understand your point...but let me ask you this...which conference do you think is the stronger conference right now...the MAC or the Big East? I think the Big East continues to be in shambles, while I think the MAC continues to grow in strength and national respect. I'm only taking about football of course, and I do understand the fact that the Big East is BCS and the MAC is not, but I think the top four or five teams in the MAC are right up there or better than the same number from the Big East.
  12. Excellent post Lori. He's definitely a hot coaching prospect, but something tells me (ala PTR's posts) that Gill doesn't see his job as being done here at UB. I think (and hope!) that he sticks around for a while and really builds this program into a consistent winner (years of his recruiting will make that so).
  13. You just can't wait to get UB out of the MAC we scare you that much! I like your ambitious vision for the conference, but with that many schools, there would have to be a Big East East and West. And I don't think Penn State would ever leave the Big 10. I think a more reasonable plan is to add a few more eastern region schools and go from there. The Big East def needs a makeover though, that's for sure.
  14. There have been a couple other threads over the weekend about the OTL piece...a wonderful story to be sure. And the MAC Championship game will be played in Detroit (as it always is) on December 5, with the game being on ESPN2.
  15. I have long harbored the thought (fantasy until as of late) that UB would and the Big East would make a great fit. First, you would have a great naturally rivalry with SU, and then as Lv pointed out, you have the regional connection with the other conference schools (safe for USF). If the program can continue at a consistent level of respectability and success for the next five years or so, then I think that this idea could become a reality.
  16. Turner Gill will get many coaching opportunities in the future (I hope he takes none of them and continues to build this program). He does not have to jump on the SU job...he def can do better. The SU program is in shambles, the Big East conference has become a joke since Miami and WV left, and I agree with a previous post...moving to SU would be a lateral move at best. It is in no way a step up...BCS conference or not. I think he stays for a while...this team is packed with good young talent, making the future look very bright indeed.
  17. Richards actually started the season opener for the Colts and has played quite a bit so far this season. So has Raiders rookie TE Trevor Scott, another UB alum taken in this years draft.
  18. Here's an article about this troubles today... http://www.star-telegram.com/332/story/1055116.html And note it mentions that Nate gets our own #83 next week.

    I just checked the RPI...UB is #46! Un-bull-ievable!

    UB

Great win by 'Cuse! I hate ND. Did you see how friggin' excited Robinson was?
  21. I wouldn't want them to take that game off campus. Let the student body be able to walk there...and fill the place!
  22. A great win for SU...and it's all so much sweeter because it's against the Irish.
  23. As great as the Hawaii Bowl would be, I think they will have to go to one of the MAC bowls...like that's a bad thing.
