Take a look at the results of the last six top draft picks for the Fish: 1999 - 1st rounder traded to SF to trade-down 2000 - 1st rounder traded to Carolina in 1998 trade-up 2001 - Jamar Fletcher (CB), traded to SD after three disappointing seasons 2002 - 1st rounder traded to NO as part of Ricky Williams deal 2003 - 1st rounder traded to NO as part of Ricky Williams deal 2004 - Vernon Carey (G/T) Is it any wonder that this team is completely depleted of quality depth at so many positions?!?!? What an unbelievable draft record. As a comparision, the Bills are as follows: 1999 - Antoine Winfield (good return on pick, though he is no longer here) 2000 - Erik Flowers :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: 2001 - Nate Clements (good return on pick) 2002 - Mike Williams (I think he'll work out) 2003 - Willis ( ) 2004 - Lee Evans and JP With the exception of Flowers ( :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: ), I'm thinking we're not looking too bad here. Probably better than a lot of other teams.

Being the eternal optimist, I see 4-2 or 5-1 as being quite achievable down the stretch. What I see as being possible... at SEA - W at MIA - W Cleve - W at Cin - L at SF - W Pitt - L Today and at Cincinnati are swing games...could go either way. Fingers are crossed and gunning for respectability!

I agree with that. Anything over 15 is good with me. For a while there, it looked like Dallas was going to get rich off of us, but now, it looks like there own #1 is going to be the higher of the two.

Hey Sue...cut the guy some slack. I recently saw a piece on him...he's getting over the loss of a child, and he knows he was at times a POS. He just wanted a chance to contribute to some team because he feels he still has the physical tools to play well. And let me tell you...to this day, I've rarely seen a QB with a cannon of an arm like Jeff George. From the day he came out of college, I have always marveled at this mans ability to throw the ball. Good for him that someone is giving him a chance.
