As I pointed out on the board yesterday, you won't get a single Yankee fan to acknowledge what a joke the Giambi situation is, yet they can bust the Mets for signing a guy who has NATURAL talent, not talent created by a chemical company.

Just because these guys, especially Peter King, Don Banks and Dr. Z are such arrogant blowhards, I needed to point out that all three of them got only 1 out of 4 games right. This again proves that guys who profess to be "experts" are nothing more than dudes like us who are lucky enough to work as sports writers.

No...it has nothing to do with that. It's just we're tired of the incessant slanted view of baseball that is put forth by Yankee fans. It is the Yankee fans right to expect that any and all free agent will want to, in fact, must sign with their team. If that person is either not pursued by the Yankees, or even worse, decides that they don't want to sign with the Yankees, then that player is a loser POS. I don't begrudge the Yankees and their past success...I just dispise the Yankee fans for their narrow-minded view of baseball and their inability to objectively view the actions of others. The fact that not one Yankee fan on this board has acknowledged the fact that the Giambi deal EXCEEDS the Beltran deal is proof of this.

Any Yankee fan that feels it appropriate to bust on the Mets for this deal, be reminded of the Giambi deal...7 years, $120 million. Hey Yankee fans...how did that work out for you?!?!? At least the Mets are blowing the load on a steroid sucking loser. Well done New York Mets...Carlos Delgado is on deck!

Oh...hadn't you heard? The Jets fans now believe that nothing stands in their way from getting to the Super Bowl, where they will have an easy time of an obviously inferior NFC team. It's going to be a long week listening/reading/seeing the NY press.

I love the Yankee fans perspective on the pursuit of free agents. The Yankees are always right when they overpay to get someone, yet when someone else is dropping serious coin on a free agent, the Yankees wouldn't have wanted them, they would have sucked, and that team sucks. I do know one thing...Travis Henry has a very funny looking head. So...in a head-to-head comparison, I'd have to give the nod to Shaud.

This guys career has been pretty disappointing, so you can hardly blame him for acting a jackass. That will probably end up being the highpoint of his career.
