  1. This thread is way !@#$ed up right here. 'Lil John" WHAT?!?! YEAH!!!! WHAT?!?! YEAH!!!
  2. This whole thing could only have upside for the Bills. Go get 'em Hadley!
  3. That's a point I meant to bring up earlier...I have to applaud the writers of this show. Thank you for making Lost such a departure from the usual primetime fare we're being subjected to. Now, I would like to introduce the John Locke philosophy angle to the Drew vs. JP discussion...JUST KIDDING! And again regarding the "monster," if you can have a tropical island supporting a number of huge polar bears (yeah, I remember how they got there), then why can't there be some sort of Jurassic Park reject living there too? Just food for thought.
  4. I don't know about that...remember the pilot? Kate, Jack and Charlie all saw something snatch up the pilot and do nasty to him. I think the fact that no one knows what the hell it is is part of the mystery of the island. There's something there alright (sounds like Godzilla, right!?!). The island did, however, use Boone's fear of this beast as the mechanism to have Shannon "killed."
  5. The entire John Locke analysis in this thread is fascinating...well done boys. I bet you could find a tread on either the Jets or Fins boards that are half as intelligent as this one. And I don't blame Boone for one moment for wanting, and getting, to bang Shannon. She's a definite hottie (though with her attitude, I wasn't all that upset that she had died). Imagine poor Boone's teen years with that one running around.
  6. I think that was real...just another way she manipulated him so she would get what she wanted. I don't think he'll kill her...I just think he going to tell her to f%#! off.
  7. Tonights episode was fantastic! So much stuff to talk about! First of all, there is no doubt that Locke has become part of what the island is. In fact, he is a facilitator for the things that the island does to people. I had a feeling that whole thing with Shannon getting chomped on was in Boone's head, but I liked it when Locke said, "It made you see THAT?" What a great story line! And how about Shannon sleeping with Boone! Like my wife said..."A little strange...and a little erotic!" Nice to see Sawyer as he was dragged through the police station...there's def more on that to come. How about when Hurley stepped on the sea urchin, and then is telling the Korean guy to pee on it! I just about pissed myself when Hurley was pointed to the guys groin, and the Korean guy was like WTF?!?!? I'm waiting for Claire to resurface...it's been a couple of days as they said tonight. The compass being f'ed up is another indication that this island just ain't right. Lastly...Locke is da man!
  8. Look at the size of those freaking engines!!!! Holy crap!
  9. On the first quotation...excellent, excellent point. And there was also the possibility that had you owned guns, and not locked them up, they would have been stolen as well. Now they're on the street, either being played with or being sold to God knows who. On the second quotation...WHY does DC Tom keep his gun on his nightstand? And on the last quotation...regarding the Columbine shooters' parents...it was very apparent that they had no freaking idea what their kids were up to...no clue whatsoever. The kids had locks on their rooms that the parents didn't have keys to...and that didn't concern them?!?!
  10. While I won't admit that my example was TERRIBLE, I do agree that yours is much better.
  11. Why is it a bad thing for a gun owner to store his weapons in a safe manner...in such a way that children are not able to gain access to them. Explain to me why THAT is so ridiculous. And quite frankly, since you brought up the driving example...if I were to go out in my car and blow a redlight and kill someone because I was talking on my cell phone or chaning the CD, I would most certainly be charged with vehicular manslaughter. I didn't mean to kill someone, but I because I did I have to bear resonsibility for my actions. Just as a gun owner should bear responsibility for the use (by anyone) of his firearms.
  12. It's amazing how many kickers in this league have big freaking mouths. Dumbasses.
  13. Oh, come on, how often does THAT happen?!?! And who's to say that if the father's gun didn't have a lock on it, one of the kids wouldn't have already shot someone with it. I'm all for the right to bear arms, but gun safety has to be first and foremost to those gun owners.
  14. Look, those kids were obviously in love. Don't be so hard on him.
  15. Honestly, how many of us live somewhere where it is prudent to keep a loaded fire arm handy? And sure, sh-- happens everywhere, but the chance of you needing that loaded firearm vs. the chance your kid will find it? It's just not worth it.
  16. How could he have left a LOADED firearm where anyone could get at it?!?
  17. I was SURE that link was going to lead to the pixy website!
  18. Well, that's it exactly. Just as with George Young, unfortunately they LOVE handing these things out posthumously. Makes it all so much more emotional, you know.
  19. 1. Lost 2. Scrubs 3. Two Add A Half Men 4. Chappelle Show 5. Still Standing
  20. Of course, but is he better for being in NY? Arizona sure is a quiet little town compared to the Big Apple.
  21. Yeah, and wait until the results of his urine analysis make the front page of the Daily News.
  22. Good luck, stay safe...and thank you.
  23. Oops...looks like he's already having a tough time with the crush of the New York media. http://wcbs880.com/topstories/topstoriesny..._010111516.html And everyone's worried about Beltan?!?!
  24. Sorry about the divorce...and the loss of the camera. I just bought the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P73. It's reasonably priced, and full of good features. http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Sony%20Cyber-s...0110,srch:kw,x:
  25. This situation really reminds me of Jim's last game, that home loss to the Jaquars. Obviously, he was longer at the top of his game, but could he have come back the next season and helped us win some games? Of course. But I think he had just had enough. Jim had a long and successful professional football career. Did he go out on a losing note...unfortunately, yes. But he did so as a starter, and not a "veteran backup." Just as I couldn't have seen Jim being anyones backup, I can't see Favre doing that either. I think its time for Brett to hang 'em up...and to do so proudly...the Super Bowl winning starter of a fabled NFL franchise.
