  1. I thought it was because he disagreed with Marrone...or both?
  2. Doubt it...also as you mentioned, chronic users (see what I did there?) have circulating "ambient" levels of about 50 ng/ml...so that aspect of the law is stupid.
  3. According to Colorado law...drivers are assumed to be impaired if their blood test shows a level of THC—the active ingredient in marijuana—of 5 or more nanograms per milliliter...so under 5 nanogram/mL that's when.
  4. Marijuana use involved in more fatal accidents in Colorado AURORA, Colo. (May 15, 2014) – The proportion of marijuana-positive drivers involved in fatal motor vehicle crashes in Colorado has increased dramatically since the commercialization of medical marijuana in the middle of 2009, according to a study by University of Colorado School of Medicine researchers. http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2014-05/uocd-mui051514.php Here's another one http://seattle.cbslocal.com/2014/02/04/study-fatal-car-crashes-involving-marijuana-have-tripled/
  5. Unfortunately, there are no breakthrough treatments, there have been several failed clinical trials but really no new treatments.
  6. When you fish in different lakes you use different lures.
  7. As I read this thread I realized the magnitude of RW's passing...the reappearance of so many members of this community that have been absent for a long, long time. What a testament to what he had built, not only a football franchise but a community of strong willed and loyal fans. Thank you Ralph for taking the risk and providing millions of people with lifetimes of joy.....and a little frustration.
  8. It was an option when I went to extend my fraud alert after the 90 days were up. If you're interested just call Experian or one of the others. Nothing can be opened in your name without your knowledge or permission.
  9. Didn't know the bastard. They filed as my wife and I. I do know they were from Georgia. I would recommend that you extend your credit alert for 7 years when that 90 days runs out, and consider freezing it. A little bit of a hassle if you want to open new credit but a really good idea.
  10. Same thing happened to me last year, nothing is resolved yet. Do all the things they recommend, go get a police report for identity theft you'll need the report number when you contact one of the credit reporting companies, Experian etc...and do either a credit alert or credit freeze so they can't do further damage. PM me for more info. Don't get too freaked out, it's been a year for me and nothing bad has happened...I'm still waiting for the IRS to get back to me...oh, you'll have to do a paper return, not electronic, it won't be accepted.
  11. This has run it's course, nominations are being considered, a decision will be made. Thanks for playing!
  12. You really should consider adding that to your sig line...it's an instant classic!
  13. I guess that is just my opinion...not a hard and fast rule. It's actually been done by several people, with thousands or tens of thousands of posts, I don't think it's such a hard thing to achieve.
  14. This a powerful experience that I too have experienced with my Mom back in '95...she under hospice care at home, really wonderful people caring for her. The day after I arrived, the nurse suggested I have this talk with my Mom, she had been really struggling and was heavily medicated. So I told her that I loved her, she was the greatest Mom and that is was okay for her to "leave" now...I don't think a minute elapsed when she was gone...(still brings tears to my eyes)...it was a final gift for her, the permission to give up, something I will never forget, I know my Mom appreciated it.
  15. So very sorry to hear this....my only advice is to not worry about lost vacations or trips or what you didn't do....what is most important is that you were with her and she knew you loved her...knowing that you are loved is more important than anything in this world. You obviously have done all you can do, and while you will be left physically alone, she will be with you the rest of your life, I guarantee you the memories that will turn out to be the most cherished will be something ordinary. My heart goes out to you and your wife.
  16. I wudda offered him two bits...I can out grumpy old man you all day long.
  17. I guess the thread got locked because of some knuckleheads. .Anyway, I just wanted to thank everyone for the support and the opportunity to vent. Some of you expressed some interest in the impact addiction has...here is a link to a relatively new organization that was founded by someone here in CT whose son committed suicide after a long battle with addiction and their quest to improve treatment and end the stigma of "being an addict"...it also shares perspectives from parents and loved ones...if you know anyone who is affected by addiction don't ever give up....they need you. http://www.shatterproof.org/pages/our-story
