  1. I am confused as to your question about what number I wore... what's that in relation too? Secondly what's different now is Mark that that helmet sucked in hind site. Helmet companies thought that helmet sucked and that's why they don't produce them. If it was as simple as mass producing that and solving the concussion problem it would have been done by now. What's different now as well is the knowledge we have about concussions. It's been about 25 years since that helmet was in the NFL. There are much better helmets out now than there were then. Mark told me as late as last year that he does not suffer any lingering problems from concussions. http://cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2011/02/helmet-company-believes-nfl-ha.html This article talks about the Schutt Riddell rivalry and that 30% of the leauges helmets are Schutt even though you never see their company name on any of the helmets. I personally wore a Schutt helmet after being in 3 different types of Riddell helmets and never received a concussion in the Schutt. It is my belief they have a better product to prevent concussions. The below article might help others with this belief as well. http://content.usatoday.com/communities/thehuddle/post/2011/05/nfl-helmets-concussion-safety-study-riddell-schutt-xenith/1#.T6w3KcV9mSo
  2. I have had several concussions and have talked to mark at great length on a number of occasions on just this topic. I have also spoken to several helmet companies as well. Everyone I have spoken to gave me the same answer: these helmets aren't safe. They spread the blow rather than absorb it and they cause great strain on the neck which caused a second concern. Because of this you will never see this helmet again. At the time it was the best option, now it's not. There will never be concussion proof helmets but there are cooncussion preventative helmets. Riddell and Schutt have better products yearly that are helping this. The NFL is doing something about this problem it's just not a problem with an over night solution.
  3. I thought I heard the kicker had already signed? Did anyone else here this?
  4. Here's my theory: mario agreed to terms yesterday and this is all a sick joke... Aka bills way of getting us into national lime light and attracting other high profile fa's in tears to come. Yea...... I'm crazy over tired but why not dream.
  5. Bases loaded has 16x20 photos signed by several players... Bruce, Thurman, etc. They have a website and u could probably call the owner. He is a cool guy has a table in the field house at all home games.
  6. I am pretty sure In Vegas you can watch any game you would like if you go to a sportsbook. Just an idea.
  7. Bills 31 Bengals 17
  8. We park in lot A and stayed until after the game. We live in Rochester and I was home by 5:45. So not bad for us since we got in the car and were driving while most people were still walking to their cars.
  9. New England was given the option and declined that part of the penalty.
  10. Because are wins are against teams that all had winning records last year. I will be the guy that makes the argument that we ruined the chiefs season and that's why they suck now. Oh and the raiders and pats are pretty good
  11. Trust me they couldn't here me! I promise you that. I also promise you I think it's the only time I have ever dropped an f bomb at a game.
  12. Obviously winning the game was enormous, the moment Lindell kicked it through and everything leading up was exciting. My moment though was when Florence got the pick 6. I have never yelled so loud. Erik pears wife sat behind us, nick barnett's family in front of us, it was insane. I think it's because I hate Brady so much. I just remember screaming "f-u Brady!" That was my "moment" anyone else?
  13. I don't know who got laid out but I am pretty sure Merriman made the hit. I remember looking at the guy sitting next to me and saying wow Merriman just killed somebody because he was in the middle of the scuffle afterwards.
  14. There is no night game in week 16 I believe.
  15. One would argue that Vick gets injured every game and the Eagles are highly over rated (1-2) and just plain not good. One would argue the Cowboys are the Cowboys and that there season could go either way. Romo has proven he is anything but clutch. One would argue that the Giants are an up and down team. While Eli has flashes of greatness he also makes quite a few mistake. With our quick passing game I think the NYG have trouble against us. This is all my opinion. Let's be honest the Bills will not go 16-0 but these are 4 games I look at and can realistically see us beating any of these teams. Will we win all 4? Most likely not. If we are going to lose games its better we lose them out of conference because more often that not in the AFC East tie breakers come into play. I really am not concerned with our schedule. I think our team will take 1 game at a time and either we are good or we aren't. If we go into the bye week at 4-2,5-1, 6-0 I think we will be in very good shape to win the division. The schedule and the teams we play is the one thing I have looked at since its release and not been worried about.
  16. I believe Peter King's fine fifteen are not done in order of best to worst. I think it typically looks like that but I am pretty sure he has stated this in the past though I could be wrong.
  17. I said before the season (though I don't have proof) that this year sets up very bad for the Eagles to fall on their face and for Andy Reid to get fired. The 49ers, Bills and Redskins are their next 3 games. They could easily be looking at 1-5 or 2-4 going into week 7. They have to be concerned with Vick staying healthy. He has been hurt 2 weeks in a row and I only anticipate more of that as the season rolls on. Things are not looking up in Philly.
  18. Bills @ Bengals Jets @ Ravens Patriots @ Raiders Dolphins @ Chargers Wow. Week 4 could be pretty big. If I have to predict I think next Sunday will be the last that Tony Sporano coaches the Dolphins in with their bye week in Week 5. I think the Jets have to be very concerned with trying to shut down Ray Rice/Ronnie Brown next weekend. The Patriots clearly have a lot to worry about with the Raiders the way they have been moving the ball on offense. We need to take care of business in Cincy next week. That is all I can say.
  19. Someone please post link I'm on my phone and can't, thanks.
  20. My link I have no problem with him picking the Patriots 35-21 but don't give me the Bills passing defense has been great so far, the Bills have focused on the power run game so far. At least get it right. In the 2nd game we passed 46 times to ran 25. Give me a break with the power run game talk. I just don't understand how their are people that try to write things when they have no clue.
  21. I think on the flip side you can say that Chan Gailey and the Buffalo Bills strength is game planning and making adjustments. The key this week is going to be staying in the game in the first half so we an make our move in the 2nd. The Patriots need to be really concerned if we are within 7 points at half. Something tells me the Bills might win this one going away if they are going to win. As for BB I think he has a lot to worry about. I think us spreading them out and running from the 4 wide sets or throwing from the 4/5 wide sets is real weakness for the Patriots Defense. I think he will have to game plan for a lot of that. I think we are a pretty balanced run/pass team and when I say that I mean production wise more so than attempt wise. I don't think you can try to shut one of the 2 down and feel like you are still in good shape. I think to an extent you will really have to do your best to shut down both and I am not sure the Patriots have the defensive make up to do so. If I am BB planning offensively I spread us out. I put Welker, Ochocinco, Gronkowski, Edleman and Branch all on the field all game. I would be very confident letting Brady throw the ball 50 times on McKelvin and Florence with Reggie Corner and Aaron Williams coming off the bench. I like everyone else think this is going to be a points fest and could be the highest scoring game of this years NFL.
  22. Hahaha I got the funniest picture of someone at my wedding wearing head phones watching a game. I think I would have laughed my balls off if I saw that. You are right though if the wedding is at 12 I can't imagine the reception starts until 4 or 5. If it starts at 4 you have a solid 30 to 45 minutes leeway until food is actually served/buffet opened. I think you have a nice little window of time to get to a bar and watch the game. - Side note My buddy got married during wild card weekend last year and I talked him into getting a big screen put into the ballroom with the game on. He did that and everyone loved it.
  23. This isn't really that surprising. I don't think it really matters who starts where though. We run a ton of 4 and 5 receiver sets. The one thing I really liked seeing is our tight end lined up split out like the Colts always do with Dallas Clark. I think that creates a terrible mismatch for defenses to handle.
  24. He's lined up at wide out already quite a bit this year it seems. I even remember a few times when Fred and CJ lined up next to each other at wide out. I think there is a good possibility he will get more reps there and what it comes down to is the fact he is turning into a play maker. You have to have play makers on the field as much as you can so get him out there as much as possible without taking FJ of the field.
  25. http://www.buffalobills.com/fans/fancam091811.html For anyone that was at the game I just saw this on the Bills website. You can actually zoom into your seat location and find yourself. The picture was taken during half time so you may or may not be in your seat. My Dad and I happened to both be looking down watching the fan vision so our picture kind of sucked but I still think it's pretty neat. I am hoping they do this again this week. Enjoy.
