People say what a great job he's done but his defenses always rank towards the bottom of the league. Even last year the Giants defense Was ranked 27th overall. Our defenses were terrible when we he was here.

I know that after running a route that actually covers 30 or 40 yards and running back to the huddle you are a little gassed. There isn't necessarily a benefit to being in the huddle if you know the play and your role. It isn't highschool football where everyone stays and we go "ready, break!" Watch DB's. Half the time they don't even go in the defensive huddle at all. I really don't find it to be that big of a deal.

This thread turned into people talking about keeping/firing Gailey. I am Just wondering if he signed a 3 year deal, 5 year deal or what when he came here?

I don't bring this up because I want Chan fired after this year I like him. I thought he had a 3 year deal though that would end after this year. Does anyone know his contract status? I haven't heard it mentioned here, by the media or team.

I totally disagree with your idea of lack of preperation. Our QB made some bad decisions and didn't have it last week. That was the single problem offensively. He blew the game on that side of the ball, plain and simple. As for the defense our DB's played off the ball. Williams, and Gilmore are both young corners and McKelvin is just terrible. Nothing happened Sunday where I can say holy crap we weren't prepared. I, unlike many don't see the D-line as a problem. I don't feel like we had much chance to sack Sanchez because of how quick he was getting rid of the ball, not because our D-Line sucked. Call me a homer, I am just looking at what I saw and I don't think that the 1 game is as big a deal as many. Nor do I think it's a reflection on the rest of the year.

I don't think it is as clear cut as you think. I have stats below from the playoff teams of the last 3 seasons and where in the NFL they ranked in overall rushing. It doesn't say if you run a lot you win, if you run a lot you lose. I am sorry all this talk about Fitzpatrick is fine with me. He played awful Sunday and last year. I get it. This team does NOT need a franchise qb to win games though. Not at all. It needs our coach to understand the way this team is built. Whether by design or accident this team has been built to run the damn ball. Last year we averaged 4.9 yards per carry on the year. Through Fitzpatrick, Spiller, Jackson, Donald Jones, Choice, Brad Smith and Thigpen we had 1915 Yards on 390 carries. On Sunday we had a 7.5 yards per carry average. After the preseason game against Detroit I brought this point up to my Dad about how great we looked on that first drive in the run game. On the first drive when all starters were in Spiller got 6 carries for 29 yards. Just over a 4.8 yard per carry average. Our offensive line is built big. We have an average (at best) QB with 2 what I would call above average running backs. I think this is a no brainer. Run the ball 40 times a game and this team goes a long ways. Not only will you score points and win games because it helps open the passing game for Fitzpatrick and receivers because teams will have to load the box. This will also help the defense because we can control the clock for 35 minutes a game on average with this approach I would guess. Am I totally wrong in my assessment of what we should be doing and how this offense is built to succeed?

For what its worth the Bills are -3 this week. It looks like the men that set the lines in Vegas aren't ready to jump of a cliff like many fans and posters on this board. Some will say why does it matter, but lets be honest, Vegas doesn't want to get it wrong and often doesn't. Just thought it was interesting to see... I expected for it to be even.

I blame Gailey for not running from ye start. Maybe on first drive he should have considered, maybe the second? And the thing that pisses me off most even though we scored is when cj breaks off 50 something yard run and choice gets out in thee game. I don't know what gaileys infatuation with him is but I can't stand it. Did it end of last year when cj was starting too.

I am always a fan of deferring. I just thought it was something interesting to consider having this question mark behind what the Jets are going to do offensively. Do you want to shorten their amount of possessions in the first half and give your Defense more time to adjust to whatever BS they have come up with.

Most NFL coaches choose to defer to the 2nd half but this Sunday is different in my opinion. I think with the question marks surrounding what the Jets will do with Tebow/Sanchez and the wildcat the Bills should hope we get the ball first. Chan should go into this game thinking about running the ball more than usual and shorten the game. Keep the Jets offense off the field so that question mark we can adjust to at the half. What do you guys think? Have you thought of this at all?

Above all else the unity amongst fans and specifically the bond it gave my Dad and I from a young age. I absolutely love the NFL specifically the Buffalo Bills. Nothing keeps my attention more than this team.

During the 2010 draft wast the prep work done by levy's staff with Modrak and Guy. I am personally under the impression we can judge Nix as having total control until 2011's draft. Is that so wrong to think that? Until these guys were gone Nic didn't have his full team in place helping make the decisions is my thought. Anyone agree, disagree?
