Why do so many people think that Maybin will succeed as an OLB? This year we were decimated by injury yet Maybin continued to get 2 to 3 reps a game at DE. Don't you think if the coaching staff thought he would be a successful OLB they would have given him a shot there this past year? I can't help but feel like Maybin would be a stud as a blitzing OLB, but the minute he needs to drop into coverage I see him getting killed. Can you see him making the play in coverage that was needed when Brady threw either of the two touchdown passes to Ben Watson in that Monday night game? There is absolutely no chance that that happens in my opinion. I just don't see him being a capable OLB in all parts needed.

I will be getting them because I'm a Bills fan. We haven't made the playoffs in 10 years. I can't help but feel like it is going to be something we didn't expect that actually gets us there. I am all for this move.

The other day on Sirius he said if you have an itch to coach you should stay out. It is only if you have a full blown scratch that you should get back into it. He said he doesn't have that scratch and is enjoying what he is doing now.

I am seeing quite a few people on this message board as well as others say "they better not have hired ...... with only interviewing 2 candidates" some say 3 but you get what I am saying. What makes anyone think the Bills haven't conducted 5,6, 10 interviews already? Buddy Nix seems to have a good reputation throughout the league and he is bound to know a lot of people. They kept the initial Cowher contact under wraps why couldn't they keep other interviews that way as well. Billick could be lying... maybe he has been interviewed, maybe Marty... only the guys doing these interviews know. I personally feel like if it isn't Cowher or Marty that get this job we aren't going to even know that the person hired was a candidate. I think it might come out of left field. This could be a good or bad thing in my opinion. I am just approaching this with the attitude of expecting the least and I wont be let down. After all ANY HIRE will be better than Dick.

Keep in mind that Guy is the main person in charge of college scouting. Nix had some impact over the last year but Guy's input will be necessary for this years draft. There are guys that Nix hasn't seen that Guy has which is why we can expect him to be in Buffalo until April. Maybe expect him to pack his bags in April though.

The thing most people looking for John Guy and Modrak to get fired have to realize is that the draft is only 4 months away and all the information gathering has been done by Modrak over the last 3 months. John Guy works in pro player personel so I would expect to him to be canned but I would expect Modrak to be with the team through the draft. At that point they will then make a decision on whether to keep him or not. As for other guys we will see what happens if Overdorf and some of the others survive. I would however like I said expect Modrak to stay with the team for the next few months at the very least.

OKay so some people are complaining about a big name guy not being hired. I've heard the names Ron Wolf, Floyd Reese, Charley Casserly, the guy in NY from the Giants who has never been a GM. If all of these guys are so great why aren't they in they GM's currently? I am somewhat sick of hearing people complain about every move Buffalo makes. I mean for christ sakes Casserly has been working for CBS for the last 3 or 4 years. If he was still a viable option he would be on an NFL Staff atleast working as the head of scouting or something. What big name guys did you guys want that are worth something? Because most of these big names aren't currentlt in the NFL.

I played there in 02 for Webster. We beat NT 26-0 on our way to the State Championship. It was defintely a fond memory of mine. We had some great years when I was at Webster and the day at the Ralph was great. The weather was terrible. We had freezing rain and wind... it was miserable...everything you could hope for playing in that stadium.

How is it that people think Thurman is a bad person all of a sudden? He has spoken openly about his being an alcoholic and overcoming that. He doesn't even go out with Kelly or any of the guys that are still in Buffalo because he doesn't want to be near alcohol. I listened to him at a speach he did at Suny Brockport. Seems like a pretty good guy to me.
