  1. So you believe that a player should be tried by popular opinion and the media then? I may not have followed that thread correctly so that is why I ask.
  2. I am not missing the point I was commenting on one of several aspects of your post. I agree that most of this is false outrage and mostly misdirected. However; when the entity in question "The NFL" wants to use its morals to punish players for whatever the incident is to show the public it is in control; it can't be then dismissed because it not the lawful entity at other times. It either meters out punishment or it doesn't. It put itself in a position to be criticized by having its own internal "justice" system.
  3. Well in fairness the NFL decided to institute its own punishment system so that they could control the reputation of the league. It is their job to mete out punishment based on acts it believe are harmful to the leagues status in the public eye. It is incumbent on them to get it right as far as the duration and severity. Especially when those players confess to the incidents. In the cases of Rice and Peterson the both have admitted to the charges. Also, the question I would be asking is why, if it has been an option in the past, player haven't been put on this "exempt" list more often?
  4. I am not disagreeing with your premise; however, to believe those are the only players with incidents is somewhat naive. There are certainly cases going unreported or ones that have come and gone without the media highlighting it. That said, I am sure it is inline or lower in percentage than the general population.
  5. If EJ Totally falls apart this year, I believe, the team's plan is to have Orton play out the year and next year then in 2016 see what they can grab. Of course, this depend on whether or not the current leadership is still in place. Unless there is an unbelievable value in the later rounds I do not expect them to draft a QB next year. Surprisingly, it doesn't seem as though Heisman QBs do to well in the NFL. I wonder if this is a sign the that that committee is really not finding the best players and really basing it off popularity/Team W-L record.
  6. I am sure the game was great but I am disappointed I didn't get to go because I would have like to have experienced that in person. Thanks for posting Blitz!
  7. Anything is possible the question becomes is it more cost effective to renovate vs a new build. Sometimes that answer is no. I would assume once the owners KP/TP will make that determination.
  8. Anything could be a consideration but the the question was: I was providing a reasonable objection if one of the owners wanted a reason.
  9. I guess one of the owners could argue, with the current disapproval that they are facing, bringing it an owner who made his money in a way that is very controversial might not be a good idea. Not saying I agree just a reason that is plausible.
  10. Do you have to start writing "sarcasm" after some statements? ... I was making a quip regarding the title of the thread
  11. From the article: The NFLPA has to stop with the unwavering support of poor behavior by its members. There should be something written into to union guidelines that states if accused of a crime we will not fight a suspension. I understand why the NFLPA does this but in my opinion there should be standards for your members to utilize the unions services.
  12. Its been pretty quiet on the reporting lately ... I wonder if we should really believe them. Maybe JBJ still has a chance.
  13. Yes at least this one is not subjective and, perhaps, gives a accurate representation of the team's standing.
  14. I think is shows, at least, a little honesty that they don't just lump all the 2-0,1-1,0-2 together. That said ... these really mean nothing.
  15. Still there anywhere that has a video of the tribute to RCW Jr? I see there are photos up at BB.com but it seems like that would be something they should have videoed and there should be a record of it somewhere. Anyone know?
  16. So both the Bears and Packers came back from large deficits tonight. Impressive .... wait maybe not I can't tell based on the title
  17. Oh really, Dallas? Why pretend, we both know perfectly well what this is about. You want me to have an abortion.
  18. Don't you tell me which zone is for loading, and which zone is for stopping!
  19. The white zone is for immediate loading and unloading of passengers only. There's no stopping in a red zone.
  20. I thought the kudos to Trump and the slight jab at Golisano was pretty interesting and, strangely, I find, I agree with his sentiment.
  21. Not really ... if you consider the Hardy and Ray Rice issue its very possible the team told him if he didn't feel like answering something just give the pat answer. I'm not saying its not drugs but if they thought he was loaded I don't think they would let him talk to the press.
