  1. I can not believe that is true, wasn't Urbik a mainstay at guard under Gailey? There is no way Pears is better at playing a position like that than Urbik who was playing it for years as a starter, is there?
  2. The whole "He needs to get the ball in space", I do not understand. Is he a running back or a receiver? Maybe that is the problem. Either he can preform basic RB tasks or he can not. If he is only good as a receiver than they should only use him like that. Then if he is a receiver is he better than the options a team might have at receiver.
  3. When one is so focused on the negatives of Orton why would they bother to see the benefits he provides? Especially when it is in stark contrast to what the player many are upset was pulled failed to do. It shows a lack of objective reasoning. Fact - Orton has passed the ball for more yards in his two games than Manuel did in any two games he has had. Fact - Orton converts on Red Zone opportunities. Manuel did not. I want Manuel to work out but right now he needs to watch someone who knows offenses and at the moment Orton has the most experience more than Hackett that is for sure.
  4. do you have to ask that when the answer is in the quoted post?
  5. The problem is that some people on this board see nothing between "they suck" and elite. The reality is that there are QB that are good, not great/elite but good and are enough to get the job done and help the team progress. Orton doesn't need to be a savoir. An average to above average QB is all the team needs to succeed. That is what Orton provides this team.
  6. Yeah because that would be a horrible improvement from where the Bills have been over the last 14 years. Really, that would mean sometimes he does better and sometimes he does worse. Meaning from time to time your team might end up in the playoffs and some times they would miss them. This unrealistic belief that every team will have one of the top 10 QBs in the league insane. He has the offense moving the ball.
  7. Can you expand upon that? Maybe give your thoughts as to why you think that fans "make crap up", are "blind", or "did you watch the game"(s)?
  8. In his interview in the 30 for 30 episode regarding the USFL, he said he would never get back into football because there is no money in it(on can debate if its true of not but I tend to agree with him). I highly doubt he ever expected or wanted to be the winning bidder of the Bills. Also, his USFL team never won a USLF title so I am not sure he is a winner at everything he does.
  9. And the defense of those teams. The Bills defense stay in the locker room at half time. Having EJ or Orton out there makes little difference if the Defense doesn't stop the Pats.
  10. That does not appear to be changing anytime soon so what makes you think just leaving EJ in there with the same situation will make him better?
  11. They were only up by 6 point after the last turnover those were not the cause of the loss at half time. The failure of the defense to stop the Pats in the second half is what cause the loss. The Straw-man argument of Orton beginning bad distracts from the actually issues that are causing the problems.
  12. The offense is putting more points on the board. If you do not see the offense is more productive since the change I do not know what you are watching.
  13. Please provide a breakdown on how exactly this is even remotely true? Also, Waktins can only make the catch if the ball is thrown to him and how many rushing yards have they gained in the past 2 weeks with run first team?
  14. If you are going to compare PPG ... you have to look at Offensive points scored per game not team PPG. Giving credit to EJ for points scored by the special teams and defense is silly.
  15. ^ thi, but the pats will also climb lol
  16. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11663100/buffalo-bills-sale-unanimously-approved-owners?ex_cid=espnapi_public Look we finally have an answer to the question:
  17. His bouncing around the league has nothing to do with his abilities(or lack of them). He was traded for Culter, removed for Tebow(because he asked for a release), A coaching change in KC, and Left Dallas because he couldn't stand it. The Cutler trade is something they thought was a slam dunk, Tebow was ... well i can't even answer that, KC is obvious and so is Dallas. He has played one game so, I think its a little premature for this conversation; however, if he plays slightly above average we should retain him for as long as he plays that way. Not every team can have one of the top 10 Qbs; unfortunately, teams spend more time trying to obtain that then playing with a "good" QB and building a quality team where the elite QBs is not necessary, but a nice to have.
  18. http://sports.yahoo.com/photos/inside-the-swimming-pool-at-everbank-field-1412628622-slideshow/ Still its kind of cool ... pun intended.
  19. Who could have predicted that Kirby?
  20. The point is silly to bring up. Would the Bills have won? May not, but EJ would not have won the Chicago game with his receivers make fabulous catches also. It is a team game and all the players are suppose to make plays. The problem is it seemed the receivers were not willing to do that for EJ the prior two games. The point of the the 300 yard game is to show that your QB can move the team when the running game is not working, not they they are an Elite QB. I am sure, if EJ was not so coached up to be risk averse, he would have had a 300 yard game by now. That is something he will hopefully learn from his time behind Orton.
  21. If he hits the gym and does like a paleo diet he will be hard in no time
  22. What might have made thing even more interesting is if the Bills, when he was released by Tennessee, resigned Fitz. They could have admitted their mistake and had EJ learning all off-season from Fitz. That would have been something.
