  1. If the QB is Peyton Manning, Tom Brady or Brett Favre, then maybe they have some input. Trent Edwards has not done enough in the league and is not enough of a leader for a head coach to go to him and say "What do you think?" If he leads the team to the playoffs several years in a row and becomes a team leader then maybe, maybe the head coach asks him. But no way does Chan ask him at this point. IMO.
  2. No one in the media is going to give the Bills any credit until they earn it by winning. However, the Miami radio guys should remember the Bills beat the fish in Buffalo last year and stop being so smug.
  3. Nice, can't wait until Sunday. And no I know I can't do any of that.
  4. Thanks for all of the ****** at the end of all of your post headings. It lets me know to ignore the post and move on to something informative and/or useful. Thanks again.
  5. This is just a throw-away blurb written without any thought or analysis. I love how various media outlets are predicting the Bills to be the worst team in the league. It makes it easier for them to then say that the Bills are a "surprise" team when they go 7-9 or 8-8.
  6. Ummm..... yeah. Unless you consider the United Indoor Football League on the same level as the NFL.
  7. Okay, the obvious ones I've got are: Brett Favre, QB Darrell Revis, CB Albert Haynesworth, DT (not NT, damnit) Matt Leinart, QB (backup, of course) Vincent Jackson, WR Marcus McNeill, OT I would have listed Logan Mankins of the Pats*, but anyone who holds out and thereby causes grief to Belichick and the Pats* is not all bad. T.O. was on his best behavior last year and he hasn't caused problems in Cincy yet, so he gets a pass. Who do you guys got?
  8. Yeah, I know, but apparently none of the sports writers bother looking at past records or what the team currently looks like. They come up with the "Bills are the worst team out there" crap and just repeat it and repeat it until everyone starts believing it. Don't get me wrong, this team has some big holes to fill, but they did last year too. They had an inept head coach and still went 5-10 (Colts game was a gimme since they benched their starters after the 1st quarter). They now have what appears to be an inventive head coach who actually knows how to run an offense. They are making the switch to the 3 - 4, which will be hard to watch (at least at the beginning). But they had a good draft and have looked like a real football team for the first time in a long time. And I call bull**** on your 0-16 preference. No real fan wants to see his team go winless.
  9. No, next question.
  10. The author has drunk the "Jets are the best team out there" cool aid. He's also paying more attention to the "national press" about the Bills than about the Bills themselves. Bills will be 5 - 11 at worst and 8 - 8 at best. It will be an entertaining season and one to build off of.
  11. Ditto. The guy was/is a grade A ***hole.
  12. What's with all of the ****** after your topic headings? Can't remember which ones you started?
  13. When did Yoda join the board?
  14. I don't know you, but I like the way you think!
  15. Thanks for the info McGee, I hate when I get things that just pop in my toolbar like that. Didn't know how to get rid of it.
  16. The Lions didn't want him because they play 4-3 and Ayodele has only played 3-4. Not saying the Bills should sign him, but this is likely a big reason why the Lions didn't.
  17. Agreed, but I'd much rather have a team that has confidence coming into the regular season than one that is in total disarray like last year. Let's hope we are all singing Chan Gailey's praises at the end of the season.
  18. It's great to hear that he's had a good camp, but like others I'll believe it when I see it. An encouraging thing from camp and preseason has been the willingness of Gailey to call for a slant pass. It's a short pass (I know we all hate them), but it has the potential for a big gain, especially with an elusive receiver. Roscoe has the capability and if he can keep his head in the game and focus on what is asked of him, it could be very good for the Bills offense. If he can't, then it will be another year of the same "potential" without any payoff.
  19. Good info, thanks for the post. The problems these guys are having at the pro level demonstrates why none of the people on this board (myself included) work as pro scouts.
  20. They will be better than last year, but it's not like they are Pro Bowl caliber players by any stretch of the imagination. Oh wait a minute, they play for the Dolphins? Then they must be two of the best shutdown corners in the game. The Dolphins are perennial Super Bowl team and they have the genius Bill Parcells in the front office and the very inventive Tony Sparano, a coaching genius, on the sidelines. Their secondary will be dominating this year! Sarcasm off.
  21. Never underestimate the ability of relatively intelligent people to do incredibly stupid things.
  22. Brohm looked okay, but didn't do anything to take the job. Edwards looked good and didn't do anything to suggest they are going to bench him. When it's all said and done, Edwards will be the starter, Brohm will be number 2 and Fitz will get cut. They know what Fitz can and can't do and he's making more money than the other two. Brohm has shown he's a least as good as Fitz and he still has upside. Brohm will see the field once Edwards gets hurt. The Bills will draft a QB in the first round next year and not re-sign Edwards. Brohm and the drafted QB will battle it out and the drafted QB will be #1 and Brohm will be the back-up next year. In otherwords, the quarterback competition doesn't really mean anything, because we'll have a new QB next year anyway.
  23. I have a feeling the Bills knew this was coming and that was one of the reasons they were really working Stupar in. I know that Nelson is not as good a blocker and they definitely need help there, but the guy has the speed, size and hands to be a great receiving TE. That is if he can stay off the drugs. It's sad to see someone throw their life and career away. I hope he can straighten himself out.
  24. I must have missed something, what's this about?
