Agreed. They are not perfect, they've all made mistakes, but they are learning and they are playing with heart and determination. They have had numerous injuries and still managed to field competitive teams. Once E.J. is back, I think they finish the season strong. I wanted them to win this game and still have a shot at the playoffs, but they build off this year and make it next year.

I'm not a fan of the white out/pom pom stuff either. I went to Penn State for college and had my fill of "white outs" then. If the Bills really want to have them though, they should schedule them in the first month of the season when it's relatively warm, people can wear a white t-shirt (not many folks own white cold weather gear), and the likelihood of rain is less. (You could probably even get a grumpy guy like me to wear a white t-shirt on a warm Sunday in September.) The Bills would be more likely to get the casual fans that think going to a white out is "cool" to attend a game then. If you're this type of fan, sitting outside on a cold, windy and likely rainy day in November is not really going to be your cup of tea anyway. The Bills could have set up the Carolina game as a "white out" and they might have sold that non-conference game out a week or two before the game rather than just a couple days before the game like they did.

Marshawn Lynch E:60 puff piece
need therapy replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're going to want to swap out the bags of lime for bags of lye. It's a common mistake to confuse the two. Don't feel bad, it happened to me the first time I was trying to dispose of a dead pedestrian. Boy, was I embarrassed. -
Traffic pattern change in place for Chiefs game
need therapy replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This makes a lot of sense for people who are leaving the Ralph and the private lots on 20A and are trying to get to 219, 90 (East or West) or just continue East on 20A. 219 is a little over a mile from the intersection of 20A and Abbott, so it should make a quick drive onto 219 after the game is over. I just hope that the flow of traffic isn't so fast that they take out any of the pedestrians (like yours truly) trying to get back to their own cars. -
Winner!

The Bills may sit CJ this week vs the Saints
need therapy replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope they do rest him and give his ankle time to heal. While I want them to win this week, the Saints are a non-conference team and a win against them does not mean as much in standings and (gasp) playoff scenarios. Get him healthy for the KC game that I think we have a good opportunity to win. -
Okay you and Big C need to hand over your torches and pitchforks. You two obviously don't know how to riot with the mob after a Bills loss. This is no time for thoughtful analysis! (Good job guys)

Yes. While the Bills D was good percentage wise on 3rd down, they gave up some key conversions that really hurt them. Some of it was scheme on those plays and some was just poor coverage in the secondary. Gilmore's return will be huge.

No, it still does.

Byrd Full Participant at practice today
need therapy replied to dascottbills28's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll get excited when he actually plays a game. Until then this is a non-story. -
Very cool Captain.

I bought a single ticket because I didn't want to miss it due to blackout, and the people in front of me and on either side of me all left before the two minute warning. (And I showered yesterday, so I don't think it was me. )

Predictions - Bills v. New England*
need therapy replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
28 - 24 Bills I think C.J. is going to have a big game and E.J. looks solid. T.J. catches a touchdown and somebody else with a J in their name does something good too (probably FJ). -
Good of you to own it. Everyone on this board is wrong at one point or another, but not everyone is big enough to admit it. Besides, there are a lot of guys in college that look like they'll be awesome in the pros, but for one reason or another, it just never works out for them.

Hairston down, hits keep coming
need therapy replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From NFL.com: October 15 Beginning the day after the conclusion of the sixth regular season weekend and continuing through the day after the conclusion of the 11th regular season weekend, clubs are permitted to begin practicing players on Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform and Reserve/Non-Football Injury or Illness for a period not to exceed 21 days. Players may be activated during the 21-day practice period or prior to 4:00 p.m., New York time, on the day after the conclusion of the 21- day period. So Hairston can begin practicing and be activated if healthy, after week 6. If healthy, he probably would have beaten out Pears for the starting RT spot. I'm not saying he's a world beater, but he would be an upgrade over what we have now. -
Toilet seat collar is officially gone
need therapy replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's nice to see that either the Bills thought those other collars looked dumb or they listened to the fans. Either way, it's a good result. -
Bills Unique Roster Situation
need therapy replied to quinnearlysghost88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope you're right because that would be a sign this team is heading in the right direction. Usually the Bills have players on their 53 man roster who would not be playing on any other NFL team. -
I think an update would be good and C.J.'s the best choice. He's a hard worker, extremely talented, decent interview and seems like a good guy. The perfect person to repesent TBD, unless you got a picture of Beerball doing a TD celebration.

I agree with this to a certain extent, but I believe that the Bills will ultimately decide on either Whisenhunt or Lovie Smith. The franchise has been down for so long that Russ, Buddy and Doug Whaley are going to feel the pressure to get a decent solid coach in here. Lovie Smith has proven to be a winning coach at the NFL level, and I guess you can give Whisenhunt some benefit of the doubt (I wouldn't but apparently they're willing to.). I just don't see them going out on a limb to go and hiring Chip Kelly and going with the uncertainty of whether this college coach will succeed. Even if the fan base loves the decision (and assuming Chip Kelly would want to come) fans will be all over the front office if it fails. After 13 non-playoff seasons, it's not enough to make the effort at appeasing the fans, they have to bring in someone who will actually coach the Bills to victories and the playoffs. The "braintrust" will want to play it safe and go with a coach who has NFL experience and has been successful (or sort of successful). It's not pretty, it's not forward thinking, but I think it is what they will ultimately do.

Not a surprise for a 5 - 10 team that the national media regularly ignores and considers irrelevant.

Eric Wood: "Toronto series is a joke"
need therapy replied to 5 Wide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm really glad Wood came out and said this. This organization seems to think that it is infallible in its decision making and that if they tell the fans that something is a good idea, we'll automatically believe it. I'm tired of being taken for granted by the Bills and I hope that they realize that their decisions are continuing to hurt the team and are starting to erode their fan base.
