OFFICIAL GAMEDAY THREAD (10/3/10): BILLS @ JETS

This team is much better without Trent huh? -
Trent Edwards to have a new team by 4pm tomorrow
Kevin replied to RayFinkle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would laugh my ass off if he went to the jaguars, started, and torched the bills when the two played. -
Getting really tired of this Pats* cheater stuff.
Kevin replied to Jim in Anchorage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With all do respect, I am getting sick and tired of professional athletes/organizations sending messages to our kids on what is right and wrong. IT IS NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO TEACH MY CHILD THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RIGHT AND WRONG. It is MY responsibility! If my daughter looks at what Michael Vick did and thinks it is ok to do that to our dog, THEN I HAVE FAILED AS A PARENT! I have failed myself, my child, and my dog! As a parent, it is YOUR responsibility to teach YOUR kid good sportsmanship, good morals and everything else that is required to be a good human being. Not the New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills, Lance Armstrong, Mark McGwire, etc. etc. etc. -
I still don't get Gaileys issue with Spiller
Kevin replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am sorry, maybe I am mistaken, but didn't they use a lot of Spiller against Miami? What was the result? Miami game planned for Spiller, and shut him down. How many people bitched and moaned that Lynch and Jackson weren't the ones getting the carries? Now that Lynch and Jackson are getting more carries, now every one is bitching about Spiller not getting the carries. We have 3 great running backs on this team. All three have their specialties, and according to Chan all three have their own packages. -
You are all getting your panties in a wad over nothing. This franchise will look entirely different next season, or in 2012 depending on whether or not there is a lockout. I thought what Chan said was pretty straightforward. If he wants to play he has to figure out how to stop the run game. The plan is there, all Maybin needs to do is execute. He isn't doing it, hence, he rides pine.

Since when it is acceptable to tea bag on the field?
Kevin replied to Meark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow, this is a pretty entertaining thread. But it is even more entertaining on WEED! -
What if Scott Norwood's kick was about 2 feet to the left? What if the ref ruled that Frank Wycheck did indeed complete a forward pass? What if I had stayed in college for two more years?
-
It would be because New England played poorly. There would be no credit given to the Bills, in my opinion. ESPN and the likes would focus on the negative plays that New England put up, and how that lost them the game. Maybe one analyst (Dilfer) would focus on the positives that Buffalo had.

Jeff George, or Jeff Hostetler.

Schobel was released. Then he retired after talking to the Texans.

It is an "opinion" article right? So what is wrong with what he said? It is his opinion, that he happens to get paid to print. I agree with some of the stuff he said. I think Edwards should be put in there, and left in there to either figure it out or fail miserably. So what if we go 0-16, take the lumps this year and get a good draft next year. We know what we get with Fitz, and that will be another 7-9 season with the 11th to the 15th pick in the draft that will all but assure us of a franchise QB or LT that we so desperately need.
-
Please don't get me wrong. I don't like Vick either, I just believe that he is the ONLY QB in this league that can immediately help the Bills with his running abilities.
-
Ok Bills fans. Tyler Thigpen? Really? As much as I hate to say it, the only QB that can help this franchise NOW is Michael Vick. So if you want your franchise QB then trade a 1st rounder for him now. The Bills need a QB that can run, because from what we have seen so far that is exactly what he is going to be doing. No matter who you put in the game they are not going to succeed. This line is terrible. I know you all can see it. So stop putting the blame on Trent. Those interceptions weren't his fault. Those sacks weren't his either. He is not perfect, but he is not entirely to blame. So root and cheer for Fitz, or Brohm, or whoever the hell goes in, but in the end the result will be the same. Until this line is either upgraded or they suddenly start to "gel" together this team will struggle. Just get over it, live with it, deal with it, and hope for a better 2011.
-
Against, the future QB for the Bills is NOT on the roster. Suck it up this year, and get the first pick in the draft. Then get your future QB.
-
Unquestioned starter? Have you watched the Bills for the past few years? Or did I miss something? He had JP Losman breathing down his back, and lost his starting job to him. Then when they finally got rid of Losman they got Fitzpatrick, who took his starting job away from him. Whatever. Have a great day everybody. I root for guys like JP, and now Trent. If Trent does not pick it up then he wont be here next year. I think we all know that. But in any event, I root for those guys. I hope that they come back to Buffalo with another team, and torch the Bills. I would hate it for the team, but it would be what you fans deserve.
-
Jesus. Colt Brennan? Let Trent have a full year where he only has to worry about playing and learning a new offensive scheme, and not worrying about losing his job. Yesterday was not entirely his fault. He was running for his life the whole game. They couldn't run the ball. And the OL looked terrible! It is week 1 of what is going to be a very long year. So just look at the positives (defense and special teams) and hope that the offense gets it turned around.

Poz hurt again

I love marshawn! I am glad they kept him

He is probably tired!

Defense is doing good

I thought Mitchell, Kelsay, and Fitz would be cut. I am totally surprised about Brown getting cut being he was the "project" for the new regime. Not surprised about the rest. I am kind of bummed that they cut Bell and Simpson. I thought they both did good, and if nothing else could contribute on special teams. Simpson had a couple of good returns last season for Indy. I felt really bad for D.Harris though. They interviewed him on BB.com and he said that he was relieved that he made the team, then the next day BAM!! gone. That kind of hurt. Poor guy. I always thought that this site was a venting place for the fans. We could either celebrate our team, or share in our frustrations of our team. Either way it is good to have this site. I can't talk to others about the Bills because it ends up turning into 49er or Raider talk. This is the place to come to get info from other fans on our favorite team. So what if my opinion was wrong. It was my opinion, what I thought was going to happen. I think that the "fess up" thread should be more directed to the evil posters that chase contributors like Tim Graham, Lori, John Wawrow and the likes away.

You know so far in the preseason leinert has completed 82% of his passes and has a rating of 110. Just food for thought.
-
Look at it this way. We get Leinert, and we have fixed our LT position.
