That is why I titled the thread "positive notes" Not a fan of hockey. Two TOTALLY different sports. Yes they are 0-7. But I am trying to take a different perspective. I am trying to look at what positives there were from the game.

The score was 7-0 at the half. It was brutal, but they were still in the game. They were never out of it until the end of overtime.

Ok, with all of the negative crap that is going on what about the positives? The Defense didn't give up 30 points. Fitz has a never say die attitude that is starting to reflect on his teammates. He should get a captains patch for it. Spiller is starting to figure out that he doesn't have to try to bounce it outside on every run play. He is taking what the opposing defense is giving him. Lindell did indeed hit the 53 yard field goal, the first time! The Bills showed up, and actually looked like a team for 5 quarters of football. The refs didn't make any bad calls. And last but not least, Aaron Maybin, on the sidelines, in street clothes enthusiastically cheering on his team. Say what you will about him, but that shows the kind of man he is. He may not be a great football player now, but at least he gets the "team" concept. He is doing what he can right now to help his team. Now just do it on the practice field, so that you can get on the game field. Let the roasting begin in 3......2........1......... I love you guys.

Maybin is a bust, unfortunately. I was wanted to see what he could do with a new system, but when I saw he was deactivated that sealed the deal for him. The only way for him to maybe turn it around is to get someone like Merriman in here to teach him. Spiller, not a bust. He has made mistakes, but he is still learning, and he has shown signs of talent. The same can't be said of Maybin.

It Fitz keeps doing what he is doing they draft Defensive Line. The O Line even looked better today, with the exception of Howard who made his first start today against the best defense in the league.

I don't understand what the big deal is. You take the three instances that have been highlighted from the past week. Out of the three the only "illegal" hit was the one that Merriweather put on Heap. To me it is obvious. Look, on this topic, hindsight IS 20-20. The NFL has the technology, and the ability to look at the film a couple of days later, and say either yes, this was indeed a malicious hit, or no it wasn't malicious and make their decision on punishment after that. To me it is simple.

The fans will eventually hate everyone on this roster. I remember when everyone loved Bledsoe, but soon that gave away to the "statue" comments, and then the eventual "lets see what Losman can do" threads. Then it became the Holcomb should be the starter threads, then the Edwards is a stud threads, then the Fitz is the best option threads, now the lets see what Brohm can do threads. It is the same with any other player on this team. Evans sucks, lets see what Johnson can do, oh wait Johnson sucks lets see Parrish. Blah, Blah, Blah.

If fitz gets hurt then brohm will play and brown will be the backup. Duh

This doesn't appear to be a rebuilding year to me either. It is more like a demolition year. Out with the old. It kind of looks like it is going to be a demolition year for the next two years to me, with a potential lock out coming. Then, after the CBA, the rebuild begins. The only thing that confuses me is Kelsay's extension. Which, to that I ask, why?

Did you watch todays game? I did, and it looked like 50 of the 53 men suited up "quit" on the team. I have never seen that before.

Fitz is a good backup. The future of this club is probably not on this team.
