Did you forget about him? Washington Redskins QB, won MVP against Broncos.
I also forgot about Brad Johnson. I am not trying to be a smart ass, and now-a-days you need a better QB to win the Super Bowl, but I don't think you need an elite QB. You just need one that doesn't make mistakes, and Fitz didn't make that many mistakes. To win the Super Bowl you need Defense, which the Bills don't have.
Hmmm, do you think you can match wits with someone like say... Bill Polian?
I don't.
You may be able to match wits with someone like Bill Polian, but we will never know.
We do know that Jim Kelly is a smart football guy. Ex-player that has played in some pretty big games in his career, a hall of famer that knows what it takes to succeed in the NFL. So, why wouldn't he be a good assistant GM under Nix?
Yes, I whole heartedly agree. I love Glee. My wife is not forcing me to watch this, or making me enjoy it. She didn't say that if I watched Glee she would fulfill her marital obligations to me after the show at all. I love Glee.
BBQ pork ribs with a brown sugar/cinnamon dry rub, a apple juice, cider vinegar, worchestshire baste, smoke over apple wood chips.
Spinach dip, chili sauce and cream cheese dip, seven layer dip, broccoli/cranberry salad and lots of wine.
Some team will severely overpay for Kolb just as the Bills did for Rob Johnson. Kolb may be better than Johnson, but he is injury prone, has had a concussion already, and I don't believe that the team that winds up with Kolb will see a return on their investment. I just hope that the Bills don't try to get him.
How bout the things that really matter...
You don't:
Tell your wife that it makes her look fat.
Take food from a hungry dog.
Buy one-ply toilet paper.
Have sex with a coworker at work.
Point a gun at something you are not willing to kill.
I am not trying to jockey for any one QB. I like Fitz. But for the sake of argument I like Kapernick because he is a local boy for me and is very mobile. I also liked Ponder during the senior bowl (what little bit I watched). I don't think there are any clear cut starting qbs that will contribute immediately in this year draft.
If I worked the front office for the bills I would spend the entire draft on o-line, and front 7 defense.
My reasoning for posting this was to try to show that there are/were qbs in the league that have slower throwing motions. That's all.
I give you John Elway. Forward to (3:10)
Mike Vick Forward to (1:30)
On some of the instant replays it really shows his "wind up" motion. All of this talk about throwing motion is over the top. When selecting a QB it comes down to things like the system he was in. Was he a winner in college? If so, how long? Is he a one season wonder? Was he the first guy in the building and the last one to leave? Stuff like that matters, but throwing motion? That is a little "nit-picky" to me.
This is just my opinion too. I am not a scout, I don't work for the league, or any team. I don't break down film. I am just a fan.
You guys are putting way too much thought into it. Come draft day the bills know who they are selecting. They know the scenarios for trade downs, or what to do if the player they target is gone when they pick.
Also, BPA to buddy nix might be different than BPA to mike shanahan for example. It is based on one mans/teams opinion of the players in the draft.
