  1. Something tells me that that particular story line ain't "dead" yet. Just sayin'.
  2. I love your optimism. However, enjoy your vacation. Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Holidays. See you in the New Year. If the Mayans were right then it's been a pleasure seeing your posts. See you on the other side.
  3. I hope to see my daughters rec league soccer team win their championship. That would be sweet!!! I also hope to see my daughter score a goal, she came so close yesterday.
  4. Matt Barkley? Really? Matt freaking Barkley? Do any of these names ring a bell? Do they ring praise in ANY NFL circles? Matt Barkley, Mitch Mustain, Aaron Corp, Mark Sanchez, John David Booty, Matt Leinart, Carson Palmer, Mike Van Raaphorst, John Fox, Brad Otton, Kyle Wacholtz, Rob Johnson, Reggie Perry, Todd Marinovich, Shane Foley, Rodney Peete, Sean Salisbury, Tim Green, Kevin McLean, Scott Tinsley, John Mazur, Gordon Adams, Paul McDonald, Rob Preston, Rob Hertel, Vince Evans, Mike Sanford, Rob Hertel? Those are your USC Trojan QB's all the way back to 1975. NO TO MATT BARKLEY!
  5. The way I interpreted the whole thing is that his contract is voided by the suspension of the GM. I know that there is no chance of him coming to Buffalo. I just thought that with all of the "Head Coaching" threads and how everyone wants Marty, or Cowher, or Wade, or Perry Fewell, or Andy Reid, or basically anyone other than Chan Gailey I would throw my two cents in as to who I would want. Payton was the "hot" coordinator that went to a very bad team and turned it around. That is who I want. The "hot" coordinator willing to try to turn around a bad team should the need for a head coach come up with the Bills organization. I believe that Payton will indeed return with the Saints, and if he should leave then Jason Garrett will be sent packing ASAP.
  6. Per Adam Schefter on twitter. http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=8592214 Now THAT would be an acceptable head coaching candidate to me.
  7. I ate a healthy serving of corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick's day a year and a half ago and got gout. Stay away from pork and beef for awhile. Also could be pseudo gout (fake gout). Caused by salt and not protein. Everyone I know that's had gout (including myself) has had to take medication for it. Mine got so painful that I had to sleep with my foot propped up praying that NOTHING touched it. Seriously something as light as a bed sheet caused me to scream in pain. My left big toe swelled up to the size of a baseball.
  8. So now they decide they need a QB when this years draft class is the weakest class ever.
  9. No worries. They haven't really followed the comics all that much. The show is quite different.
  10. Kid should've listened to the cop. I guess. Damn. Smart move there by Officer Dingleberry.
  11. Thank God. This guy is a bonafide prick. I hope someone steals his candy tonight.
  12. There really are no options. This team has to learn to play together, gel together, figure out what they are doing together. That's it. Rookies have to grow up, leaders have to emerge, and the baggage has to be unloaded. The only way for that to happen is to get out on the field, get embarrassed, get punched in the mouth, and claw your way back. That is how you build character, and maturity as a defensive unit. Cowher? He already said "NO". What makes you think his mind is going to change in 3 years. Face it Buffalo Bills fans, this franchise will not get a top flight coach.
  13. With every post you make you get more and more incoherent. "Both negotiations are nearly to the FUBAR point…"? What the hell does that mean? I'm not an English major but I can tell a screwed up sentence when I see one, and that sentence is definitely FUBAR (see what I did there?). "GOOD NIGHT NOW !" When did this turn into the Jim Rome show? Do you expect to get racked? I don't think Rome would characterize that as "rack" worthy. In fact, I'm pretty sure he would have buzzed your ASS when you started pimping yourself as the "Beacon of Clarity". Stop spewing your abusive vitriol towards Russ Brandon. "Farts from his mouth"? Grow up and be a man. Or leave, and don't let the turnstile hit you in the ASS on the way out. rack me
  14. I say this somewhat light heartedly. 400 and 400 setting yet another new NFL record. My gut says this isn't going to be pretty. Maybe Wade will take it easy on them in the 3rd and 4th quarters. And that ladies and gentlemen was my 1500th post.
  15. After the preseason the way I decided to personally view the performance of this team was by the margin of the teams losses and how competitive the Bills were in those losses. Looking at the schedule there were/are some games that I feel the Bills should win. With that said... That is all out the window now. This team needs to win the games I didn't think they would win. This team needs a miraculous turnaround, NOW. I don't think they will win every game. The next two games I think they will lose. However, this team has to beat both the Texans and the Patriots. If they lose these next two games I'm thinking it's going to be a 4-12, 5-11 season at best. Also, as an off topic side note: I don't think I can handle another rebuild. I'm getting tired of this $#&!
  16. Right. Also something to remember is that selected 2 QBs in last years draft. Also if they were on a ridged timeline they would have been hustling for Locker, Dalton, Ponder or trying to trade for Newton and not settling for the Grossman/Beck show.
  17. Quote from the linked article. “I really don’t know anymore,” Dareus said last week, when asked whether he thought his play had been affected by the circumstances in his personal life. “It’s life. I really don’t want to speak on that. “It’s just how things are right now. I still love football. Love everything about it. Love the people, love my teammates. It’s just … I don’t know.” Marcell is having issues right now. His production isn't going to be great when he has his brothers MURDER on his mind (and deservedly so). If he doesn't want to talk about it then he doesn't want to talk about it. The time will come when he will open up more, but it takes time. Also, when it comes to the murder of a close family member there is NO time frame on mental recovery. It could, and probably will bother him for the rest of his life. Marcell has to work through this. He has to be the one to take the step to get help dealing with it. It's up to him, not Gailey. So when Chan says that "you need to talk to the player" that doesn't mean that he doesn't know. Gailey does, he is just doing his part to help the kid heal. For that, I give Gailey props for taking the heat off of the kid.
  18. Fewell isn't Chan Gailey. In 2009 the majority of the posters on this board wanted a complete overhaul of the coaching staff. The fans got their wish. Sure, it wasn't Mike Shanahan (who said no), or Bill Cowher (see Shanahan), or Brian Schottenheimer who didn't even want to interview. It was Chan. Fast forward three years and Chan is the fans enemy. The fans want Chan gone, and yet another complete overhaul of the coaching staff/front office. The fans now decide that they would have rather had Fewell as a head coach. So as we the fans enter the offseason on what appears to be another disappointing season we will want another coaching change. Three years from now, well, lets just say history repeats itself.
