The Sabres could have been grabbing up those high picks these past 3-4 years.. instead they make their annual late season push for 9th place. Let's hope they tank the entire year this time... you just know they are going to get hot in late March.

I liked the decision to go for it but hated the play calling on that series... Put Spiller in the game and use him as a decoy either fake a pitch or have him run a screen out the backfield... The D would be sure to bite on that big time.

If our vaunted D-line could show up consistently that would really help...

Can you explain? It is pretty bad.. Stevie is not a true #1 receiver.. he just isn't. He is a possession slot guy who can get open but lacks big play ability and has suspect hands. While Woods is no doubt good for a rookie, he is still about an average NFL receiver at this point and nothing special. (so far) Graham hasn't proved he belongs in the league, Easley same thing... Goodwin hasn't played..

Agreed, also that game is quite meaningless as it was in wk 17 with the neither team having anything to play for. I disagree with anything Tebow related, he throws like a girl.

They continue to rehash the same tired talking points over and over again.. Myers, Darcy, and should they trade Miller and Vanek. The Sabres are going to be one of the worst teams in the league again this season... Not unlike the Bills but still Football season is short and they are already heavy in to the Sabres coverage.

Hacket doesn't even know how to use Spiller effectively even though there is a year+ worth of tape showing exactly how to use him. I hope he figures it out that you need to get these fast guys the ball in space.

Did anyone here clamoring for Geno actually watch the Tennessee game? I guarantee you did not. The Falcons are terrible this season... btw. Jeff Tuel would light them up.

How about giving the Pats, Jets, and Phins a home game over there?

They are a great team but it's a long season and Manning has shown that he is a better regular season QB than Playoff QB. I would love for them to consider that deal but seems highly unlikely.

Back tightened up on him? Good thing he should be good to go next game. Without him the receiving core is quite bad.. Woods is a decent player right now but he is easy to shut down if he is the only option.

He's played 4 and a half games so far... and stop with the "they could have gotten him in round 2", you don't know that so stop referring to it like he would have been there. I completely disagree that we should expect more because he was a first round pick... a few years ago it was believed the best thing for rookie QBs to do was sit and learn from a vet for a year and then play.. Go watch Russel Wilson last year, you see the same things, he got better as the season went on and was really playing well late.

The secondary is decimated with injury I don't think you want to leave those guys on an island vs Gordon and Cameron.

This guy had 25 TDs and 6 INTs in just his second season... he has fallen quite a ways but there is potential there.. I still think he could be a good/great QB in a different situation. He needs a new start somewhere that wants to build around him.

Well the first road game was a train wreck... so I'm hoping they learned something and come out stronger than that game.

Byrd will not be here next season.
