    They have tried to build the D up the past 2 years but the coaching change royally screwed this up by changing schemes. It's hard to win with a great defense because you have to rely on having 11 good to great players and little to no injuries. A good QB can get a mediocre defense to the playoffs. We can go 7-9 without Tyrod. He isn't the answer at the position.

    I don't see how finishing 7-9 helps Rex come back next year, while a 9-7 finish would hurt him??? At 9-7, he can play the injury "what if" game and play that to Pegula.

    I find it funny that I have gotten official warning from mods here for calling a post "dumb" before yet some of the stuff I have seen on this board lately is so much worse.

    This team is desperate for a WR who can stay on the damn field. It seems like we have been constantly hurt at that position for like 5+ years running.

    I don't disagree with much in this thread regarding Murph,etc but the typical response of if you don't like it don't listen is rich. What other options are there for sports coverage for the Bills/Sabres? If you don't have satellite, options for any sports in general are slim to nil.

    I think the 49ers game is skewing the stats quite a bit. Does anyone think this offense is good? The pass game is the worst in the league. The running game is the only thing keeping this unit barely NFL caliber and even that looked awful vs Miami.

    Dealing from a position of desperation. Does Torrey Smith save this season? I'm not sure about it without knowing the playbook, scheme, etc. He is a solid deep ball threat with a big contract. What would the 49ers want? A 3rd-4th+? I wouldn't give up a 3rd for him. Player for Player trades are difficult, especially in season.

    This team needs to draft a WR early next year, and bring in a vet starter in the off-season. I don't see them trading for Smith. This should have been expected with us so thin at WR to start the season. We seem to always get depleted at that spot.

    Are we really ragging on Tyrod without his RB, 2-3 WRs, no run game? The defense was lights out terrible today. Run defense was an atrocity.

    I don't think that it is likely that they would be able to get a 1st for him. But stranger things have happened in this league. The guy is still extremely talented and pretty young still.

    Kind of surprised by all of the NO's. Do you guys really thing he won't smoke again? If I could get a 1st I would make the deal.

    Not sure how a win vs Jacoby Brisket proves anything about Whaley. They won a game that they should have. The trade up for Watkins is a fireable offense however.
