Rumor: Trade up discussion with Giants

When was the last time the Bills picked at #2? I know we’ve drafted at #3 in recent memory but dont recall the two spot. -
Cover 1 Breaks Down Trent Murphy

My good friend is a Skins fan and he was bummed that we got Murphy. He wanted to give him another shot bc of the talent level. I think this is a perfect opportunity for him to start fresh. Low rish high reward for us. I like it. -
Why not give McCarron an honest chance?
bobobonators replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Id say we gave Tyrod an honest shot at winning the job. He did. He had a winning record. We made the playoffs. And we bitched and whined every minute of it as fans bc he wasnt a “franchise QB”. So yeh, lets relive that with AJ. Sounds lovely. No thanks. I want to trade the farm now for a QB. That way if he needs to be burned at the stake, it’ll br well-deserved. -

He’s 27yrs old and has been in the league how many years now? I feel like ive heard this before with another player we had. Hmmm -
Bucky Brooks: The Book on Josh Rosen
bobobonators replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can see the Giants taking him. It simply makes too much sense. The Giants havent drafted in the top 5 since they drafted Rivers in 2004; before that 1996. A winning franchise like the Giants rarely ever drafts this high and now has a chance to reset for the next 15yrs by taking a blue chip QB simply by staying put. Eli plays one more season and Rosen starts in 2019. -
If i had a master plan, this would be it: when i traded Tyrod to the Browns, I wouldve already had an agreement with them to trade for the #1 pick. Let every team below me maneuver and trade picks before the draft thinking theyre going to get their guy, but i already have an agreement in place with the Browns to wait until draft day to trade up to 1. We send them both our #1 picks this year; both our 2nd round picks this year; and our 1st round pick next year to move up from 12 to 1 overall. Draft Rosen. The Browns get a starting caliber QB in Tyrod and 3 first round picks overall + 2 second round picks. The Bills get back the #1 overall pick and the 3rd round pick for TT.

Check Out this Mock after the Jets trade

I keep going back and forth with the Giants. On one hand you have a team that can draft one of the best RB prospects in a generation and possibly win now with Eli, Barkley, OBJ. On the other hand you have the reality that the NY freaking Giants are drafting #2 overall for the first time in how long?! This is a perfect opportunity for a winning franchise to set themselves up for the next 15 yrs and draft a blue chip QB. The giants havent drafted in the top 5 since 2004 (rivers/eli) and before that was 1996. With an aging Eli, this can be their chance to reset the franchise. Let Eli start one more season. And then start Rosen or whoever they draft at 2 in 2019. Keep in mind that the Giants have a new GM. You know that GM wants to have a sure thing at QB to replace Eli. Giants are tough to predict. I can see i go either way but the more i think of it, i can see them going QB. -
Its a joke. Guess it wasnt funny ?

Bc a large majortiy of the people who kept saying that Tyrod was what he was used his years in the league as a reason. So extending that argument, AJ is what he is too: a career backup.

Said it in another thread. This is the Colts’ payback for the Hughes trade years ago.
-
Can we trade to pick number 0?
-
This was the Colts’ payback for fleecing them on the Hughes trade years ago. #neverforget.

McCarron is ONE YEAR YOUNGER than Tyrod, yet Ive already read on these boards how AJ has upside and can sling it blah blah blah. Its comical how the grass is always greener; until its not.
-
Based on the price the Jets paid to move up 3 picks, the Giants are well within their right to ask for our 2 firsts and second rounder this year, and next year’s first, to move up from 12 to 2. If theyre THAT into a QB than its worth it. But if theyre split between a couple of QB’s then its not. A QB will be there at 12.

Wtf? Has that EVER happened?

The Jets Just Made a Mistake

100% better in that the odds of landing your guy at 3 are better than 12. Lets not argue semantics now. -

Dont worry youll get to see what a real tank job looks like with AJ and Peterman tossing the ball around this year.
