I feel the only reason anyone like Ramsey is even talking about Allen is bc of Allen’s comments that surfaced from when he was a teenager. I’m sure those comments caught certain people’s attention and now they’re going to target Allen as best they can. This is has nothing to do with Allen’s talent level. Or Ramsey being afraid of Allen. What i meant is im not sure if that would put the Raiders over the cap or not for this season i just looked it up and the Raiders have a little more than $4m in cap space left this season (theyre near the bottom). That obviously includes what Mack is getting paid. But if they exchange Mack for Hughes and Shady, theyd be about $4-5m over the cap this season (i think Mack’s cap hit is $11m this season?). These are just straight numbers and there are more intricacies when it comes to the cap but the Raiders can’t absorb both Hughes and Shady.

I dont think the Raiders could afford both Hughes and Shady contracts. Without looking that would be about a $20m cap hit Beast mode is as much of a sure thing at this point as is the weather. Shady would instantly be the primary back for the Raiders and take that offense to another level. Lynch, if he even makes it all year, would be a nice counter punch in the red zone.

I still don’t think this is a good look for KB. When KB was traded from Carolina Cam had nothing but nice things to say. Then KB trashed Cam publicly. I don’t disagree with you. Mack isn’t just an above average defender, though. He’s arguably a top 3 defender in the entire NFL. If average QB’s like Flacco and Cam can carry a cap hit well over $20m/yr then we can pay one of the best defenders that money while we have Allen on the cheap. The Second most valuable position besides a QB in a passing league is a player that can get sacks in a passing league. It’s a delicate balance committing a player to that much money, but our cap situation is great. We have Allen under contract for years. By the time Allen is up for another contract, Mack’s contract will be winding down. Front load his contract now. Id trade the Raiders Shady McCoy and our 1st round pick for Mack.

Cam is a below average passer, with great arm strength, and great size/athleticism. It’s hard to disagree with KB’s critique. Cam at times is wildly inaccurate. Even Cam must know this. Josh Allen might be our Cam (minus the post game antics).
