it is hard to say. Im always weary of such years. The monster averaged over 5ypc this season and hes going to get paid accordingly. I just dont see him having many more seasons like this one. Hes 26 and such a big dude id love to have him as a compliment to Singletary but his salary is not going to be that of a complimentary player. Hopefully he stays with Ten and continues to have success there.

Such a frustrating game. I have same gripes as everyone else, nothing new: 1. Singletary never seems to get enough touches. 2. 3rd and 18 3. Missed tackles 4. missed sack in OT 5. missed block in OT where Allen couldve ran down the field easily into fg range. 6. lack of urgency to score a TD at end of 1st half. Seemed content with a FG. 7. Brown being unable to drag his feet in the 1st half on that play that woulda put the ball inside the 5yd line - Come on brown! we didnt deserve to win - thats that.

Id love to see our record with Allen missing the season, Brown missing time, and Singletary being out..all at the same time. I disagree. It would be an all-in move to have the #1 defense as opposed to the #2, or #3 defense, which we already have. That doesnt improve our overall position much if we cant score more than 17-20pts/game. we still need several really good players on this team on both sides of the ball. Draft picks will help. Several, not just one, really good and expensive FA will help.

Id be psyched, not gonna lie. Its scary to invest so much on a single player - its not just money we’re investing. He would cost us 3 players worth of draft picks and a crapload of money. He pulls a hammy week 3 and the proverbial poop hits the fan

thats why you focus on improving the offense during this window. The defense is already great. We need to score a heck of a lot more than we’re doing. Elite OL cost money. Id rather trade draft picks for an elite WR that may become available (who knows)...just throwing it out there. if our defense sucked, or was just average, id be much more in favor of investing money AND draft picks (lets not dismiss how costly thatll be) on a single defensive player.
