What to do with Dawson Knox

Hopefully! I dont dislike him, just frustrated by his mind-numbing drops at times. Sometimes that cant be fixed. But he does have all the physical tools -
What to do with Dawson Knox

I totally agree to stick with him this season. If anything he has been improving. My original post was more in terms of looking at next season bc of the potential TE’s in the draft. I was wondering if we invest a first or even second rd pick on a TE. -

Outside of Knox, none of the TE on the roster could be considered a viable pass-catching threat. TE is a top 5 need for this team. What happens to this offense if Diggs gets injured? We already cant run the ball effectively. This is an aerial attack offense, which I love. As such, we need a reliable threat at TE. Im not saying that’s our biggest need, but certainly top 5 on the team and arguably our biggest need on offense. I agree about adding to the oline. At this point, you go all in on Allen and this offense for the next couple of seasons in my opinion. Try to keep the defense respectable, but not at the expense of the offense. -
I know this topic has been touched upon numerous times but here we go again. Knox has been more involved in the offense since the SF game - it has been great to see. This offense has been rolling. A top tier pass-catching TE is what this passing attack needs to be consistently elite in my opinion. It’s impossible for an opposing defense to account for Diggs, Beasley and a TE threat. A team with an elite corner like the Dolphins may be able to shadow Diggs and somewhat take him out of the game, but with Beasley and a TE threat the offense would still be dynamic. Knox has all the tools to be that threat we need in the redzone and over the middle of the field but this dude continues to raise question marks. How does he drop that TD last night? His hands can be too unpredictable for my liking. This upcoming draft has a couple of really good TE options. Do we stick with Knox as the starter one more season to see if it all clicks at some point? Do you guys want to spend a first or second round pick on a TE next yr?

Ive noticed this too. Bass has been such a huge part of our team this year. Bass is able to get so much hang time that by the time the KR fields it at the 5yd line he has players all over him and the opposing team gets horrible field position. What a stud.

2021 Opponents are now Confirmed.

We are a top 3 team in the AFC now. We shouldnt be scared of anyone. The Jets and Pats - an automatic 4 wins. Miami worst case we split - thats 5 wins without even looking at the rest of the schedule. Jaguars, Texans, Falcons, Panthers - we are better than all of them. We are already at 9 wins without breaking a sweat. That schedule looks like a pretty easy road to 11-5, at worst, next season. -
Im not really following your logic. Mel does this for a living - sure he was right about Allen; however, he’s been wrong about many players. It doesnt mean he can or cant be a GM, it simply means he was right about Allen. If Joe Blow sitting on the couch at home, who knows and studies football inside and out as a serious hobby was right on Allen too, does that mean he could be an NFL GM?

Did D. Williams Make a LOT of $ Tonight?

The opportunity was there without smoke. Allen missed Davis which wouldve been a TD. -

Agreed. This offense has been fine without Brown so id let him walk if that means keeping Williams. Williams is in the prime of his career. Allen is a stud and every resource in this franchise has to go into protecting him and giving him weapons. Could you imagine waiting 30yrs to find our franchise QB and then not giving him a damn OL to protect him or weapons to showcase his talent? A stud tackle > good WR in my opinion. Brown is good at what he does but hes a limited WR and replaceable. Id resign Williams even if it means Milano has to walk too. Again, we’ve been OK without him. First 3 rounds of draft in no specific order: TE OL (guard or center) LB (if Milano leaves - DL or DB if we resign Milano) we have two 5th rd picks next yr so we can add some quality depth to OL/LB as well -

Watt is a 10 and he was neutralized by that 8. You could argue that a lesser RT - a 7 or 6 - yesterday mightve lost us the game. All it wouldve taken was one timely strip sack or Watt having 2-3 drive killing sacks. The most i saw of Watt yesterday was him taking a breather on the sidelines. Resign Williams. Im more comfortable drafting a starting LB in the 2nd or 3rd rd than i am a top 5 RT in the NFL - which is basically what Williams is. Now that we have our franchise QB we need to keep adding to the OL and offense, not subtracting from it. Let McD work his magic on the defensive side. We need to continue to give Allen weapons and most importantly time in the pocket to use those weapons. -
Squeelers v. Bills, Week 14 Game Balls

The entire O-line. They eventually took over the game. Pitt brought the house every other play and they bent but never really broke. Outstanding. -

The dolphins are possessed. This kind of luck is unsustainable.
